Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3661  The Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clanʼs Decision

The Earth Dragon Clanʼs Battleship destroyed the barrier.

However, it was only the outermost barrier of the city. They still had to pass through the other four barriers. Unlike Stella, they didnʼt have the necessary understanding of Space Laws to quickly get in, not that he knew if their giant battleship could even try something like that.

Davis didnʼt wait for them and looked down on the Ancestors whose expressions were unsightly.

He smirked lightly, ”Good timing for a countdown. Now decide before they destroy the fourth and last barrier or face death.”

”Wait… what our inheritor did has nothing-”

”Iʼm not here to hear excuses.” Davis raised his hand, coldly interrupting, ”Your inheritor is undoubtedly representing your clan. If you disagree, then you shouldnʼt have sent Girias there in the first place.”

”…”

One of the Ancestors touched his forehead and saw the blood flowing down his hand.

He shuddered, not knowing what hit just hit him just now when the Divine Emperor of Death raised his hand.

It happened so quickly. He didnʼt even see a sickle carve his forehead ever so lightly before it rushed past him and cleaved through a building.

His expression was still unsightly as he looked around, knowing that his people were ready for war, but he knew that this was a hopeless one as the one they were facing turned out to be the Divine Emperor of Death, who singlehandedly defeated the Fire Phoenix Clan.

At this moment, he has never hated a person as much as Girias.

Even if Girias wanted to take down Isabella, he shouldnʼt have insulted her to that degree or connected her with the Divine Emperor of Death. There wouldʼve been some leeway to talk if he hadnʼt done that, but now, even the Earth Dragon Clan was making its way inside, intending to destroy them.

*BoooM!~*

The second barrier was destroyed by the Earth Dragon Clan as they advanced, causing the other Ancestor to roar.

”Why!? Is there no other way? We can offer eighty percent of our Spirit Stone Vein Sources as compensation. If you take our Legacy Treasures away, then we will die regardless in this chaotic period!”

He cried out, looking livid yet also desperate.

”…”

Davis had no words to offer.

He already made his intentions clear, making a V with his fingers.

If Mingzhi had seen it, she wouldʼve fainted laughing as that was a peace sign, but it really just meant that there were two barriers left and that they should make their decision soon.

”Aaarghhhh!!!”

That Ancestor roared in frustration as though he was going to launch an attack at Davis, but his undulations managed to disperse, making him gasp for breath before he turned to look at the Ancestor who had first communicated with Davis.

”Letʼs abandon him.”

”No way. We must fulfill the duty passed down by our ancestors. We have to win the Candidacy no matter what, and for that, the chances are better with all three of our Candidates.”

”You- you want our entire line to disappear then!? Thereʼs no way Girias can win the Candidacy with his measly ability amidst the other talented Candidates out there. You know that! Donʼt deny it!”

”Even so-!”

Watching the two Ancestors argue while being pressed for time, Davisʼs lips curled into that of a devil. He could also hear the chain of command starting to break as their Patriarch sent them soul transmissions on what to do, yet he didnʼt get any reply other than a few stern curse words.

The people below the Patriarch also released their frustration as they couldnʼt get to do anything while their barriers were breaking one by one.

Hearing all this, Davis finally felt some of his frustration seep away.

Just how many times had he been in their foot, telling people not to mess with him, yet they somehow ended up doing that exactly, trying to harm his family?

ʼIt doesnʼt feel good to be on the brink of extinction, does it?ʼ

His thoughts almost poured out, but he kept quiet, waiting for their answer. Even his reasonable side knew Giriasʼs actions had little to do with them, but it was just not how it works in the cultivation world.

Oneʼs action would drag even the last nine generations down, so a representativeʼs action would affect the entire power, making them grow or cause them to collapse in a single night like it happened for the Godwin Family.

*Booom!~*

The third barrier came down as a ray of light shot through the barrier, even hitting the fourth.

”W-wait, wait, wait!”

That Ancestor who was in favor of abandoning Girias raised his hand with a desperate expression.

”We abandon him! We abandon the second inheritor of the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan, Girias, because of his extreme and wicked behavior towards Earth Dragon Empress Isabella Davis!”

”…”

Davis almost cracked a smile as he saw Ancestorʼs pathetic reaction, but for some reason, he hated that they chose this method.

ʼI really came here hoping to kill, huh…ʼ

He looked toward the Earth Dragon Clanʼs battleship. They were recharging their offensive formation to attack the fourth and final barrier, but obviously, the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan made its decision to abandon Girias.

The other Ancestor had his face scrunched into one of humiliation, but he didnʼt say any words of retort, looking deeply remorseful.

”Very well.”

Davis opened his mouth, ”Capture your public apology in high quality Imagery Stones and send it all the intelligence networks, especially Black Claymore. Next, form a Blood Soul Contract with the Earth Dragon Clan with the intention to working together to kill Girias as soon as he returns without a shred of excuse, which means you canʼt intentionally let him escape either.”

”…”

The two Ancestors heard the condition, and one of them, who was still reluctant, breathed out a sigh.

”Why the Earth Dragon Clan?”

”Oh?” Davis raised his brows, ”Are you saying you would rather exchange a contract with an Anarchic Divergent like me? How indiscriminative of you.”

”No- we….”

The first Ancestor shook his head, but Davis stared down coldly, causing the former to lower his head.

*Booom!~*

The fourth and final barrier of the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan broke and the Earth Dragon Clanʼs Battleship entered. Instantly, swarms of immortals flew out like they were locusts. There were as many as six hundred Immortal Kings and six Immortal Emperors including Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder who seemed to be the strongest of them all as she was at Level Five Immortal Emperor Stage.

It seems to be that Isabella had allowed her to raise her cultivation a bit.

”Divine Emperor of Death, shall we lay waste to this city and claim the heads of these vile serpents?”

Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder cupped her hands and bowed her head, appearing highly respectful.

”No need.” Davis shook his head, ”They agreed to publicly condemn Girias and execute him upon his return. Make sure to impose a heavily restricted Blood Soul Contract on them. If they refuse to cooperate over these terms, call me.”

He explained the terms, causing Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder to nod before she reported something.

Apparently, they also sent a battleship to the Luminous Temple way earlier, although their location was still unknown to them, but they eventually found Miraʼs aura nearby, which led them to find the Luminous Templeʼs Mini Realm.

Together, they started a siege.

”Divine Emperor of Death, I believe we have an idea of the whereabouts of the Soul-Devouring Soul Vulture Clan.”

”Oh?” Davis reacted in an intrigued manner.

After some time, he left with Stella, heading towards the location Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder provided. Apparently, a third battleship from the Earth Dragon Clan was already on its way there, ready to engage them in case their mini-realm was found!

Davis loved how the Earth Dragon Clan didnʼt hesitate to support Isabella. It was clear they were banking on her winning the Candidacy!
