Chapter 766: Ajax versus Brer

”I want to fight Ajax.”

Brer looked at all the participants ranked above him and selected Ajax.

He had thought a lot before his decision.

Initially, he felt all the participants ranked above him except for Arkor were only in that place because of luck.

However, after seeing the battle prowess of King killer and Heavenly ravenʼs single battle where he did nothing but stand, he changed his decision to challenge them one by one.

And, he felt Ajax was the only one he felt confident in defeating because of Ajaxʼs low cultivation.

ʼEven though I canʼt keep the first position for much time, I will at least stay there for a few minutes.ʼ

Like Brer, others will also get the chance to challenge him, and when that happens, he will lose that place.

”Let the battle begin.”

Protector Olek also wanted to see Ajaxʼs battle; however, the black-robed old man asked him to stop Alhan from fighting Ajax for some unknown reason.

So, he asked Alhan to think about it when he selected Ajax to challenge.

Soon, Ajax and Brer walked onto the stage.

”I donʼt know how you got that much score, but I am going to defeat you.”

As soon as he finished his words, Brerʼs body bulged and showcased his muscles.

”Slait, Necros, come out.”

As for Ajax, he summoned the two elemental spirits, which everyone knew from the top powers of the Zrochester province.

ʼEarth Shieldʼ

ʼEarth clonesʼ

ʼUndead summonʼ

The moment the two elemental spirits were summoned, they used their common yet powerful skills.

Slaitʼs earth shield protected Ajax, Necros, and Slait, whereas Necrosʼ undead warriors and Slaitʼs earth clones fought Brer.

ʼPuuʼ

ʼShhʼ

The earth clones were very weak, and Brer destroyed them within a few seconds, and his next target was Necrosʼ undead warrior.

ʼUndead fusionʼ

Ajax never bothered about earth clones because they were very weak, and Necros used his other skill with a relaxed expression on his face.

Soon, the five undead warriors merged and became one entity.

”Oh. Now, you became bigger? So what? I am going to destroy you anyway.”

Brer took a deep breath and rushed towards the huge undead warrior to destroy it.

Generally, the combat king sect disciples excel in a close-range battle. They rarely use weapons.

Instead of comprehending the weapon dao, they comprehend daos in a fist, kick, and other daos.

Brer had already reached grade 3 in both Fist and Kick dao.

So, Brer was able to destroy the earth clones with his bare hands and legs.

If he used his full power, he could severely injure the level 10 elite general realm cultivator.

”Disperse”

However, before Brerʼs attack could land on the huge undead warrior, it disappeared into smoke which went into Necrosʼ body.

ʼWhat?ʼ

Brer frowned when he saw Ajax was toying with him.

ʼWhy would someone summon back such a powerful undead warrior before it even starts to fight?ʼ

It was the thought in Brer and everyoneʼs mind.

Except for the protector Olek, no one knew the reason for Ajaxʼs actions which made everyone confused.

”Are you already scared? Haha.”

Brer could only think that Ajax was scared to fight him.

When this thought came to his mind, Brerʼs confidence increased to another level, and he felt like he already won the fight against Ajax.

”Haha”

When Ajax and his elemental spirits heard Brerʼs words, they could not help but laugh along with him, making Brer frown.

ʼAre they idiots or what?ʼ

ʼWhy are they laughing like that?ʼ

ʼMaybe, they knew they couldnʼt win against Brer. So, they are acting like maniacs...Haha.ʼ

Not only Brer, but all the on-lookers thought that something was wrong with Ajaxʼs mind.

”Necros, finish it soon.”

Ajax could hear the whispers of the onlookers, which made him shake his head.

Nevertheless, he asked Necros to finish the fight as soon as possible.

ʼWith your current cultivation, I can kill you with a single punch.ʼ

Brer didnʼt attack Necros; instead, he mocked Necros.

”I heard everyone from the combat king sect knows how to brag. Looks like what I heard was right.”

Necros shook his head.

Necros had never heard of the combat king sect before today; however, he said some words to provoke Brer into attacking him. Only then could he finish the fight as soon as possible.

”What did you say?”

Necrosʼ little trick indeed worked as Brer rushed towards him, face full of rage.

ʼThudʼ

However, Necros didnʼt bother to dodge or attack; instead, he allowed Brer to attack him.

”See, what you said earlier was just bragging as I am completely fine even after receiving your full-powered attack.”

Necros shrugged as he looked at Brer, who had a shocked expression on his face.

”You might be lucky.”

After hearing Necrosʼ words, Brer woke up from his shock and suppressed it before using his grade 3 kick dao.

ʼThudʼ

However, just like before, there was no effect on Necros.

”Thud”

”Swoosh”

”Thud”

Seeing that his attacks had no effects on Brer, he was feeling frustrated, and at the same time, he was becoming anxious.

Because if he lost now, he would become a joke in front of the whole Zrochester province.

So, he used his full power to continuously attack in various places to find Necrosʼ weak spot without wasting any time.

However, Brer didnʼt know that Necros had only one weakness when he was in immunity mode, and it was energy attacks.

Even if the energy attacks were low-level, they would do significant damage to Necros.

But, very few disciples from the combat king sect had energy attacks, and Brer was not one of them.

He has completely dedicated his life to learning various attacking styles without the use of weapons.

”Necros, it is enough. Just finish it already.”

While Brer was trying his best to find a physical weakness in Necrosʼ body, Ajax lazily asked Necros to finish the fight.

”Okay, summoning master.”

Necros is a dark elemental spirit that likes to enjoy toying with his opponent.

Brer was not Necrosʼs opponent when he was in immunity mode. But still, he was giving Brer some hope from time to time by letting out painful groans.

So, Ajax felt bad for Brer. So, he asked Necros to finish the fight.

”Blind”

”I give up.”

Necros directly used his first skill to cut off Brerʼs senses, and without giving him any chance, he directly kicked him out of the huge stage.

Brer was already tired after continuously using his full-powered attacks on Necros. So, when his senses were cut off, Brer felt like he was falling into an endless abyss and directly gave up.

”The fight between Ajax and Brer, Ajax wins.”

With a slight smile on his face, the protector Olek announced the result of the fight.

Even though Ajax didnʼt use any attack or skill in the fight and his summons did everything, the credit still goes to Ajax because he was a summoner.

It was very rare to see a high-level summoner fight in the battles because the elemental spirits had a wide range of skills that would change the result of the fights.

”Arkor, who do you want to challenge?”

”Ajax.”

Arkor looked at Ajax and replied to protector Olek without any hesitation.
