Chapter 91: Chapter 88: Extensive Knowledge and Records (Part 2)

Magnus walked up to Ron and handed him a note: ”These are the three potions you need to refine.”

Ron looked down and couldn’t help but narrow his eyes: Wound Healing Potion, Spiritual Stabilizer, and Awakening Potion.

The Awakening Potion, in particular, is extremely difficult; even among practicing alchemists, few can refine it perfectly.

This was clearly a bit beyond the syllabus, like a challenging question designed specifically for top students on a math exam.

”This...” Ron looked up at Magnus, whose face bore a kind and gentle smile as he looked at him.

”Is there a problem, young man?” the Elder Alchemist asked, a hint of probing in his voice.

Ron took a deep breath and calmly replied, ”No, Master Magnus, I will do my best to complete it.”

”Very well.” Magnus nodded: ”You have four hours.”

Ron quickly planned the order of refining and time allocation.

The Wound Healing Potion was relatively simple and could be completed first;

The Spiritual Stabilizer required slow brewing, and could start immediately after finishing the first potion;

As for the Awakening Potion, it required complete concentration and would be done last.

He first took out the Silver Wing Separator to begin processing the materials needed for the Wound Healing Potion.

The appearance of such a precise tool immediately drew the attention of other examinees, who whispered in surprise, apparently recognizing this as the extremely rare Silver Wing Separator.

However, the more precise the equipment, the higher the difficulty of operation, often resulting in failure for those whose skills are not proficient, and using it well is considered a skill of an alchemist.

Therefore, using one’s own precise equipment does not violate the basic requirements of the assessment.

Ron ignored the discussions and gazes, focusing on his work.

His movements were smooth and precise, each step executed perfectly without any superfluous actions.

The Wound Healing Potion was quickly completed, the finished product presenting a perfect amber color and emitting a faint herbal aroma.

Ron placed it in a small bottle to cool beside him and started preparing the materials for the Spiritual Stabilizer.

”He completed one potion in just half an hour...” the examinee next to him glanced at his actions, whispering in amazement, ”And it looks top quality, who exactly is this kid?”

The refining process of the Spiritual Stabilizer was more complex, requiring slow brewing at a specific temperature and stirring evenly.

Ron used Master Lady Allen’s special technique, adjusting the order of several steps in the traditional formula, making the refining process more stable.

Just as he was finishing the Spiritual Stabilizer, a strange feeling surged in his heart.

He saw a familiar, semi-transparent notification before his eyes:

[Basic Magic Potion Making (Proficient) Experience Points +1]

[Breakthrough! Basic Magic Potion Making (Proficient 100/100) → Basic Magic Potion Making (Mastery max)]

[Additional Traits have advanced:

Speedy Memory → Extensive Knowledge

(Super memory → Eidetic Memory;

Increased ability to integrate knowledge, improved learning efficiency;

When the amount of knowledge increases, comprehension will slightly improve)]

At the moment of breakthrough, Ron felt his mind become exceptionally clear as if a long-standing fog had suddenly been blown away.

Everything he had learned, whether Chapters and passages from Basic Magic Potion Theory or the experiences orally imparted by Lady Allen, or even those scattered potion formulation records, all reorganized in an unprecedented way.

The feeling was like pieces of a puzzle that had been scattered in his mind suddenly assembling into a complete picture.

He could clearly see the inherent connections between various materials, the principles and mechanisms of different reactions, and even predict changes that might occur under different conditions.

”So this is the difference at the Master Level...” Ron marveled in his heart.

An hour later, the Spiritual Stabilizer was also completed, showing a satisfying deep blue with silvery light spots floating on the surface, proving its energy was extremely active.

Magnus periodically patrolled among the examinees, and whenever he passed by Ron’s workstation, he would linger a moment longer, observing the young man’s operation.

In the final two hours, Ron began to tackle the most challenging Awakening Potion.

This potion demanded extremely high precision, with any minor error potentially rendering the entire product ineffective.

At this point, after breaking through in Basic Magic Potion Making, Ron felt his understanding of potion refining had reached an entirely new level.

He was no longer mechanically following steps but could see through appearances to the essence, understanding the principles behind each step.

Ron first used the Silver Wing Separator to extract the purest part of Star Dust Pollen, then, following Lady Allen’s suggestion, added three drops of Moon Dew to enhance stability.

Then, he slowly mixed other materials while controlling the heat to ensure the temperature remained within the optimal range.

While other examinees were still somewhat frantic with their second potion, he was already entering the final stage.

With a new perspective brought by the breakthrough to Master Level, Ron suddenly discovered a subtle flaw in the traditional formula.

”If Silver Tree Root Extract is added at the final stage, the potion’s efficacy will be more stable and lasting...”

He pondered inwardly, ”and it can make the color more even, improving the overall quality of the potion.”

Although Lady Allen indeed mentioned the traits of Silver Tree Root, applying it to the Awakening Potion was Ron’s own innovation.

He took a small bottle of Silver Tree Root Extract from the side and added a drop just before the potion was completed, gently stirring it three times.
