Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1831 - 160: The Peerless Black Widow 2

As soon as he thought this, Wang Yue quickly spat on himself in his mind: ”Tch! What kind of lecherous devil am I? Definitely not!”

However, he still had great doubts about the owner of this restaurant.

Being lustful wasnʼt necessarily a bad thing, but it all depended on whom one lusted after. If the owner of this restaurant had any bad intentions towards Li Yingying, then Young Master Wang would absolutely not tolerate it.

So he asked again, ”Whereʼs your boss? I donʼt see him here. Doesnʼt he usually come here?”

The waiter replied, ”Our boss lives here, but he really doesnʼt come out often. Even we employees rarely get to see him. However, a new part-time worker girl is often called in to talk to him.”

Wang Yueʼs heart suddenly skipped a beat, and he blurted out, ”Li Yingying?”

”Huh? You know Yingying?” the waiter asked, somewhat surprised.

Wang Yue was now almost certain that the owner of this restaurant had some ulterior motives regarding Li Yingying, so his tone became less polite. ”I want to see your boss!”

”Um…” the waiter hesitated. ”I donʼt have that authority. At most, I can try to ask for you.”

”Then go ask,” Wang Yue said, waving his hand.

Before the waiter could go, another waiter at the back of the restaurant suddenly called out, ”That young man over there, our boss would like you to come inside and talk.”

Wang Yue stood up and walked quickly towards the back of the restaurant. There was a corridor about seven or eight meters long, with doors on both sides and at the end.

The door on the left led to the food preparation area, clearly the kitchen, while the door on the right had a sign indicating a bathroom. The restaurant owner surely couldnʼt be inside either of those doors.

So Wang Yue walked straight to the end of the corridor and pushed the door open—since the person inside wasnʼt likely to be anything good, he saw no need to be polite.

”Little guy, itʼs really impolite to just barge in like that,” a soft and seductive voice said as soon as he entered.

Looking closely, he saw that it was a room decorated like a living room. On the sofa facing the door, a woman was sitting there, watching Wang Yue with great interest.

She was a very beautiful woman. In terms of appearance, she was no less impressive than the ”Four Great Beauties” or the ”Twelve Beauties of the Jin Dynasty”; in fact, she even surpassed most of them. By Wang Yueʼs standards, she was at least 95 points out of 100—good enough to compete with his two aunts.

More importantly, this woman was clearly dressed in a very conservative black dress, with no skin exposed except for her face and hands. Under that loose black garment, it was impossible to tell what her figure was like.

Yet, the first thing that came to Wang Yueʼs mind when he saw her was ”sexuality”; even his lower body began to feel restless.

In short, she was a very alluring woman. Despite her unsexy attire, she somehow seemed even more tempting than those beauties who were completely naked.

Moreover, Wang Yue could tell that this woman was a martial artist. Although he couldnʼt determine her level of skill, it was clear she was not weak.

Wang Yue became cautiously alert and asked her, ”Who are you?”

The woman smiled slightly and said, ”Arenʼt you here to see me? Why are you asking who I am?”

”You... youʼre the owner of this place?!” Wang Yue was stunned on the spot.

That was really awkward.

He had assumed that the owner of this place was some lecher who had hired Li Yingying because of her beauty, and he had come with the intention of giving her a lesson.

But he never expected that this ”lecher” would actually be a stunning beauty whose beauty, maturity, and allure far surpassed Li Yingyingʼs.

”You were so eager to see me and even came here in such a aggressive manner... It must be because of Yingying, right? Are you afraid that I might do something to her?” the woman said, looking at Wang Yue with a half-smile.

Wang Yueʼs heart skipped a beat again. It seemed as if this woman could read his thoughts.

This made him see her not just as beautiful and alluring, but also as dangerous.

Actually, if that were all, Wang Yue wouldnʼt have felt so overwhelmed. After all, he had his own strength, and strength gave him confidence.

However, he had misjudged her identity from the very beginning.

By coming here in such an aggressive manner, he had put himself in an awkward position, which naturally weakened his stance.

So at this moment, he was at a disadvantage and in a passive position.

”Since youʼre here, why stand around? Sit down and letʼs talk,” the woman said, without pressing him further. She gestured toward the sofa on the side and invited him to sit down.

After he did so, she asked, ”Are you Yingyingʼs boyfriend?”

Wang Yue shook his head. ”No, weʼre just ordinary friends, with a certain kind of relationship.”

He didnʼt mean it irresponsibly. Although there had been some ambiguous moments between him and Li Yingying the previous day, neither of them had made any formal declarations.

As a person with principles, Wang Yue wouldnʼt create a situation that was not clear-cut yet.

”Good that you said so. If you were her boyfriend, you wouldnʼt be able to leave here today,” the woman said, still smiling, but her words were chilling.

”What do you mean?” Wang Yue asked, wondering if this woman was somehow aware of his dual cultivation abilities and if she knew about his relationship with Li Yingying.

”Wang Yue, the young master of the Wang family, one of the three major martial arts families in Jinling, and the only surviving male in those three families. You have great talent in cultivation; at the age of fifteen, you had already reached the fifth level of the Qi Refining realm. Moreover, you are already engaged to Chen Xi from the Chen family,” the woman listed Wang Yueʼs information as if she knew it all.

”With an engagement already in place, and yet you still pursue Yingying... Do you think I would let you off?”

Hearing this, Wang Yue actually felt relieved. At least she wasnʼt omnipotent; she didnʼt even know about his dual cultivation abilities, and her knowledge of him seemed to be based on events that had happened just over half a month ago.

”It seems you care a lot about Yingying,” Wang Yue said, feeling more at ease.

”You still havenʼt told me what your relationship with Yingying really is,” the woman insisted.

”Yingyingʼs older sister, Li Menglan, is my personal maid,” Wang Yue replied truthfully. There was nothing to hide about that.

”So thereʼs that connection,” the woman said, understandingly nodding. ”It seems you were also the one who resolved the problems involving the Li family.”

”You knew about that?” Wang Yue asked.

”The course of events,” the woman replied. ”If you had acted one day later, not a single person from the Crocodile Gang would be alive today.”

She said this with such calmness, as if the hundreds of people in the Crocodile Gang were nothing but ants to her. Even if she had to kill them, it wouldnʼt cause her any emotional disturbance.

This made Wang Yue realize that this woman was no ordinary person. So he asked, ”May I know your name, and why do you care so much about Yingying?”

”You can call me Yu Yan,” the woman said. ”As for Yingying, since you have this kind of relationship with her, it doesnʼt matter to tell you. I have taken a liking to her character and want to take her as my disciple, so that she can inherit my skills.”

”That would be great fortune for Yingying,” Wang Yue said.

”Indeed,” Yu Yan replied without any modesty.

”As long as she studies with me, even if her talent isnʼt as good as yours, I guarantee she will surpass you within a year. So I hope you wonʼt treat her with the arrogance of a martial artist, nor will you have any improper thoughts about her. Her future achievements will far surpass those of the three major families in Jinling.”

Wang Yue was taken aback. This woman really had an extraordinary confidence!
