Junior Sister, I Really Have to Control You

Chapter 69: Chapter 44: Profound Evil Sword

That morning, Mu Xiaoyu stood in front of the main hall, practicing the eleventh Sword Light with the White Rainbow Sword.

Although Li Yinsheng had already planned to take his junior martial sister to hunt a demon for some real combat experience, he didn’t actually bring her along that very day. First, it had been too late in the evening. Second, while there were demons on the surrounding mountains, he still needed to scout them one by one to find the most suitable opponent to temper her skills.

Therefore, early this morning, he had specially troubled Junior Martial Uncle Jiang to supervise Mu Xiaoyu’s sword practice while he went to the nearby mountains to observe the various demons.

This proved to be pure torture for Mu Xiaoyu. Even though Junior Martial Uncle Jiang merely sat under the hall’s eaves and quietly watched her practice without saying a single word, Mu Xiaoyu still felt like she was sitting on pins and needles under her gaze. She was completely ill at ease. Even when the morning was halfway over and it was time for a short break, she didn’t dare to stop. She just kept her head down and continued practicing her swordplay.

As for Junior Martial Uncle Jiang... she had no idea that Mu Xiaoyu’s schedule called for a rest period at this hour. After all, she normally only dropped by occasionally to take a quick look and stay for a short while. She wouldn’t spend the whole day watching Mu Xiaoyu practice.

Fortunately, just as Mu Xiaoyu felt she could no longer hold on, Junior Martial Uncle Jiang finally spoke up. ”Alright, rest for a moment.”

Feeling as if she had just received a grand pardon, Mu Xiaoyu hurriedly bowed. She placed the White Rainbow Sword on the nearby weapon rack, sat cross-legged on a cushion beside it, and began to regulate her breathing.

”Your Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword is coming along decently,” Junior Martial Uncle Jiang said, her gaze resting on the White Rainbow Sword. ”What about the Profound Evil Sword that Yin Sheng taught you previously?”

The Profound Evil Sword was the Slaughter Sword Technique she and Li Yinsheng had discussed before. It could be used to make up for the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword’s lack of lethal moves. The essence of this Sword Technique lay in combining multiple Sword Lights to condense and form the image of a Fierce Beast. Its strikes were incredibly ferocious and possessed immense killing power.

Moreover, depending on the Cultivator’s state of mind, their Cultivation Technique, and even personal preference, the manifested Fierce Beast would vary. Of course, as long as one’s Cultivation and mastery of the Sword Technique were comparable, the power would be roughly the same regardless of the Fierce Beast’s appearance.

She had already taught this Profound Evil Sword to her junior martial nephew a month ago. And once Mu Xiaoyu had successfully cultivated eight Sword Lights, she had met the requirements to begin learning it. However, ever since Li Yinsheng passed it down to her, she had yet to master it.

Therefore, hearing her martial uncle ask about it now, Mu Xiaoyu immediately tensed up. Her forehead, already slick with sweat from her practice, broke out into an even colder sweat.

”Martial Uncle, I... I’m still working hard on it!” Mu Xiaoyu said earnestly, tightly gripping the hem of her clothes.

”The Profound Evil Sword itself isn’t particularly difficult or easy. It simply requires a large amount of Sword Light as a foundation, so the threshold is quite high,” Junior Martial Uncle Jiang said calmly. ”With your foundation of eight Sword Lights, you should be able to reach the Beginner level.”

Mu Xiaoyu grew even more nervous. Meeting her martial uncle’s placid eyes, she felt as though her heart was going to pound right out of her chest.

”However, you are just starting to learn it and lack actual combat experience, so it’s understandable that you haven’t yet reached the Beginner level,” Junior Martial Uncle Jiang said softly. ”For now, you should still focus your energy on the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword. Once you have a sufficient amount of Sword Light as a foundation, the Profound Evil Sword won’t be too difficult.”

Seeing that her martial uncle had no intention of further reprimanding or punishing her, Mu Xiaoyu immediately heaved a sigh of relief and nodded repeatedly.

Junior Martial Uncle Jiang was not only more beautiful than all the teachers she had ever had combined, but also more terrifying than all of them combined. Even though her martial uncle never scolded her or slapped her palms with a ruler, she still made Mu Xiaoyu tremble with fear.

”Boohoo... Senior Martial Brother, I was wrong,” she cried inwardly. ”I’ll never secretly call you fierce again! Please come back! I’d rather have you supervise me!”

Sitting on the cushion, Mu Xiaoyu rubbed the hem of her clothes with her fingertips, feeling like crying but having no tears to shed.

When her senior martial brother came to find her early this morning, saying he had matters to attend to and couldn’t supervise her cultivation, she had cheered inwardly, thinking she finally had a chance to slack off. But when he brought their martial uncle over and smilingly informed her that she would be supervising her for the morning, Mu Xiaoyu had wanted to crouch down, hug his thighs, and beg him not to leave.

In truth, she absolutely loved being supervised by her senior martial brother!

When the brief rest period ended, Mu Xiaoyu didn’t even dare to wait for her martial uncle to remind her. With drooping shoulders, she proactively stood up and prepared to pick up the White Rainbow Sword to resume her practice.

A crystalline blue light suddenly flashed in the sky. As the blue light dissipated, Li Yinsheng descended on his Cold Bright Sword and landed squarely on the ground.

Mu Xiaoyu’s large eyes instantly lit up with hope. ”Senior Martial Brother is back! Does this mean Martial Uncle doesn’t have to keep supervising me?” she wondered.

”Junior Martial Uncle,” Li Yinsheng said, cupping his hands in greeting toward Junior Martial Uncle Jiang. ”I’ve returned. Everything is settled.”

Junior Martial Uncle Jiang nodded.

”Settled? What’s settled, Senior Martial Brother?” Mu Xiaoyu asked curiously from the side.

Li Yinsheng and Junior Martial Uncle Jiang exchanged a glance, a tacit agreement passing between them as neither spoke the truth. In their plan, they didn’t intend to outright tell Mu Xiaoyu that they were taking her to fight a demon to hone her practical combat skills and killer instinct. If she were prepared in advance and knew it was just a training exercise, her mindset would definitely be affected. Therefore, Li Yinsheng’s plan was to bring his junior martial sister near the demon, then make an excuse to leave and hide in the shadows, forcing her to face the demon alone. Only then would the results be optimal.

Their martial uncle strongly approved of this method as well. As for what excuse to use to bring her there, that was far too easy...

”What’s settled?” Li Yinsheng replied without changing his expression. ”Oh, you mean that. I went out today to look for medicinal herbs on the neighboring mountain.”

”Oh,” Mu Xiaoyu nodded. Medicinal herbs didn’t taste good, so she had no interest in them.

”However, I was a bit careless and didn’t bring all my herb-gathering tools, so I haven’t finished collecting them. I only came back to grab my things,” Li Yinsheng continued.

Mu Xiaoyu’s expression drastically changed. ”Doesn’t that mean Junior Martial Uncle Jiang will keep supervising me?” she thought in panic. But since her senior martial brother said he had to continue gathering herbs, she couldn’t immediately find a reason for him to stay.

Just as Mu Xiaoyu was descending into despair, she suddenly heard a voice that sounded like a heavenly chorus.

Li Yinsheng smiled. ”Then again, you’ve been practicing the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword and studying scriptures so diligently these past few days. It’s been a long time since you took a proper rest. How about you skip sword practice today and accompany me for a walk on the mountain to relax? What do you say? Do you want to go?”

Mu Xiaoyu froze. It took her about ten breaths of time to snap out of this pleasant surprise that had seemingly fallen from the sky. Then, terrified that Li Yinsheng might go back on his word, she sprinted straight toward him, shouting at the top of her lungs, ”I’ll go, I’ll go! Senior Martial Brother, I’ll go!”

Li Yinsheng nodded and lightly tapped his finger. ”Since we’re going out to relax, let’s take off your Quenching Essence Lock today so you can have fun.”

Charging right up to Li Yinsheng, Mu Xiaoyu suddenly felt her whole body loosen up. An indescribable lightness spread through all her limbs and bones. Because her body had suddenly become so light, she stumbled and crashed directly into Li Yinsheng’s chest.

Under the eaves of the main hall, Junior Martial Uncle Jiang slightly raised her eyebrows.

Having bumped into her senior martial brother, Mu Xiaoyu didn’t even care about the pain. She hurriedly took a few steps back, lifting her arms and then her legs, her face filled with absolute delight. Following that, she simply performed several backflips on the spot.

”My body feels so light! So comfortable!” she thought.

Over the past month and a half of cultivation, the Quenching Essence Lock on her body had been gradually adjusted to a weight of four hundred catties. Now that the four hundred catties of weight had suddenly vanished, Mu Xiaoyu felt as if she could fly.

Her gaze toward Li Yinsheng instantly brimmed with affection. Not only was he taking her out to relax, but he had even specially removed the Quenching Essence Lock... Mu Xiaoyu was so moved she was on the verge of tears.

”Oh, Senior Martial Brother! I’ll never secretly speak ill of you in my heart again!” she vowed to herself.
