Chapter 67: Chapter 66: ”Precise Proportioning” and Master Selection

Under his guidance, the Spiritual Power formed a brand-new Magic Model, more complex and refined than the original.

The Energy no longer simply gathered but flowed in a specific rhythm, creating a self-sustaining vibration system.

”It’s like a miniature resonant cavity...” Ron felt this new construction method, filled with amazement in his heart.

He carefully directed this new Magic Model at a stone on the table for experiments and then released Energy.

A nearly invisible ripple shot from his palm and struck the stone.

Unlike before, the stone didn’t shatter immediately but started emitting a subtle humming sound, as if it had become a resonator itself.

Seconds later, cracks appeared inside the stone, and then it silently disintegrated into powder, the process exceptionally smooth, with no signs of explosion.

[Sound Wave Vibration (Skilled) Experience Points +3]

”Perfect!” Ron whispered in admiration, as the result far exceeded his expectations.

The newly improved Sound Wave Vibration not only was more powerful but also more precise, able to target the weaknesses of specific substances for directed destruction.

Theoretically, this method could even be used to attack specific parts inside a person’s body, such as blood vessels or nerve nodes.

As he walked out of the experiment site, the night had already deepened.

Ron looked up at the starry night sky, a wonderful feeling bubbling up within him.

After studying ”Star Eater’s Ravings,” the stars were no longer merely distant points of light but entities containing profound mysteries.

He clenched the stone fragment in his pocket and hurried to his room.

Even though it was late, it was not yet time for him to rest.

Swordsmanship and Body Refining, Meditation Technique, reviewing Magic Potion Making, Magic experiments, work at the Herb Store during the day, and fulfilling Trish’s potion orders...

There were so many things to do, so he had to continually compress his sleep time. Fortunately, with the pocket watch, he didn’t feel too tired.

As the sage once said: Time is like water in a sponge, squeeze it, and there will always be more.

.........

That day, Trish arrived as scheduled to pick up her commissioned Magic Potions.

Ron had already neatly arranged all the potions on the small table, with each bottle labeled with detailed contents, usage, and precautions.

”This time, the Effect should be stronger than last time.” He explained, ”I made some Modulations in the Formula to enhance the interaction efficiency between the herbs.”

Trish carefully examined each potion, her expression gradually shifting from focus to surprise, finally to sincere admiration.

[Magic Potion Refining (Beginner 50/50) → Magic Potion Refining (Skilled 1/100)]

[Additional Traits acquired: Precise Ratio (Slight increase in Effect, slight decrease in material consumption)]

After this period of concentrated Modulation, Ron’s Magic Potion Refining Skill had officially broken through to the skilled level.

This meant he could now attempt more complex Magic Potion Formulas, and even start some preliminary Potion improvements.

”Next time, I might try to prepare some more Advanced Magic Potions, like ’Awakening’ or ’Spiritual Shield’.” Ron suggested.

Trish widened her eyes in surprise: ”Are you sure? Those are fields that even advanced Magic Potion Apprentices find difficult to tackle, going further would be to become a Professional Alchemist, considering the time you’ve devoted to Magic Potion Making...”

Ron smiled slightly: ”I’ve had some breakthroughs recently in Magic Potion Making, I should be able to handle it.”

The brown-haired girl knew he didn’t want to elaborate, she nodded and took out a money bag from her robe:

”Here’s the balance, thirty pieces of Magic Stone Fragment, all included. Considering the quality exceeds mass-produced counterparts on the market, I added five extra pieces as additional compensation.”

”Thank you, this is more generous than I expected.” Ron accepted the money bag, feeling its weight.

With the completion of the potion commission, Ron’s ”small treasury” had accumulated to a considerable extent—almost 150 pieces of Magic Stone Fragment.

This was enough to pay for some Advanced courses within the School or purchase rare materials.

”Speaking of which.” Trish took a seat on the adjacent small chair: ”You mentioned last time you were interested in the School’s paid courses?”

”Yes, I wanted to know which courses are worth investing in.” Ron poured two cups of tea and handed one to Trish.

”The School’s paid courses are mainly divided into three categories.” Trish picked up the teacup, blowing it slightly, and began to explain:

”The first category is basic reinforcement courses, like ’Spiritual Control Techniques’ and ’Magic Circuit Optimization,’ the price is relatively moderate, each course requires about 20 to 30 pieces of Magic Stone Fragment.”

She sipped a little as the tea in the cup cooled down and continued:

”The second category is professional direction courses, such as ’Advanced Magic Potion Making,’ ’Basic Rune Construction Principles,’ and ’Elemental Affinity Training,’ with higher prices, usually ranging from 50 to 80 fragments.”

”The last category involves private guidance provided by Masters based on your problems, the price is highest, requiring nearly a hundred Magic Stone Fragments, sometimes a few Magic Stones, but the benefits are significant.”

Ron listened carefully, already having a general direction in his mind: ”In your view, which courses provide the best value for money?”

Trish thought for a moment: ”For your current stage, ’Magic Circuit Optimization’ and ’Spiritual Stability Techniques’ would be very helpful. The former can increase your Magic Capacity and recovery speed, while the latter might alleviate the Spiritual pressure experienced during Meditation.”

This was precisely what Ron needed, although his Spiritual Power value had already reached 2.6, not too far from the status of Intermediate Apprentice, his Magic Power was not outstanding, only at 0.7, limiting his Casting Ability.

”How many fragments do these two courses each require?” Ron asked.

”’Magic Circuit Optimization’ requires 25, ’Spiritual Stability Techniques’ need 35. But if you enroll in both, the School offers a discount, totaling about 50 fragments.”

He touched his chin and started calculating: ”Sounds pretty reasonable, is there anything else you’d recommend?”

”If you indeed have a talent in Magic Potion Making, then the course ’Pharmacological Resonance’ could be very valuable to you. It explains how to maximize the synergistic effect between different herbs, it’s a prerequisite course of Advanced Magic Potion Making.”

”How many Magic Stone Fragments?”

”60 fragments, but it should be extremely worthwhile for someone with your Magic Potion Making talent. However, these courses usually have a cycle of around three months, if you want to choose these paid courses, you need to enroll next quarter, you’ll have to wait for over a month.”

Having said this, Trish paused, hesitating whether to continue: ”Also... do you have any plans regarding the choice of Master?”

Ron raised an eyebrow: ”Why ask this suddenly?”

”Because your progress speed is very eye-catching.”

She laid the teacup down, speaking frankly: ”There are already quite a few people in the School discussing you, such a leap from sixth-class star aptitude to this level, it’s hard not to attract attention.”

The brown-haired girl approached slightly and lowered her voice: ”I’ve heard Holt is very interested in you?”

Ron nodded cautiously: ”He indeed helped me a lot before and invited me to his laboratory for exchange.”

”Be careful.” Trish’s expression turned serious:

”The rivalry for the Candidate Wizard sequence is far more complex than you imagine, every Advanced Apprentice has their allies and foes. If you get too close to someone, you will be implicitly involved in these conflicts.”

”You are Lady Corina’s student, any advice on this?” Ron countered.
