Chapter 250: Rich Girl Falls for Poor Boy? Wake Up, There’s No Such Plot in Reality

Just as Kenichi was starting to worry that Koyuki might not be able to endure it, she suddenly calmed down.

She lay quietly on the bed, completely still. If Kenichi could not see her chest rising and falling, he might have suspected something had happened.

”Normal temperature. Breathing, heartbeat, all normal. No obvious abnormalities for now.” Kenichi frowned in thought. ”The Sharingan is convenient, but it’s annoying that it can’t see inside the body.”

His gaze sharpened.

That limitation made him consider another eye.

The Byakugan.

It could see through the body and observe the chakra pathways directly. If it could see meridians, then it might also be able to see parasites. The only problem was obtaining one, and Kenichi was well aware of the situation surrounding the Hyuga and their eyes.

As one of Konoha’s two great dōjutsu clans, standing alongside the Uchiha, the Hyuga held an inherently privileged position in the village. Compared to the Uchiha, who were increasingly ostracized by Konoha’s higher ups, the Hyuga were more stable and, in some ways, even stronger.

That stability came from the clan’s ”wisdom,” but it also reflected the Byakugan’s ceiling. It simply could not be compared to the Sharingan’s upper limit.

Kenichi knew the potential hidden inside the Byakugan.

The problem was that most people did not.

So the Hyuga’s development of their eyes was, frankly, average. Most of them probably capped out around Hiashi’s level. A rare few could reach Hinata’s level, but even that was uncommon.

Hinata’s eyes were exceptionally pure, to the point that even that pervert on the moon coveted them. That fact alone said enough about how valuable Hinata’s eyes were.

In Kenichi’s view, Hinata’s bloodline was likely closer to an atavistic return, an unusually ”pure” throwback.

The Byakugan was powerful in several areas, and its ultimate form, the Tenseigan, was even more terrifying. Before, Kenichi had found it difficult to move inside the village. Now it did not matter. He decided he would obtain one.

As for the method, it was straightforward.

First, he would ask his teacher whether Konoha had any intentions regarding the Hyuga. If Konoha did, that was perfect, and Konoha could take the blame. If Konoha did not, then he would do it himself.

As for the target, the answer was obvious.

The Main Family, preferably Hinata.

That said, Kenichi actually liked Hinata. He did not intend to forcibly take her eyes. For him, obtaining tissue information would be enough.

Besides, his current main research project was vacant. Who knew? If he researched Hinata’s Byakugan, perhaps he could unlock something.

Of course, Kenichi knew that was unrealistic.

Hinata’s bloodline was excellent, or she would not have been targeted by the man on the moon, who even planned to abduct her and make her his wife. It was ridiculous. Young Naruto did not even know he had gained a love rival, and a crude one at that.

Still, it had not reached the point of producing the Tenseigan directly.

”Naruto’s really lucky,” Kenichi muttered, shaking his head. ”The girl who likes him held on for that long. As for other people... tsk.”

Naruto and Hinata’s relationship was complicated.

At the beginning, Naruto had no romantic feelings for Hinata at all. He liked Sakura instead. And for Hinata, as the young lady of the Hyuga Main Family, to like Naruto for so long was not easy.

It was like a rich girl falling for someone who was ostracized and bullied, then loving him for years without wavering. Absurd, in a way.

Of course, it was later proven that this ”poor boy” was exactly the type you should not underestimate.

But that was manga.

This was reality.

Kenichi had no intention of interfering in Naruto’s romantic problems. He would let Naruto decide for himself.

At that moment, Koyuki’s eyelids fluttered open.

Kenichi immediately leaned in. ”You’re awake. How do you feel?”

This was the world’s only chakra parasitic mother worm. If it was gone, it was truly gone.

Koyuki was important, but the mother worm was far more valuable.

Koyuki blinked in confusion, then looked around in shock.

Even though it was night, the room was as clear to her as if it were daytime.

”I... I feel strange,” she whispered.

Her thoughts felt faster. Sharper. As if her mind had been pushed into overdrive.

And then she swallowed hard.

Her stomach growled loudly.

Kenichi smiled at the sound. He reached into his pouch and pulled out a few Soldier Pills, then handed them to her.

Koyuki ate them.

Her stomach kept rumbling.

Kenichi’s expression shifted slightly.

That was not right. Those pills could sustain him for an entire day, yet Koyuki had eaten several and still was not satisfied.

”So your appetite increased after parasitism,” he said. ”Does the parasite need nutrients too?”

That seemed likely. Parasites grew. Growth required fuel.

And from what he had seen so far, the parasite had two sources of energy.

One was chakra. The mother worm had gnawed on his chakra before.

The second was ordinary food, converted into energy through the body.

”I... I think so?” Koyuki answered uncertainly.

She could feel something inside her. Nothing painful, nothing wrong, but undeniably present. It was strange, like an unfamiliar weight in her body that did not belong.

A faint voice echoed in her mind.

Hunger. Starving. Eat.

It was unsettling, but it did not override her own thoughts.

”Wait a moment,” Kenichi said.

He placed his hand on Koyuki’s head.

Then a thin stream of Yang Release chakra flowed into her. He controlled it carefully, keeping the amount small so it would not harm her body.

Soon, he found it.

His parasite.

It was in Koyuki’s brain.

The instant it sensed his chakra, the mother worm reacted with obvious excitement. It fed greedily, swallowing his chakra as if it were the most perfect meal.

Only when it was full did Kenichi withdraw his chakra.

As he expected, for a chakra parasite, chakra itself was the best food. It reached ”full” quickly on chakra, unlike Soldier Pills, which would require a large amount.

Kenichi smiled.

”It looks like you’ll need to find a way to become a shinobi quickly,” he said. ”Now that parasitism has succeeded, next comes studying what this thing can really do.”
