Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 99 - 89: Top of the Leaderboard, The Dust Settles

“””In this snowy weather, can rabbits become bandits?” Cao Xing laughed.

Liu Muxue looked naive, seemingly not understanding Cao Xing’s meaning.

At that moment, everyone noticed in the forest ahead, a large number of snow-white figures appeared on the branches.

With upright ears and sharp teeth, it was clear that these were the system’s prompt: Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit!

They stood upright, reaching a height of seventy to eighty centimeters, and their bodies were so plump they were comparable to a small pig!

At that moment, one of the rabbits raised its arms, gathering an ice ball above its head, and hurled it towards everyone.

“Be careful, my Lord.”

Assam drew his longsword, coming to guard by Cao Xing’s side.

“Slap!”

[-78]

The ice ball hit Da Bai, dealing a two-digit damage.

Da Bai instantly raised its trunk, glaring angrily at the Rabbit Group on the branches!

And Cao Xing also saw the attributes of these big rabbits.

…

Goodness, this large group of Bomb Rabbits numbered at least over three hundred!

“Chirp! Chirp chirp!”

These fat rabbits made threatening sounds, ready to attack at any moment.

Cao Xing looked at Liu Muxue beside him, chuckling: “Muxue, shouldn’t we change our tastes?”

“Huh?”

Liu Muxue was still looking naive.

But Cao Xing laughed: “Charge, take down these big rabbits for me, tonight I want to eat spicy rabbit heads!”

Upon receiving Cao Xing’s order, seven recruited creatures plus Da Bai charged towards the forest.

“Chirp! Chirp chirp chirp!”

The Bomb Rabbit group turned red-eyed instantly.

They raised their arms, then hurled large ice balls at Assam and Andrew.

Boom! Boom boom boom!

[-67]

[-54]

[-59]

Since Liu Muxue hadn’t cast the Aurora Holy Shield on all subordinates yet,

many two-digit damage numbers appeared above Da Bai and Andrew.

The rabbit’s attack was fairly strong.

But each of Cao Xing’s recruited creatures had been buffed with multiple defense, dramatically weakening the damage.

Even without the Holy Shield, these rabbits couldn’t inflict much damage on them.

Moreover, shortly after, many +46, +46 green numbers appeared over their heads, quickly restoring blood volume.

Meanwhile, Blot threw in the [Black Smoke Totem], disrupting these evil rabbits’ sight.

And Renice activated the [Hunting Eye] effect, frantically drawing the bowstring.

Renice had a near 100% critical strike rate in this state!

“Whizz! Whizz whizz whizz!”

[-634!]

[-625!]

[-633!]

One by one, the bomb rabbits were hit, screaming, and falling off the branches.

Then they’d encounter Assam and the others’ attacks.

These over ten-level monsters could no longer pose any threat to them.

An elite-level Frost Bomb Rabbit gathered a large ice ball, just about to throw it at the centaur.

At that moment, a viper-like aura locked onto this Frost Bomb Rabbit.

Swish!

[-3794!]

A terrifying critical hit damage number appeared.

[Your Territory member: Sarah Blade Dance killed Frost Bomb Rabbit Lv12, obtaining 200 Experience Points.]

[Combat personnel gained 100 Experience Points.]

The Frost Bomb Rabbit was instantly killed, Sarah’s attacks were terrifyingly strong!

The next moment, Sarah leaped agilely.

Then in mid-air executed an [Arc Light Flash].

Swish!

She utilized this ability as a movement technique—fast and fierce.

[-2374]

[-2263]

[-3891!]

Instantly, the bomb rabbits sliced by her attacks, died.

A heap of Experience Point notifications appeared.

Three tier leader-level Sarah exhibited terrifying might!

Cao Xing hadn’t used [Barrett] here.

He worried the gunshots would attract strong creatures in the mountains.

Instead, he raised his magic wand and concentrated [Ice Arrow Rain].

Dozens of ice arrows appeared out of nowhere over the bomb rabbit group.

Crashing!

Wave after wave of ice arrows poured down, knocking the bomb rabbits off the trees.

In no time, the number of dead bomb rabbits exceeded 50.

And Cao Xing’s Experience Points skyrocketed.

At this moment, many 174 area survivors were eyeing the leaderboard.

Since seeing Cao Xing’s Experience Bar moving again afterward, they knew maybe today, Cao Xing could directly clinch first place.

They all wanted to witness this moment firsthand.

[First Place: Cao Xing Level 9 91%]

[Level 9 92%]

[Level 9 93%]

Every few seconds, Cao Xing’s Experience Points were climbing up.

In 174 area chat channel, a heated discussion broke out.

Xie Yanzhi: “Cao Xing is too fierce, he’s about to level up to 10!”

Tian Chuwen: “I really don’t know how Cao Xing manages it, why does leveling seem as easy as eating and drinking for him, it takes me ages just to kill one rabbit.”

Zhuo Fei: “I just glanced at the world channel, now out of nearly two hundred regions worldwide, less than ten have their first place reach Level 9.”

Hearing this, other survivors were immediately shocked.

Shen Peng: “Oh my, is Cao Xing’s leveling speed so outrageous, can anyone in the other big areas keep up with him?”

Zhuo Fei replied: “Of course, with billions around the world, having a few monsters isn’t unexpected, right?”

Other survivors echoed: “Indeed… I heard in Area 67, Casim has a Level 10 leader-level creature under him, relying on this Level 10 leader, Casim leads far ahead in their big area.”

“In Area 53, Muhammad found a turret, putting all resources into building it, seeking monsters to pull near his territory, then use the turret to blast them, ensuring rapid level gain.”

“Tetsuya Yamagami from Area 11 seems incredible, choosing the mechanic profession and can now mass-produce self-destructing robots.”

“In Area 17, Salman Khan apparently constructed a [Soldier Training Camp], abandoned territory development, training all Polar People and civilians into soldiers, crazily invading native territories, with terrifying growth speed!”

“Damn it, A-three, get out of here!”

Upon discussing, everyone realized each big area indeed harbors quite a few gifted individuals, all adopting different development strategies.

Some poured all resources into themselves, pursuing a personal growth route.

While others invested resources in territory, taking a defensive route.

And there were those abandoning territory growth, opting for an aggressive troop-expansion strategy.

At this point, a survivor named Xu Yongxin said: “No wonder the big shot Gongsun Ming from Area 1 once said, this world offers more than one development path, finding the one that suits oneself is best.”

The chat channel survivors all nodded.

Shen Peng continued: “However, even with many experts across big areas, shouldn’t Cao Xing be the first in the whole server to reach Level 10?”

Without specific insight into other big areas’ situations, nobody could answer this question.

At this moment another survivor said: “Look quickly, Cao Xing’s Experience is now at 99%, he’s about to hit Level 10!”

Hearing this, everyone glanced at the leaderboard.

Within five seconds.

The level leaderboard changed.

[174 Area Level Ranking List]

[First Place: Cao Xing Level 10 0% (Rewards claimed, subsequent level-up progress will not update)]

[Second Place: Liu Muxue Level 8 72%]

[Third Place: Zhou Bo Level 5 93%]

[Fourth Place: Fang Long Level 5 73%]

[Fifth place…]

In the chat channel, other survivors saw the first place settled, immediately releasing a collective sigh.

“As expected… still, Cao Xing took first.”

“Yes, there really wasn’t any suspense about it, the gap was too large…”

The survivor named Ji Xinyue chuckled: “Hee hee… I think I saw Fang Long still using an Elite Recruitment Scroll to place a bounty on Cao Xing’s position!”

“The Three Heroes Association must be panicking seeing Cao Xing take first place, but they’re helpless, only watching the gap with Cao Xing widen.”

Other survivors, after hearing that, also issued meaningful laughter.

At this moment, the Three Heroes Association’s chat channel fell silent.

For indeed, nobody could refute Ji Xinyue’s words.

While they discussed.

A white light rose up over Cao Xing.

[Your level has increased, current level: 10]

[Gained from this level-up: Power +3, Agility +1, Spirit +4, Constitution +2]

[Congratulations! You are the first survivor in Area 174 to reach Level 10, obtaining leaderboard rewards: Beast Meat*200, Medical Bag*10, Medium Resource Pack*10, Silver Treasure Chest*1, Second Tier Leader Level Biological Recruitment Scroll (Gold)*1, Basic Power Heart*1]

…

The system prompt ended, leaving Cao Xing gazing at the Silver Treasure Chest and golden recruitment scroll in his backpack, his eyes gleaming with joy!

“Great, with this scroll, I can recruit another leader-level existence!”

After Sarah evolved into a leader-level existence, her formidable strength was evident to all.

Though this one is second-tier, it shouldn’t be too weak.

Cao Xing was filled with anticipation…
