The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 317: It’s nice to meet you little brother

Once they did that and without giving the group of disguised demons time to think, a barrage of arrows of fire and rock was fired at them.

The group, because of the light, did not see it coming and were hit. The man whose defense was broken suffered serious injuries immediately and was knocked out.

”Ugh! They’re using magic! Well it doesn’t matter anymore!”

The rest seemed to also have defensive methods or protective armor, they withstood the first impacts of the magic long enough to put up defenses the two women were mages and put up defenses to blquer the rest of the jussto attack before their defensive artifacts were broken.

They both realized that there was no need to hold back, if the magic was already in use, it was only a matter of time before they were surrounded, unaware that they were under Willian’s artifact, the remaining group of demons thought they had to act fast.

It was true that they had been caught by surprise and had lost one of their group and the important artifact that would activate and initiate their plan, but still, even as experienced agents, they were confident that they could take control of the situation.

But another thing that William’s group learned was not to let the enemy breathe if they were in control, each one already had their assigned task. Just as the rain of arrows ended and the barriers had barely held.

Tharen, Ivan and Willian also covered in golden light were already moving from three different directions to the remaining group of three demons, who still presented a human form except for the fainted one on the ground whose disguise was destroyed giving him the assurance that what they were doing was the right thing to do.

Tharen, especially, was already on his way, and right above them wielding a giant warhammer made of rock and making a heavy downward swing towards the duo.

”Ironquake!”

He used his art and executed a blow that impacted squarely against the barrier, shattering it with a brutal blast.

But the demons had already understood that holding back was useless. The male demon had extended his senses and understood the environment perfectly.

The instant the barrier broke, he grabbed the two female demons and pulled them away, as they were Tharen’s direct target.

BOOM!

The male demon put his hand still in the path of the hammer and received the full impact.

The shock was so strong that it sent Tharen backwards. After all, he was the weakest of the group and had only recently advanced to the fourth metamorphosis.

Meanwhile, Ivan and Willian were already on the move to attack them from opposite directions putting the demons in a bit of a standoff that didn’t last long.

”Let’s get rid of the brightest one first!”

They couldn’t look directly at it, but they weren’t novices. With their senses they knew William’s direction and actions perfectly well, even without needing to see him.

That glow he emitted only served as a good distractor at first; now he was only a minor annoyance.

So, both the women, who began to conjure offensive spells, and the demon in front of her, turned their attention to Willian.

The reason being that he was faster, more annoying, and they had information that he was that they recognized him was someone important among the younger generation, being second priority after Miss Silvercrest.

Besides, between someone who wielded a sword and another who only carried a shield, it was clear who posed the greater danger so the three turned their attention to Willian, but.

”Hey, that won’t happen! Iron Reverb!”

Ivan, noticing that they were ignoring him, shouted in the direction of the trio and used his ability as they had planned all along.

Suddenly, both the attack of the two mages flying towards William, and the attention of the male demon prioritizing him and waiting to counterattack, redirected towards Ivan, who was already waiting for them with his defensive art activated.

That gave William just the opening he needed. The trio was completely helpless before him and bewildered by the sudden change in the situation.

”Art of Luminblade, Fourth Stance: Lumen Fang!”

He shouted loudly the full name of his attack technique surrounding his also rock sword with a golden light.

And following a recommendation from Chris, he added the number to intensify the power of the strike.

Although everyone in the group was skeptical about whether that would actually work - and even when they did it, it didn’t seem to change anything and just seemed silly.

But only Willian really felt a big difference worth the loss of the time it took to say it and now he also used it often when he wanted to bring out his full power.

He put all his soul, all his will to protect his friends in that single, decisive and most powerful blow.

BOOMM!!

The light was so intense that, upon impact, a gigantic explosion resounded, and a flash so powerful that it illuminated even the sky for a brief moment, attracting the attention of all those in the vicinity.

..

.

Willian’s earthen sword disintegrated as it finished its work and finally, the dust settled, and from there the silhouette of one seemed to be still standing, unfortunately it was only that.

In fact, the female mages had collapsed, they seemed to have put up magical defenses at the last moment, but even so it was not enough because they were pierced causing the mages who had relatively weaker bodies to lose consciousness due to the impact.

The man was also in front of Willian’s attack. He tried to stop it when the attack overcame the magical defenses, but because he was unarmed, he lost an arm and had a chest wound.

He was conscious and breathing heavily, and it seems that the artifacts they had to disguise themselves had been destroyed because you could see the true appearance of all of them.

All four were still alive... but they had basically lost.

”Cough! Damn it! Why are kids getting into these matters? Cough! Even so it’s no use hahahah~ still our plan is inevitable...”(demon)

”...” (Everyone)

None of them understood why the demon suddenly burst out laughing. it seemed that the situation was not over.

Especially William felt that the feeling of Crisis had only intensified, he did not understand what he had done wrong, had the artifact and that should frustrate, the plans and they should not have problems, thus fulfilling the oracle given ...

”What’s going on here?” (Dante).

Suddenly, two people appeared: a man with platinum white hair and sky blue eyes, who acted serious and had a noble and domineering aura ... if it wasn’t because one of his eyes had a bruise.

”They’re demons, and those are academy students, right? Guys, can you explain? We’re from the Silvercrest Duchy.” (Leonora)

The other was a woman with an elegant dress and flame red hair. Seeing them, the boys thought they were reinforcements... and the reason the demon was laughing.

They became alert, except William who finally felt the Crisis sensation fade away instead of continuing to grow, in fact the sensation was so clear that his body was relieved and he lost all attention, and when he heard who they were he understood why.

He for various reasons and ’coincidences’ had met with the royal family, and had heard about this family and what it represented for the kingdom and at this time was the best possible reinforcement.

He was going to explain the situation but it wasn’t even necessary because the demon kept talking:

”Cough! I see that more have arrived... even so, it’s only a matter of time. The bombs are already in place. When our superiors arrive, they have their own switches. Their downfall is inevitable. They will not be able to get information out of me...hahaah!! for the sake of the kingdom! Ulthez-”(demon)

”hey, but there, no self detonations or suicides there, you know you sounded pretty generic there, but no I really can’t judge you I understand that about giving your life for what you believe in”(???).

”y-you w-w-....”(demon).

”Yeah, you won’t be able to move your mana, no way, you said enough, haaa~ ... and I thought I didn’t have to do anything. but thanks to you being very clear I had to show up, I don’t understand the need for you to say your plan in advance”(???)

”...”(demon)

”I mean, wouldn’t it be better to leave us with the uncertainty....I think just laughing as if you had won had made your point clear, or is it just me that thinks so?”(???)

Suddenly, and without warning, just as the duke couple was about to incapacitate the demon, someone appeared behind him and held him by the neck, preventing him from continuing to speak and having a one-sided talk that no one understood.

They were puzzled as this new presence, besides being dressed completely in black... was the spitting image of Willian!

This confused everyone for a moment, and even the pair of dukes looked alternately between the two, but it did not seem to be a situation where they had time to be stunned.

The dukes knew they had to act to interrogate this demon quickly but still they hesitated.

”Hold it right there everyone! if you don’t want everything to explode, don’t move! as you’ll see, I’m on your side, I’m William’s long lost twin brother” (???).

”eh!!!”(Will)

”yes, it’s nice to meet you little brother” (???)

”m-my brother, I have a brother?” (Will)

”yeah we were separated at birth and.... well it’s a long story, just don’t attack me I’ll get the information out of this demon, Animae Scrutinium.” . (???)
