Chapter 1055: Chapter 1055: Ye Fei’s Ruthlessness

But before Zhang Xi could even finish dreaming about his perfect scenario, Gu Xuehan, the girl he hadn’t even had a chance to touch, was suddenly embraced by another man, who dared to place his hand on such a sensitive spot.

How could Zhang Xi, who was used to getting his way, just stand by and let this happen?

No matter how close Ye Fei and Ye Zhilin were, or how mysterious Ye Zhilin seemed, Zhang Xi was done holding back.

”Kid, let her go!” Zhang Xi roared, gathering all his internal energy. His fingers formed a claw as he lunged at Ye Fei’s nape. He wasn’t just trying to separate Ye Fei from Gu Xuehan; he wanted Ye Fei dead.

With his right arm still wrapped around Gu Xuehan, Ye Fei’s left arm shot backward like lightning, blocking Zhang Xi’s right arm.

”Snap!” With a crisp sound, Zhang Xi’s outstretched right arm twisted at an unnatural angle. The intense pain was so overwhelming that even a Great Ascension stage expert like him couldn’t help but want to scream in agony.

But before he could make a sound, Ye Fei’s left hand, which had just shattered Zhang Xi’s arm, reached out again. Just like Zhang Xi had done moments earlier, Ye Fei’s fingers formed a claw, and he clamped down hard on Zhang Xi’s neck, forcing the scream back down his throat.

No one had seen this coming. They had anticipated Zhang Xi’s attack, but no one expected Ye Fei’s counterattack to be so ruthless. Zhang Xi was a Great Ascension stage master, yet he couldn’t even block a single move from Ye Fei.

How could this kid, who had only talked the talk at the martial arts convention and left the fighting to Ye Zhilin, be so formidable?

Among the onlookers, the Supreme Elder was the strongest and closest to Zhang Xi. He was the first to react, wanting to rush forward to help, but he hesitated, fearing collateral damage. Instead, he shouted, ”Kid, do you dare?”

At that moment, Zhang Xi felt Ye Fei’s grip on his neck loosen slightly. Thinking that Ye Fei was finally intimidated by the Supreme Elder, he forced out a hoarse, strained voice: ”Kid, let me go, or my master won’t spare you!”

”Your master? You mean that old guy? Isn’t he your dad?” Ye Fei glanced at Zhang Xi, whose neck he still had in his grasp. He hadn’t eased up because he feared the Supreme Elder; he just didn’t want to kill Zhang Xi yet. How this guy died was up to Gu Xuehan to decide.

After speaking, Ye Fei shifted his gaze to the Supreme Elder, whose hair and beard were standing on end, and clicked his tongue disapprovingly.

”So, you’re the Supreme Elder, huh? You have no taste, giving your son a name like ’Xi.’ If he ever tries to claim his heritage, won’t he end up being called ’sugar paste’?”

”You...” The Supreme Elder was even angrier, but with Zhang Xi in Ye Fei’s clutches, he didn’t dare make a move. Moreover, he didn’t dispute Ye Fei’s claim.

For a moment, everyone’s eyes turned to the Supreme Elder with a strange mix of curiosity and suspicion.

The Tang Sect members, in particular, had long suspected Zhang Xi’s origins but had never dared to voice their thoughts. After all, the Supreme Elder was nearly 150 years old, while Zhang Xi was only in his thirties. It wasn’t exactly a flattering situation for an old man to still be involved in romantic entanglements, let alone fathering children.

And with the Supreme Elder’s domineering personality, no one wanted to risk his wrath.

Now, seeing the Supreme Elder’s reaction, everyone’s suspicions were confirmed. It made sense. The reclusive elders of the Tang Sect might stay out of worldly affairs, but they weren’t pushovers. If Zhang Xi were truly an outsider, they wouldn’t have let him become the heir apparent.

Otherwise, once he took over as the head of the sect, the Tang Sect would essentially become the Zhang Sect.

Ignoring the murmurs of the crowd, Ye Fei kept one hand on Zhang Xi’s neck while slowly releasing Gu Xuehan with the other. ”Xiao Han, this jerk dared to force you into marriage. How do you want him to die?”

”I was planning to use these grenades to take him down with me, but things changed halfway. Luckily, you were here,” Gu Xuehan replied. Although she was Wen Suqin’s daughter, her personality was the complete opposite of her mother’s.

She was more similar to Ye Fei’s godmother and god-sister, the mother-daughter duo.

The only difference was that Wen Suqin was even more timid and indecisive than Ye Fei’s godmother, Su Yuhuan.

”Foolish girl, how could you even think that way? This jerk’s life isn’t worth comparing to yours. You’re my wife, Ye Fei’s wife. A thousand Zhang Xis wouldn’t be worth as much as your life. You can’t undervalue yourself like that anymore, okay?”

Ye Fei affectionately flicked Gu Xuehan’s nose with his finger, then continued, ”But I can help you fulfill your wish. Let this jerk taste what those grenades are like. Hand it over.”

”Okay,” Gu Xuehan agreed, handing the grenade she had been holding to Ye Fei.

Ye Fei took the grenade, turned to Zhang Xi, and his previously warm and smiling face turned cold as ice. ”Remember, be a good boy in your next life. It’ll do you good.” With that, he lifted his hand from Zhang Xi’s neck and grabbed his cheek.

As Ye Fei pinched his cheek, Zhang Xi’s mouth involuntarily opened wide. Without a moment’s hesitation, Ye Fei stuffed the grenade he had just taken from Gu Xuehan into Zhang Xi’s gaping mouth, pulled the pin, and then tossed him out of the hall like trash.

The Supreme Elder had assumed that Ye Fei would at least show him some respect, so although he was furious, he wasn’t overly worried. His delayed reaction cost him half a beat. It wasn’t until Ye Fei threw Zhang Xi out that he snapped back to reality. He roared in anger, not even bothering to confront Ye Fei. His body turned into a blur as he sped after Zhang Xi.

”Boom—” The Supreme Elder was fast, but he was still a half-beat late. Just as he caught up to Zhang Xi and grabbed him, the grenade exploded.

Zhang Xi was a Great Ascension stage expert, but he had only recently broken through. Even with his full protective energy, being hit by a grenade in the mouth was devastating.

Moreover, Ye Fei had already sealed his entire energy when he grabbed him.

With the explosion, Zhang Xi’s entire head was instantly blown into a cloud of blood mist. His upper body was also in tatters, with only his legs, held by the Supreme Elder, remaining somewhat intact.

Seeing this, everyone was both astonished by Ye Fei’s ruthlessness and secretly intimidated by the Supreme Elder’s power.

Despite being hit at such close range by the grenade, he was completely unscathed. His protective energy had even blocked the blood and debris, not a single speck sticking to him.
