New Age Of Summoners

’Swoosh’

’Huh?’

Just as the elite demon general thought to kill the demon killer in the future, he heard some noises from some distance and immediately hidden and slowly looked in the direction of those noises.

Although he had the strength of an elite general realm, he valued his life more than anything. So, he was very careful even when he was relaxing.

In that direction, he saw six silhouettes running towards the exit direction of the cursed wilderness.

”Huh? She looks familiar,” In the front most, the demon saw a familiar-looking human lady and immediately his eyes lit up.

’So what if you have saved the demon killer, Mercenary king. I will go for another one of your top captains...hehe,’ Looking at the middle-aged human woman and five other humans, the demon cunningly smiled as he followed them secretly without alarming the group of humans.

That group of humans were none other than ’Blood Rose’ mercenary squad members and the familiar looking middle-aged woman that the demon saw was the captain of the Blood rose mercenary squad, Madam Blood rose.

’I think, I better follow them and know why they are in such a hurry,’ the elite demon not only valued his life but he was also a very curious one. So, even when he could sneak up on the ’Blood Rose’ mercenary squad members, he quietly followed them.

”Captain, can I ask you something? Answer me only if you are comfortable with it,”

The squad members didn’t know that one of the elite demon generals was following them secretly and fully focused on running behind their captain. Among the five squad members, one woman, who was just behind the blood rose, slowly asked her captain.

”Hmm”

Blood rose quietly nodded her head and gave a green signal to her squad member to ask a question.

After she left the fire sword sect, she formed the ’Blood Rose’ mercenary squad as her home and considered all the squad members were her family members. So, she gave permission to the woman, who was just behind her.

”Are we going to help Captain Edmond, now?” She slowly asked her captain after hesitating for a moment.

”I thought it will be some other question.” She bitterly shook her head and thought that she would ask something different before nodding her head and said, ”Yes.”

Blood rose simply gave a single word answer that made all other squad members puzzle a little.

According to their knowledge, Captain Edmond was never close with any of the other top mercenary squad captains. Whenever they met, they would have some normal conversation; however, seeing the present worried look on their captain’s face, they knew there was something more between their captain and captain Edmond.

”Actually, that is not my real question,” The woman who asked the previous question embarrassed a little before asking, ”What is the relationship between you and Captain Edmond?”

After she asked the question, her heartbeat increased as she didn’t know how her captain would react with this question of hers.

’Huh?’

As soon as she heard her squad member’s question, the blood rose slowed her speed a little as she raised her brows and thought, ’Finally, someone asked...sigh’

Inside her heart, she sighed as people would notice something was between them if they were close. That’s the reason, she avoided him and always took the missions that were very far from here.

”I will say after we help him,”

She didn’t remain silent nor explain their relationship to her squad members but asked them to wait as she knew that she needed to explain about some of her past events to her squad members, who never asked her about anything and loyally followed her for more than three years.

”Okay, Captain,”

Even if their captain doesn’t want to say some of her past events, they would never force her as they already knew how difficult her past was and how cruel her family was to her forcing her to enter an evil inheritance land despite knowing the risks involved in it.

Moreover, she was the one who helped them to increase their cultivations within a short time period and if not for her, they would still be in elite commander realm or early general realm cultivators without any fraction to rely on. To say it correctly, they would have remained as rogue cultivators in their life forever.

”Now, let’s move quickly,” Blood rose carefully recruited her squad members and knew about their complete behaviour. So, she knew how they were feeling inside their hearts and asked them to move quickly.

All of them were completely focused on rushing towards the coordinates that Edmond had sent to the blood rose through the blue paper crane and didn’t notice that there was an elite demon general that was silently following them.

’Interesting...interesting,’ The elite demon general used some mysterious technique to hear the conversation between the Blood rose mercenary squad members and silently thought, ’You people, just extended your lives with that conversation...hehe.’

The elite demon general cunningly laughed as he continued to follow them and thought, ’Once you people find another mercenary squad captain, I will kill you together...Haha.’

Just thinking about killing another captain made the demon excited.

He was excited for a reason.

Similar to the captain of the demon killer mercenary squad, this elite demon general had a grudge against the captains of the mercenary captains. From the time he broke through to the general realm and until now, he killed more than 100 mercenary captains and gained a title among the mercenaries.

It was Captain Killer.

No one in the mercenaries knows his exact appearance as there was no one that remained alive after seeing him.

’With these two captains, I can finally reach 150...Haha,’ The elite demon general, who was also known as captain killer, excitedly thought about the number of mercenary captains he had killed so far.

As for how he had killed that title was, after killing every captain, he would leave a small bomb that would release a specific number when someone touches it before blasting.

The last time, a mercenary group found a dead body of a mercenary captain, the small bomb released 148 before blasting away.

Just like that, the blood rose mercenary squad members and behind them, the captain killer rushed towards Edmond and others.

....

In another part of the cursed wilderness.

”Guild master, I sense something is wrong by thinking about all the events that are happening recently,” Rulf said to the guild master with a serious expression on his face.

”Something wrong like what? About demons?” The Guild master never belittled Rulf’s intuition as he knew how correct Rulf’s intuition was in the past and how much it helped him.

So, he asked Rulf to give something more specific, then they could be careful with that.

”It’s like, the demon’s invasion this time is very different from the past,” Rulf narrowed it down and explained more about the demon invasion.

”So, you are saying that they have other plans other than invading us?” the old guild master suddenly thought about something and halted in his footsteps all of sudden and asked Rulf.
