New Age Of Summoners

# Author’s birthday special chapter (4/5).

’Thud’

The remaining body of the lion-like spirit beast fell to the ground as Ajax lightly landed on the ground.

In his hand, there was the inheritance sword.

Since he was unable to kill the corroded beings by injuring them multiple times, Ajax wanted to kill them in a single attack. So, they would not be able to heal once again.

’Move’

’Swoosh’

Ajax didn’t even bother to look at the fallen lion-like spirit beast as he took the help of the first effect of the lightning cloud steps to move three times faster than his original speed.

This time, he chose a snake-like spirit beast that was between Ajax and Nameless cultivator.

’As long as I kill it, I can surprise him with my next move.’

When he ordered his shadow form, Ajax already had a plan in his mind. So far, the plan was good and he was hoping it would succeed.

’Ding,

+1 unit of Cursed Energy transferred from the host’s shadow clone.

’Nice. It’s been only five minutes since he started absorbing Cursed Energy from Nameless cultivator. If I can tame Nameless cultivators, I can get 12 units of Cursed Energy for every hour which means it will take a little more than 8 hours to get a single unit of Astral Energy. Good.’

With the sudden system notification, Ajax quickly calculated the number of units he would get per hour and other things.

After his rough calculations, Ajax became even more excited as he tightened his grip around the inheritance sword’s hilt.

’Mountain Splitting Sword technique’

Just when the snake type spirit beast was about to swallow him as a whole, Ajax used the single sword technique he had in his arsenal to chop its head just like the lion type spirit beast that he killed a few moments ago.

’Teleport’

As soon as the line between him and Nameless cultivator got cleared, Ajax directly used the ’Teleport’ effect two times in a row and appeared a couple of meters away from Nameless cultivator.

”Keke...I am waiting for you, kid.”

However, what Ajax didn’t expect were those words and the eerie chuckle from Nameless cultivator.

”Then take it.”

Without hesitation, Ajax released two sword waves before throwing the sword behind them.

’Teleport’

As for Ajax, he disappeared from his place and appeared a couple of meters away from Nameless cultivator.

It was not that Ajax got scared to attack Nameless cultivator but it was Ajax’s plan to do what he did. Because the next step of the plan was about to start.

’Heaven and earth refining technique, circulate faster.’

’Mysterious spirit cultivation technique, you too.’

Without wasting any time, Ajax activated two techniques simultaneously.

Even though Ajax didn’t know what kind of effect they would have, he felt it would not be a bad one.

Moreover, he was very sure that the Heaven and earth refining technique would absorb the pure Cursed Energy at a faster rate.

’Ding,

It is detected that the host is activating two techniques, one refining and one mysterious. It might be dangerous for the host. Please think before making a decision.

However, unexpectedly, the system warned him about his decision.

’What?’

Ajax didn’t expect such a thing to happen and thought, ’What should I do now?’

There was not much time for Ajax because Nameless cultivator would react if he wasted any more time.

’Hey, Kid. My Mysterious spirit cultivation technique will do miracles. Just circulate it with other cultivation techniques.’

Just as Ajax was thinking what he had to do, he heard the familiar old man’s voice in his head.

’Okay.’

Even though he interacted very little with the old voice in his head compared to the system, Ajax had enough trust because that old voice came to his rescue many times even when the system gave up on him.

Moreover, he even motivated Ajax multiple times with his half-broken promises. So, without thinking much, Ajax blindly decided to follow the old voice’s suggestion.

’Aargh’

The moment he circulated two cultivation techniques at the same time, Ajax felt unbearable pain in his dantian.

’Thud’

Soon, Ajax started experiencing a great deal of pain in his dantian which started spreading to his entire body.

’Hey, old man. What the hell is happening to me?’

Ajax asked the old man while gritting his teeth.

’Just endure it and as long as you endure it, you can enjoy great rewards. Moreover, you will get the ability to absorb any type of energy into your body at an incredible speed.’

However, this time, the old voice in Ajax’s head didn’t disappear; instead, he tried his best in motivating Ajax to endure that pain.

’Okay’

Ajax nodded his head; however, he felt that the old voice’s words seemed like he was excited about something which Ajax absolutely didn’t like.

However, he continued to circulate the two cultivation techniques while looking at Nameless cultivation.

By now, Nameless cultivator had already destroyed his two sword waves and dodged the inheritance sword; however, he didn’t attack or didn’t order his minions to attack Ajax.

Instead, he was looking at Ajax with a confused look on his face as he thought, ’All of a sudden, what happened to him?’

’Brother Elek, did I overdo it?’

Looking at Ajax, Nameless cultivator transmitted his voice to Master Elek.

’Don’t worry. He is more capable than what he showed you until now. Just wait until he stands up again. Since he needs a lot of Astral Energy, we better need to test him before sending him into that place.’

Master Elek shook his head as he replied to Nameless cultivator.

If Ajax had heard those words, then he would have cursed both Master Elek and Nameless cultivator to death.

’Aargh’

Nevertheless, his pain continued to increase, making him groan.

’Are you sure, he is okay?’

Even though he looked scary with his appearance, Nameless cultivator was a little soft-hearted among all the vagrant cultivators. So, he asked Master Elek once again.
