New Age Of Summoners

# Author’s birthday special chapter (5/5).

’What is happening to him?’

Even Master Elek was surprised at the groaning Ajax because he didn’t understand the reason behind Ajax’s pain.

’He will be okay.’

Nevertheless, he transmitted his voice to Nameless cultivator before thinking, ’Even if something happens to him, his master will protect him, right?’

Master Elek was not worried about Ajax’s master attacking them all of sudden because he knew that a powerful cultivator might have already understood what they were trying to do.

So, he maintained his cool as he waited for Ajax to stand.

’Damn it...at this rate, I am not going to make it.’

’Kid, you can do it. Just wait for it.’

Ajax continued to endure the pain which was spreading all over his body and he even thought to stop in the middle; however, he was stopped by the old voice in his head.

’Ding,

It is detected that the host is entering into a special state unknown to the system.

’Ding,

However, the system detected that the host can absorb the energies around him at an incredible speed.

Finally, after waiting for a few minutes, Ajax received a couple of system notifications that made Ajax heave a sigh of relief.

However, that doesn’t mean the pain disappeared completely.

Nevertheless, Ajax was satisfied with those two system notifications because finally, there was something he got in return for enduring such unbearable pain.

’Unknown to you?’

What surprised Ajax the most was the system didn’t know about his current special state.

’It looks like the system is not an omniscient being as I thought.’

Ajax thought in his head as he gritted his teeth because he could still feel the pain spreading all over his body.

’Ding,

In the host’s current state, he could absorb one unit of Cursed Energy for every minute.

Soon, Ajax got another system notification that made him temporarily forget the pain in his body.

’Excellent.’

Ajax became excited and continued to endure the pain as he started calculating how many hours it would take him to get one unit of Astral Energy.

For every minute, one unit of Cursed Energy would be accumulated. So, it would take 100 minutes to accumulate 100 units of Cursed Energy which could be converted into one unit of Astral Energy.

Compared to the speed of his clone, where he was able to accumulate one unit of Cursed Energy for every minute, it was way too good.

So, he continued rotating two cultivation techniques at the same time.

’However, why is he not attacking me?’

Another thing that surprised Ajax was Nameless cultivator was not attacking; instead, he was watching Ajax with a worried look on his face.

’Maybe, he was worried about not being able to consume me.’

Ajax was unable to guess that both Master Elek and Nameless cultivator was just testing him before sending him to a place where he could collect as much Astral Energy he wanted.

’I need to quickly absorb as much Cursed Energy as possible to weaken him.’

Ajax assumed that as long as he absorbed Cursed Energy from Nameless cultivator, he would gradually become weak.

Moreover, he already knew that Nameless cultivator was hard to kill as even the guild master was unable to kill.

’Swoosh’

While continuing what he was doing, Ajax’s eyes landed on the two corroded spirit beasts he chopped off their heads.

Surprisingly, those two spirit beast’s heads and the remaining portion of the bodies attached before returning to their peak state.

’What the hell? What is this Cursed Energy?’

After seeing that scene, Ajax started thinking about Cursed Energy.

’Cursed Energy and Astral Energy have the same origin but why was Cursed Energy so powerful?’

Ajax recalled everything he knew about Cursed Energy and Astral Energy as started to think about it.

’Ding,

Actually, both are equally powerful when you take the side effects into consideration.

All of a sudden, the system replied to him with something that made him think more; however, the system continued to explain more.

’Ding,

With the help of Astral Energy, a cultivator can practice soul techniques, improve his soul and live twice the years compared to the regular cultivators.

’Ding,

As for Cursed Energy, as the name implies, the cultivators who use it to cultivate would be cursed forever; however, with the side effects like half-corroding to full-corroding. Moreover, they will affect others. So, they can’t live with other cultivators.

’Hmm..that’s right!’

Ajax nodded his head as he agreed with the system and thought, ’Both energies have their own advantages.’

So what if a cultivator can live forever? He should wander the world with his corroded bodies and kill everyone that comes near to him.

’Ding,

+1 unit of Cursed Energy received from the host’s shadow clone.

’Ding,

+5 units of Cursed Energy gained by the host’s special state.

’Ding,

          +1 unit

’Ding,

          +5 units

.

.

For every five minutes, Ajax continued to get the system notifications regarding the accumulation of Cursed Energy.

Before he knew about it, he got 0.40 percent of Cursed Energy.

’Damn it, it’s been more than 30 minutes, I can’t take it anymore.’

Ajax felt completely tired due to the bone-cracking pain.

If not for the system notifications, Ajax would have already stopped it long back even if the old voice’s continue to motivate.

’I will stop for now and continue after some time.’

Finally, after enduring for more than 30 minutes of unbreakable pain, Ajax stopped circulating the Mysterious spirit cultivation technique.

’Thud’

As soon as he stopped circulating it, Ajax fell to the ground; however, he tried his best to stay conscious because he was still in danger because Nameless cultivator might devour him any time.

’Phew’

The moment Ajax fell to the ground, Master Elek hurriedly probed Ajax’s health condition and once he felt everything was alright, he heaved a sigh of relief.

’Didn’t I say he will be alright?’

Soon, Master Elek transmitted his voice to Nameless cultivator.

”Haha...finally, I am out.”

Just as Nameless cultivator nodded his head, a loud voice resounded in the cave.
