Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1832 - 161: The Peerless Black Widow 3

After countless years of trials in his previous life, Wang Yue no longer possessed the arrogance that most young people have, but his determination was undiminished.

He smiled and said, ”I will keep in mind what you have said, sir. However, emotions are something that cannot be controlled. What if one day, Yingying develops feelings for me? There would be nothing I could do about it, wouldnʼt there?”

”Donʼt worry, such a thing will never happen,” Yu Yan said with confidence, waving her hand. ”You may leave now.”

”Thank you, sir,” Wang Yue said, bowing before turning to leave.

”Remember, no one else must know about our conversation today, and certainly not anyone about Yingying learning martial arts from me. Otherwise, it could not only harm her but also involve your three prominent families in Jinling,” Yu Yan called out from behind him.

Wang Yue stopped in his tracks and nodded before continuing on his way.

Although he was very curious about Yu Yanʼs true identity, he knew she would never tell him, so he decided not to bother asking.

Back in the restaurant outside, Wang Yue did not leave but found a spot to sit down and began to meditate on martial techniques.

Unfortunately, due to Yu Yanʼs presence, it was difficult for him to truly calm his mind, and so he failed to achieve any breakthroughs throughout the morning.

...

Li Yingying was in a poor state today. Despite trying her best to concentrate, she barely paid attention during the entire morningʼs classes. The reason was that she had not slept well all night.

Whenever she closed her eyes, Wang Yueʼs face, which was almost more handsome than that of a woman, would appear in her mind, and her body would continue to recall the moments they had shared on the bus.

For a girl, desire can be a double-edged sword. If she already has a good impression of you and you are able to arouse her sexual desire and even satisfy it, then her feelings for you will surely grow rapidly.

But if she doesnʼt have any feelings for you, trying to provoke her will only cause her to dislike you and completely ruin any chance of winning her over.

Li Yingying fell into the former category. She already had a considerable fondness for Wang Yue, and after what happened on the bus yesterday, the small sprout of affection that she had hidden in her heart had grown uncontrollably into a towering tree, occupying her entire being.

The more this was the case, the more anxious she became about whether she could be with him regardless of social status. She even envied her sister—how wonderful it would be if she could become his personal maid!

Although she was in a daze throughout the morning, she rushed to the restaurant as soon as the lunch break began. She was truly grateful to the owner, Yu Yan, for not only providing her with a part-time job but also treating her very kindly.

Like her mother, Li Yingying was a person who knew how to be thankful, so she worked very hard in the restaurant, never wasting a single moment.

Being the first to arrive, Li Yingying immediately saw Wang Yue sitting inside, smiling at her.

At that moment, she was overjoyed. He had said he would come to see her again yesterday, and she had been both excited and skeptical—what kind of person was he that he would waste so much time on a young girl like her?

But to her surprise, he had actually come, and it seemed he had been waiting there for some time.

Overwhelmed with joy, Li Yingying walked towards him, but then she suddenly remembered what had happened on the bus yesterday. A wave of shame made her slow down and almost stop.

Wang Yue stood up and walked over to her, saying with a smile, ”Yingying.”

”You... why did you come?” Li Yingying asked, her face turning red.

”I came to see you, didnʼt I say that yesterday?” Wang Yue replied.

The mention of yesterday sent Li Yingyingʼs mind into chaos, and she blurted out, ”Letʼs not talk about what happened yesterday.”

”Are you still angry about it? I really didnʼt mean to do it,” Wang Yue said sincerely.

”Iʼm not... not angry. I just... I just donʼt know how to face you, Wang Yue. Could you please give me some time?” Li Yingying stammered before finally saying.

Time?

Wang Yue was momentarily puzzled, realizing that Li Yingying must have misunderstood something. But telling her the truth would probably shock her greatly.

Moreover, he felt a certain fondness for her, so perhaps it would be better to let this beautiful misunderstanding continue and eventually become reality.

”Ah?” Li Yingying exclaimed in surprise. ”You… you are a martial artist?”

Judging by her appearance, Yu Yan didnʼt seem to be in her thirties at all. Li Yingying had even thought that that was her actual age, but now, after what she had just said, Li Yingying realized that the boss must have somehow frozen her age.

And only martial artists were capable of doing something like that.

”Thatʼs right, I am indeed a martial artist,” Yu Yan said with a nod. ”And you… do you want to become one too?”

”Can I do it too?” Li Yingyingʼs heart began to beat wildly. If she became a warrior herself, wouldnʼt that mean she could get closer to Wang Yue?

Yu Yan had no idea that Li Yingying wanted to become a warrior precisely because of Wang Yue.

Seeing her eager expression, Yu Yan took the opportunity to say, ”As long as you take me as your master and inherit my skills, you will not only become a warrior but also a top-tier warrior who commands respect from the vast majority of others.”

”Take you as my master?” Li Yingying could hardly believe her ears. She said in a dazed voice, ”Can I really do that?”

”Of course. Over the years, Iʼve traveled to many places, but only you meet my requirements,” Yu Yan replied.

Seeing that Li Yingying still didnʼt understand, Yu Yan explained further, ”You are self-reliant and refuse to bow to reality. You donʼt even consider relying on the wealthy. Such qualities are truly rare.”
