Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 779: Breakfast for Three

As Xu Shuyun sat lost in thought, Ye Jing suddenly burst into her room, asking, ”Mom, have you seen Brother?”

Xu Shuyun, still unconsciously reliving the pleasures of the previous night, was startled by her daughterʼs sudden entrance. She instinctively tightened the blanket around herself, her face flushing red as she stammered, ”N-no, I havenʼt. He should be in his room.”

”I checked, and heʼs not there,” Ye Jing said, noticing her motherʼs flushed face. Concerned, she asked, ”Mom, are you okay? Did you catch a cold last night too?”

Seeing her daughter approach, Xu Shuyun quickly pulled the blanket over the bedsheet, hiding the incriminating evidence.

Even so, when Ye Jing reached the bed, she sniffed the air and asked, ”Mom, whatʼs that smell?”

”Uh…” Xu Shuyunʼs face turned even redder, but before she could come up with an explanation, Ye Feiʼs voice called from outside, saving her.

”Ye Jing, are you looking for me?”

Hearing Ye Feiʼs voice, Ye Jingʼs face lit up with joy. She quickly ran out, asking, ”Brother, where did you go so early in the morning?”

Xu Shuyun finally let out a sigh of relief. She hurriedly got out of bed, ignoring the lingering soreness, and quickly stripped the bedsheet, replacing it with a fresh one.

Downstairs in the living room, Ye Jing saw the brother she had been longing for and immediately leaped into his arms, wrapping herself around him like a koala.

She had completely forgotten the incident where he had accidentally bumped into her before and asked again, ”Brother, where did you go so early?”

Perhaps the old Ye Fei would have been able to resist such temptation, but not anymore.

After experiencing the younger Yun Chuqing and having fully claimed Xu Shuyun the previous night, the sight of Ye Jingʼs tender body and the special charm she held due to her relationship with Xu Shuyun instantly aroused him.

Alarmed, he quickly took a step back, carrying Ye Jing to the couch and sitting her on his lap before answering, ”I went out for a run earlier.”

Since she hadnʼt been bumped this time, Ye Jing didnʼt notice Ye Feiʼs reaction. She pouted, unconvinced, ”Liar! Your shoes are still by the door!” She glanced outside and added, ”And itʼs still raining. Youʼre not even wet.”

Ye Fei chuckled inwardly. The girlʼs observational skills were impressive, no wonder she was so sure he hadnʼt left.

He smiled and said, ”Thatʼs why I wore slippers to run. As for why Iʼm not wet, donʼt you know I know martial arts?”

”I know martial arts too, but I still got wet and caught a cold yesterday,” Ye Jing replied. Like Yun Chuqing, she had learned some martial arts from Ye Yunqi, but her lively nature made her less patient, so she only practiced basic techniques and didnʼt cultivate internal energy.

”Thatʼs exactly what I wanted to talk to you about,” Ye Fei said seriously.

”Later, Iʼll teach you and your mom an internal energy technique. Once you learn it, you wonʼt get sick so easily.”

”Internal energy?” Ye Jingʼs face fell, and she asked pitifully, ”Do I have to?”

Ye Feiʼs expression turned stern.

”No. Do you know how dangerous it was last night? If I hadnʼt been nearby, you couldʼve gotten seriously ill from the rain.”

”Fine,” Ye Jing said, hearing the concern in Ye Feiʼs voice.

She agreed readily but added a condition, ”Then you have to promise to visit me often, even if I donʼt get sick.”

Ye Feiʼs heart stirred, once again feeling the depth of the girlʼs attachment to him. He had thought Ye Jing was just restless and didnʼt want to practice internal energy, but it turned out she wanted to get sick so he would come and stay with her.

Moved, he said, ”Donʼt worry, Iʼll visit often. Once my estate is ready, you and your mom can move in, and weʼll see each other every day. And practicing internal energy isnʼt just about staying healthy—itʼs also for self-defense.”

At that moment, Xu Shuyun came downstairs. Seeing Ye Fei and Ye Jing in their cozy position, a strange light flickered in her eyes, but she didnʼt say anything. Instead, she asked, ”What are you two talking about?”

Hearing her motherʼs voice, Ye Jing jumped off Ye Feiʼs lap and ran to Xu Shuyun, saying happily, ”Mom, Brother said heʼs going to teach us an internal energy technique!” But a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

This scene, unnoticed by Ye Fei, didnʼt escape Xu Shuyunʼs sharp eyes.

She sighed inwardly. Her daughter was at the age of budding romance, and she had already noticed Ye Jingʼs unusual attachment to Ye Fei a few days ago.

Seeing this now, she understood perfectly.

However, Xu Shuyun didnʼt say anything. Having been a teacher for over a decade, she knew that with rebellious teenagers, it was better to guide than to restrict. So, for now, she decided to let things unfold naturally.

”Thatʼs great. Itʼs still early, so Iʼll make some breakfast, and after we eat, he can teach us,” Xu Shuyun said with a smile, secretly giving Ye Fei a tender look.

That alluring glance made Ye Feiʼs heart race again. He quickly stood up and said, ”Iʼll help too. Two people can get it done faster.”

”Iʼll help as well! Three people are even faster!” Ye Jing chimed in, seemingly unwilling to leave Ye Feiʼs side for even a moment.

Little did she know, her attachment, while endearing, had also dashed Ye Feiʼs hopes of a morning kitchen rendezvous with Xu Shuyun.

With the three of them working together, breakfast was quickly prepared. They sat down together in the dining room.

While Ye Fei and Ye Jing didnʼt think much of it, Xu Shuyunʼs heart was filled with a sense of happiness. It had been a long time since the three of them had shared a meal like this, and she felt that this simple, warm happiness was even more comforting than the times when Ye Lingtian had been sane.

And all of this was thanks to the young man who had claimed her the night before.

After breakfast, with some time to spare, Ye Fei taught the two women the Xuan Yin Art technique and guided them through a cycle of energy circulation.

However, the effect was far from what true dual cultivation could achieve, making him regret not teaching Xu Shuyun the technique the night before.

Both women were new to the concept of internal energy and were very curious.

After Ye Fei stopped the energy circulation, Xu Shuyun was the first to ask, ”Ye Fei, is this the Liu familyʼs technique?”
