Chapter 97: Chapter 93: Intimate Relationships, Those at the End of the Road

”A musical instrument?” he asked with some confusion, ”This... for this place, indeed counts as a very special gift.”

Trish’s eyes flashed with a hint of slyness, ”Last time during our chat, didn’t you say that your Sound Wave Magic hit a bottleneck? Felt like you were at a dead end?”

Ron recalled that conversation, he indeed complained to Trish about his slow progress in the study of sound wave vibrations, constantly feeling like he was missing a breakthrough.

”Davod once mentioned that he comes from a family of musicians.”

Trish continued, her eyes sparkling with lively light:

”I think, maybe understanding sound waves from the perspective of music will bring you new inspiration. After all, music is essentially a well-designed frequency of vibration.”

Ron felt enlightened, he gently strummed the violin strings, listening to the bright tone echoing in the air. If this violin were sold in the Mortal Realm, it would probably be worth a fortune.

A brand new idea flashed in his mind.

This was truly a case of being too close to see clearly; recently, he had been solely focused on enhancing the power of sound wave oscillation.

Yet he had not thought about the essence of Sound Wave Magic, which was not only about single-frequency vibration, but also about complex sound wave combinations and rhythm!

By recalling, Ron was surprised to discover that the music theory and instrument making in this world had developed to a fairly advanced stage, almost comparable to the modern level on Earth.

Various equivalent Western instruments could be found here, and the theoretical system was relatively complete.

Even because of the integration of extraordinary elements and Otherworld culture, in certain areas it developed even deeper than in modern times.

”This is... amazing!” he said excitedly, his eyes shining with inspiration:

”I have been focusing on the effect of single-frequency vibration, but neglecting the combination and layering of sound waves! Through musical performance, I can create more complex and exquisite sound wave attack patterns.”

His thoughts raced, and he began to conceive a new magic model in his mind:

”Maybe in the future, I won’t even need to rely on any instruments, just using my own magic power to simulate various musical effects, creating that kind of invisible permeating death melody... After all, in battle, the enemy won’t give you a chance to play the violin.”

Trish watched the spark of inspiration in Ron’s eyes, and couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

What she had prepared as a gift on a whim unexpectedly brought him such important inspiration.

”Looks like I picked the right gift.” She smiled slightly, ”I’m glad it can help you with your research.”

Ron put down the violin and said sincerely, ”This might be one of the most valuable gifts I’ve ever received, thank you, Trish.”

Their eyes briefly met in the air before quickly moving apart.

”Speaking of which.” Ron shifted the topic, ”I hope to expand the sales channel for the magic potions. Although I’ve already earned the title of Alchemist, to run a workshop well, customer sources are key.”

Trish nodded, understanding what he meant, ”You need me to introduce you to some clients.”

”Yes, but I have a special request.”

Ron became serious, ”Besides Magic Potion Refining, I also have to balance meditation and magic cultivation, so my energy is limited. I hope to take a boutique route, not many clients, but high quality.”

The girl thought for a moment, then smiled:

”This isn’t a difficult task, I know quite a few Advanced Apprentices in the sequence who have the purchasing power and are willing to pay a premium for high-quality magic potions. I can help you connect with them.”

”That would be wonderful.” Ron nodded gratefully, ”I’ll ensure the quality of the magic potions and will continue to offer you friendship discounts.”

Having finished the serious conversation, the two chatted casually about recent affairs, the atmosphere becoming more relaxed.

As they chatted, Trish suddenly looked around, commenting somewhat distastefully:

”Honestly, you’re already a Professional Alchemist, why are you still living in such a shabby dormitory? It’s inconvenient to visit you every time.”

Ron scratched his head awkwardly, indeed having a hereditary frugality problem, just like on Earth:

”Actually, I’ve already applied to the School for an independent workshop, a messenger should be delivering the contract soon.”

.........

As she walked to the Candidate Apprentice Dormitory Area, Gwyneth’s feelings were still complex; she had already thought of what to say to apologize.

But as she stood before Ron’s door, just about to knock, the door suddenly opened on its own.

A girl in a light-colored long dress opened the door from inside, closely followed by a graceful and elegant leopardess.

Gwyneth immediately recognized her—Trish, the recent sensation among apprentices in the School, and Corina’s star pupil.

”Apprentice Trish?” Gwyneth blurted out in surprise.

The brown-haired girl turned her head, assessing her with bright eyes, ”Hmm? Who are you?”

”I’m Gwyneth from the East District Registry, you might not have heard of my name...” she explained somewhat awkwardly, ”I’m here to deliver Ron Apprentice’s workshop contract.”

”Oh, the workshop contract.” Trish smiled slightly and stepped aside to make way, ”He’s inside, might as well pack up and get ready to move.”

Gwyneth nodded and walked inside.

The scene inside was not quite what she had imagined; though small, the room was tidy and orderly.

On the table, dozens of bottles of magic potions were neatly arranged, each emitting a stable energy fluctuation, clearly newly completed high-quality products.
