Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1257 - Grown Up...

Niera had just finished taking a bath after having an intense Body Tempering Cultivation session in the small town. She came out of her roomʼs bathroom in the mansion constructed by her parents and wore her pure white robes, looking in the mirror and grooming her blonde hair into a princess braid while she let the other strands flow freely to her waist, thinking that she was perfect today as well.

All this took her a mere ten minutes. She stood up, moving towards the window she had rarely seen before, and pushed it open, taking in the view that she had come to like for these few months. Previously, she was living in a cave with all others, and these types of architecture werenʼt in use as others like small shacks and buildings were present.

Because there wasnʼt enough space for a big building and they couldnʼt expand due to the Infernal Lightning Palace and the dark-attributed magical beast after the death of the former, they had never thought of building one, but coming out to this mountain forest and clearing out an area for them to live, they had all the area to expand.

It was like living in a new world, yet she understood that it was not because she believed that he would take her out to see the vast world.

”I wonder when he would breakthrough... I hope he does sooner and safer...” Niera lazily hung by the window, feeling bored.

She had watched his face for months, and suddenly, not being able to witness that sight of him simply training left her feeling like she had a hole in her heart. Feeling lonely, she felt like wanting to see him even at this moment, but couldnʼt as she knew that she couldnʼt disturb him.

She had to endure the time of waiting that she even began to resume cultivating her Body Tempering Cultivation to divert her attention using pain, but that just made her feel more melancholic instead.

”You called?”

Niera turned her head to her side and saw him carefreely sitting on the window ledge. Her eyes went wide as she almost screamed, but Davis instantly reached out his hand and shut her mouth, and placed his other handʼs index finger over his lips, indicating her to be silent.

Niera calmed down as her excitement began to fade, but she suddenly realized something as her muscles went stiff. Davis took his hand back on seeing that she had calmed down, but looking at her have a stiff smile on her face, he couldnʼt help but ask.

”What ar-”

”You just got here, right?” Niera interrupted him as her cheeks went red.

Davis blinked before he realized that she had a special fragrance brimming from her, making her smell good. His eyes narrowed into a l.e.w.d smile as he knew that she had just taken a bath while his lips turned into a teasing curve.

”Guess...”

”You...!” Nieraʼs cheeks blushed crimson as she meekly echoed, ”Youʼre lying!”

”Lying? But I just said take a guess...” Davis acted ignorantly as his brows narrowed.

”You- Your expression said that you had already come here a while ago...” Niera retorted as she raised her hand, punching him towards the gut.

However, Davis did not defend. Her fist landed on his gut, and he simply looked shocked at her actions that Niera realized that she had done something wrong and started to panic.

Davis grasped her wrist as he threw his legs into the room and stood up, pulling her into his embrace as he held her waist with his other hand.

”You dare to punch me?”

Nieraʼs expression shook, ”I dare...! But Iʼm sorry for before... I didnʼt mean to increase my strength...”

ʼUhh? Did she?ʼ Davis blinked as he didnʼt feel a thing from a punch. It was as if she was massaging him, so he was delighted that she punched him.

”I just recently made a breakthrough to Mid-Level Iron Stage. I didnʼt have much control over my physical prowess...” Niera further explained, making him understand.

”So what are you going to do if I had seen you n.a.k.e.d? Mhm?” Davis arrogantly asked.

”Then become mine...” Niera brazenly uttered, but her blush said that she was shyer than she seemed to be.

”No, you will become mine...” Davis smiled as he leaned and kisser her soft rosy lips.

Niera didnʼt dodge but grabbed onto his cheeks and passionately kissed him, savoring his lips as if getting a good look at what she missed before. Davis instantly knew that she missed him and responded more aggressively. It took them three seconds to share their love before their lips parted.

Niera separated from his embrace as she felt strange, ”Arenʼt both the same?”

Davis chuckled as he shook his head, ”If I become yours alone, wouldnʼt I be betraying my wives?”

Nieraʼs eyes slightly widened as she touched her lips, ”I see. Then... Iʼll become yours as you wish.”

Davis couldnʼt help but happily nod his head, ”Fortunately, I didnʼt see you n.a.k.e.d, so it seems I donʼt have to take responsibility?”

”You...! You canʼt be like this!” Niera panicked as she jumped and held him as if she wouldnʼt let him go easily. She gritted her teeth in shyness as her lips moved, ”You canʼt leave me. You have already kissed me...”

Kissed... Seen me n.a.k.e.d...

Davis couldnʼt feel that she was innocent as she could be, untainted by the world, but he had come to just to do that in a sense. A smile appeared on his lips while his eyes suddenly became calm.

”You are mine, Niera. If your parents do not accept our relationship, then I will have no choice but to offend them. Are you alright with it?”

”I...” Nieraʼs face became a bit pale as she shook her head, ”I will convince them. I love you all. I donʼt want anyone to fight.”

”But Niera... At least a dispute is inevitable. Back at the Alstreim Family, your family and mine already stood at odds once, and even though the issue is resolved, it isnʼt like we became friends. You wish for them to take them outside, but if I did, I would also be endangering my family. Being smart, you mustʼve already understood that the moment you fell in love with me, right?”

Niera lightly nodded.

”I do understand, but that was when I thought that there was no way out. So what if we were at odds? I chose to love you by my own will and took a step forward in wanting to clear the differences between our families in this place as I thought of living with you for the rest of our time, but it was out of my expectations that you would say that you know a way out.”

”But... It was too late. I already believed that you were mine...” Nieraʼs eyes turned moist as she shook her head, ”I canʼt go back...”

Davisʼs smile receded as he breathed an air of heaven and earth energy, ”Then how about you first come with me to the other side?”

”I canʼt... not without them...” Niera dejectedly shook her head, ”But if you leave me or betray me by lying to me all this time, I donʼt know what I will do...”

ʼThatʼs my line...ʼ Davis became flabbergasted before his smile returned as he shook his head.

”Fine, because of you, Iʼll try to take them with me on the first trip, but! It is only limited to your father and mother. Your grandfather is too powerful for me to handle...”

ʼBecause the only way I can handle him is to kill him...ʼ Davis inwardly mused but ended his line as he tried to convince her.

Niera looked extremely hesitant, but she also understood that Davis was troubled by it if what he was saying was true. She wanted to believe him, but if he lied by any chance, she didnʼt want her parents to become sacrifices for her foolishness. Her decision and the risk involved were hers to bear alone.

Thinking like this, she suddenly felt that taking her father and mother alone wasnʼt a wise decision.

Niera stared at his sapphire eyes as her purple eyes became resolute, ”Fine, I will go with you to the other side alone...”

”Mhm?”

Davis felt like he couldnʼt believe his ears. She was quick to change her tune, but he believed that she had some reason for it. He smilingly shook his head, ”I know you want to believe me but canʼt. Thatʼs normal since I havenʼt done anything to make you believe me yet.”

Niera was quick to shake her head, ”I didnʼt mean to-”

Davis placed his fingers on her lips.

”I know how you feel... Donʼt worry as Iʼll take them along with you. If youʼre mine, theyʼre my father-in-law and mother-in-law as well...” Davis blinked, thinking that they were already his step-grandparents while Niera was his aunt. His stepmotherʼs little sister.

After all, Nora Alstreim was practically his fatherʼs woman. He didnʼt know what happened with them, but if anything didnʼt happen after almost a year, he would be damned.

Nieraʼs heart relaxed as she felt moved. Those words of his were convincing somehow that she nodded her head.

Davis couldnʼt help but deeply smile as he raised his head and looked at the door, ”How long are you going to keep listening, father-in-law Nero Alstreim?”

”Brat! Now youʼve done it!”

The door was pushed open suddenly, and a white-robed figure walked in with angry strides while Niera jumped in nervousness as she stood in front of Davis as stretched her hands as if barring his path.

”Father! I can explain!”

She made Nero Alstreim stop in his tracks while his expression looked as if he had eaten shit, bitter and aggrieved.

How could his daughter be like this, taking another strange manʼs side? However, it quickly dawned on him.

Niera had grown up...

His expression increasingly trembled as just a while ago, he was seeing her as a little girl who should be protected. Even while teasing her or looking at her be heartbroken, he didnʼt realize, but when he now saw her standing up for a man like she wouldnʼt allow him to get past her, he took a deep breath and accepted that she finally grew up.

He raised his head and stared at the brat, who had a pleasant smile on his face that would attract and charm many womenʼs eyes.

”Speak! What is this talk about taking us to the other side?” Nero Alstreim narrowed his eyes as his expression became solemn, ”Donʼt tell you spouted all this nonsense to deceive my innocent daughter because if you did... I will never forgive you...!”

He clenched his fists as flames began to vaguely conjure out from his pores.

Davisʼs smile became more arrogant as his lips moved, ”Obviously, Iʼm talking about leaving this sealed space...”

Nero Alstreimʼs heart skipped a beat while the flames that were about to come out disappeared. His lips trembled as he couldnʼt help but blurt out.

”What!?”
