Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1850 - 0179: The Effort to Win Over a Girl 1

After receiving Su Xiuʼerʼs call, Chu Mo quickly left the club and, upon seeing the four of them, asked curiously, ”Why arenʼt you going inside?”

”After all, Xiao Yue is a man; it wouldnʼt be appropriate for him to go in,” Su Xiuʼer explained. ”Moreover, we came to see you today because we want to go out and have some fun together.”

”Great! Where do you want to go?” Chu Mo agreed readily. Although she was reluctant to leave the gym she had worked so hard to establish, she valued spending time with her close friends even more. After marrying into the Zhang family, she might never have the chance to do such things again.

The four girls looked at Wang Yue.

Needless to say, the three Su sisters had been confined to practicing at home for the past three years, only allowed to go out for three days each month. Chu Mo was similar; since opening her gym, she had spent nearly all her time there. It was no exaggeration to call them homebodies, so they had little idea about where fun places might be.

However, since they were all homebodies—and so was Wang Yue—he had spent even more time indoors than they had. Even if he had known about some places in his previous life, he had probably forgotten most of them by now.

But, of course, men often canʼt show weakness. So, Wang Yue simply said, ”Get in the car; Iʼll take you there.”

The four girls didnʼt doubt him, especially the three Su sisters. They had told Wang Yue the previous night to research how to pursue girls, so he must have already come up with a plan.

What they didnʼt know was that Wang Yue had indeed spent the night studying—not about how to pursue girls, but about how to take things further after successfully winning over a girl, in collaboration with his aunt.

Once in the car, Wang Yue was distracted, driving while using his communication device to quickly look for suitable places nearby.

Soon, he parked the car in a parking lot outside an arcade.

”An arcade… I guess only boys would like this place,” Su Jinʼer said with a frown.

But Su Jiaojiao was excited: ”Not necessarily! I like it too. Letʼs go in!”

”What do you think, Mo Mo?” Su Xiuʼer asked.

Chu Mo nodded. ”I want to relax too.”

Su Jinʼer and Su Xiuʼer immediately understood that Wang Yue must have thought of Chu Moʼs recent low mood and brought her here to help her vent her emotions. They secretly gave Wang Yue a thumbs up.

Arcsades in this era were nothing like those from hundreds of years ago. Nowadays, people played virtual games controlled by brainwaves, providing an experience similar to real combat without any danger, even allowing ordinary people to experience fighting against fierce creatures.

After entering, the five of them chose a game where players took on the role of heroes, attacking the demon territory and ultimately killing the demon king to claim the treasure.

The gameʼs mechanics were simple and traditional, but the realism was undeniable. Once the brainwaves were connected, the five of them felt as if they were truly inside the game. The only difference was that everyone started with the same attributes, regardless of their real-life skills.

”Since the game isnʼt very challenging, how about we have a competition? The three of us can form one group, and Mo Mo and Xiao Yue can form another. Letʼs see who can reach the deepest part of the demon castle first,” Su Xiuʼer suggested.

”Why us two against you three? Thatʼs not fair,” Chu Mo protested.

Su Xiuʼer laughed. ”Itʼs only fair that way. Jinʼer and I canʼt be separated, so we count as one group—the strongest. Xiao Yue is a martial arts genius, so even if we start with the same attributes, he still has an advantage in combat games. And Mo Mo has more experience than Jiaojiao, so she can be the third. That way, the first and fourth, and the second and third groups are evenly matched.”

”That makes sense. Alright, letʼs do it that way,” Chu Mo agreed. It was just a little game among friends; there was no need to take it too seriously. Whoever won or lost didnʼt matter as long as they had fun.

So, the five of them split into two groups and attacked the demon territory from different sides.

Perhaps because she had been under too much stress, Chu Mo adopted a reckless approach once inside the territory, focusing solely on charging forward without any strategy or concern for her own safety. Maybe she needed to vent her frustration and resentment in this way.

Wang Yue had no choice but to act as a kind of ”bodyguard,” helping Chu Mo defeat the demons while also ensuring their safety. Fortunately, his improved skills gave him an advantage in such a game, and the two of them managed to make their way to the deepest part of the territory and reach the castle first.

Although it was just a game, and dying to a demon wouldnʼt mean anything real, Wang Yueʼs care throughout the process deeply touched Chu Moʼs heart.

Although her family had a prestigious martial arts background on both sides, her mother had been weak since childhood and could not practice martial arts. Despite being beautiful, she was merely seen as a tool for marriage alliances within the family.

Her father wasnʼt any better either; he kept many women in the family, and there were many more outside. He had a whole bunch of illegitimate children, and as the so-called legitimate daughter, she wasnʼt given any importance at home. In fact, just like her mother, she was treated as a tool for arranging marriages.

So, from a young age on, aside from her mother, she never experienced the warmth of a family. Fortunately, she was naturally optimistic and managed to start her own business. Otherwise, she might have ended up in a very difficult situation.

But even the most optimistic and strong-willed woman needs a man to care for and protect her. And precisely because she had never had such care, it became all the more precious to her.

Yesterday, when she told the Su sisters that Wang Yue was good-looking and innocent-hearted, she was just joking. But now, she actually felt a bit attracted to him.

Itʼs a pity, though, that he was still a child and already had a fiancée, and she, too, was arranged by her family. There was no way their paths could cross.

Thinking about this, Chu Mo couldnʼt help but sigh inwardly.

Before long, the three Su sisters also arrived, and there was no doubt about what would happen next in the game.

After coming out of the virtual cabin, Su Jin-er and Su Xiu-er noticed that Chu Mo wasnʼt any happier; on the contrary, she seemed even more melancholic than before. They exchanged looks with Wang Yue, asking him what was going on.

Wang Yue shrugged helplessly. He had no idea what was happening—after all, he was experienced at certain things, but he had no idea how to pursue women.

In bed, he knew how to manipulate a womanʼs emotions perfectly: when to speed up, when to slow down, when to be gentle, and when to be intense, so as to bring her to the perfect climax. But in everyday life, he had no idea how to make women happy, how to pursue them, or how to understand their thoughts.

Since Wang Yue couldnʼt figure it out, Su Jin-er and Su Xiu-er decided to observe for themselves and chose another game.

This game was similar to one called ”League of Legends” that had been around hundreds of years ago. It involved fighting against other players.

Since there were exactly five of them, they decided to play a five-versus-five match.

This time, Wang Yue continued to play the role of the ”warm guy.” He chose the support class and helped the four women throughout the game, which really warmed everyoneʼs hearts.

After all, women really do understand other women. After that game, except for the carefree Su Jiao-jiao who had a great time, Su Jin-er and Su Xiu-er both understood why Chu Mo was even more melancholic.
