Chapter 246: Torture Device in the Name of Love

”Useless trash. What did you think the Great Treasure was?” Kenichi sneered, eyes cold. ”How does it feel to kill your own brother for a heater?”

He enjoyed crushing people like this. Once he understood what someone had chased their whole life, the perfect blade was already in his hand.

Doto was undoubtedly ambitious. He had brazenly attacked his own brother to seize the so called Great Treasure, dreaming of becoming one of the world’s top figures. Kenichi had no idea where that confidence came from, but one thing was certain.

Doto had obsessed over that ”Treasure” for years.

”You’re lying to me, right?” Doto stared at him wildly, eyes bulging, almost crazed. ”You must be lying!”

”Why would I need to lie?” Kenichi smiled. ”I already found Amado. This is what he told me. The so called Great Treasure is just a heater, something that lets the Land of Snow have a little land suitable for living and cultivation.”

”You’re lying to me!”

Kenichi shook his head.

Doto did not truly disbelieve him. He simply refused to believe. Because the moment he accepted it, he would also have to accept that he threw away his brother’s life, and his own, for a piece of trash.

Kenichi grabbed Rouga and turned to leave.

Above them, the giant sword of lightning fell.

Doto and the other two shinobi went silent at once.

The Snow Kage Building was ruined. Nearby, terrified civilians trembled in place, and several shinobi wearing Hidden Snow headbands stood frozen, too scared to move.

Kenichi tossed the dog like Rouga onto the ground. Then he had a Shadow Clone bring Koyuki over.

The usurper was dead, but that did not mean the matter was finished.

He still had to help Koyuki take the throne. She was too young, which meant a young lord and a suspicious country. But with Kenichi standing here, and with the former Snow Kage Building in ruins as proof of what happened to those who resisted, it was unlikely anyone would dare make a move.

Besides, Doto had not usurped power for long. There were probably still people loyal to Koyuki’s father.

”Now it’s up to you,” Kenichi said, rubbing Koyuki’s head. ”The Land of Snow cannot be without a daimyo, and it cannot be without a Snow Kage.”

Koyuki bit her lower lip. She glanced at Doto’s corpse, then drew a shaky breath.

”But I don’t know how,” she whispered, lowering her head.

She was still a child. Expecting her to understand how to govern a country was absurd.

Kenichi was briefly speechless.

In the end, he could only help her speak a few simple lines, enough to steady the room and give everyone a direction.

And without any suspense, by virtue of her surname, Koyuki became the new daimyo of the Land of Snow, and also the new Snow Kage. Kenichi did not publicly declare any official position, but the tragic fate of the previous Snow Kage Building was more than enough to silence most ambitions.

As Koyuki nervously handled problem after problem, Kenichi stood to the side with his arms crossed. Rouga lay at his feet, already bound tightly.

”You’re no better, you ambitious bastard...” Rouga sneered, then spat, trying to hit Kenichi’s foot. He fell short.

”And that little brat,” Rouga continued, eyes vicious, ”she’s your puppet, isn’t she?”

Kenichi glanced at him and said nothing.

Rouga had been close to the two shinobi who just died. He was likely trying to provoke Kenichi into killing him, so he could follow them.

”Why aren’t you talking?” Rouga’s grin turned feral. ”Did I hit a nerve?”

Kenichi sighed.

This man was truly annoying.

If Kenichi did not want to confirm whether Rouga truly possessed Ice Release, he would have sent him to reunite with his brothers long ago.

”Bark. Keep barking,” Kenichi said flatly.

He casually stepped on Rouga’s head, pressing it into the floor.

”You’ll learn soon enough what it means to beg for death.”

Once Rouga fell into his teacher’s hands, he would not be able to live or die.

Kenichi still did not even know what state Hidan was in now. That man should still be trapped in the laboratory, soaking in nutrient solution day after day.

Bloodline Limit samples were priceless. If they could fully map the genes of people like this, maybe they could infer the Bloodline Web.

Kenichi suspected the so called Bloodline Web was something only pure blood Ōtsutsuki possessed.

Like Kaguya. Like the Sage of Six Paths.

No one else had it. At most, there was only the Third Tsuchikage’s Dust Release.

Still, listening to Rouga bark nonstop was exhausting.

Kenichi thought for a moment, then slapped Rouga’s stomach.

A faint current drilled inward.

Rouga’s abdomen and intestines spasmed violently, and he screamed in pain, body jerking against the bindings.

Kenichi watched with a small smile.

”You know,” he said lightly, ”someone once called this kind of thing a ’loving device.’ They said it lets men experience the pain of childbirth, so husbands can ’understand’ their wives.”

His eyes narrowed with quiet contempt.

”But it was never the same thing. It was just torture with a nice name.”

In his previous life, Kenichi had always respected every mother. But those so called childbirth experience machines were nothing but top tier scams. Men and women had different physiology. There was no real way to replicate that pain.

Most of those machines simply used electric stimulation to force abdominal muscles and internal tissues into spasms, creating intense pain. It was dangerous, too. Muscle and organ spasms could lead to necrosis, even life threatening complications.

There had even been news about a man dragged by his girlfriend to try it. A portion of his intestines necrosed and had to be removed.

The marriage fell apart, and legal responsibility followed.

So yes, it was a torture device disguised as ”love.” People held it up, shouting, ”Don’t you love her?” while they hurt someone like it was entertainment.

Kenichi had no problem using it on a captive.

Even if Rouga’s body developed issues, Kenichi could simply use the Mystical Palm Technique to force recovery. There was no need to worry about necrosis.

”If you have the guts...” Rouga gasped, face twisted in sweat, ”just kill me.”

Kenichi shook his head.

He activated his Sharingan.

Rouga finally went quiet.
