Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 139. I’m So Jealous (3)

“What on earth are they doing?”

“I don’t know, are they fighting?”

“No, it doesn’t seem like that.”

“Then what on earth is this energy….”

Alex and his companions were waiting outside the door, fidgeting anxiously.

They had no idea what was going on inside, but it was clear that a terrifying energy was overflowing.

A huge energy was felt, so clearly that even they, whose senses were not very sharp, could feel it.

At that moment, one of the elves approached and said.

“Move aside.”

At that, Alex frowned and said.

“What do you mean?”

“We need to go inside. Something seems to be wrong.”

The elves also seemed to have felt that the atmosphere was strange.

But Alex did not move aside and said.

“This is a different story. Didn’t we also step aside because the two representatives said they would talk?”

It was indeed such a promise.

But the other party glanced at the inside of the door and said firmly.

“The situation is unusual. We need to check, so move aside.”

“What if I say no?”

Alex said, placing his hand on the sword at his waist.

At that, the other party clicked their tongue and said.

“Reckless.”

“……”

“If you are mistaking what you saw in the competition for our true skills, you will regret it.”

Alex gritted his teeth.

“Damn it, I know that too.”

‘Damn it, of all times, when the professors aren’t here….’

Alex was also a 4-star level swordsman.

When directly confronting someone, he could gauge whether the opponent was stronger or weaker than him.

However….

“Whether you are strong or not is not a reason for me to back down.”

Alex stood in front with a do-or-die resolve.

And next to him, Isabella, Gerard, and even Kalin all stood with their swords drawn.

They too were standing up with their swords drawn to fulfill their duty as seniors.

At that, the elf on the opposite side frowned and said.

“I have lived for hundreds of years, but I still cannot understand humans.”

“Then you must be slow-witted.”

“Yes. Perhaps….”

As he said that, he placed his hand on the knife at his waist.

“Anyway, you’ll have to move.”

As the opponent leaned forward slightly, Alex also tensed his body.

A touch-and-go situation that seemed like it would explode if touched.

But at that moment….

“Huh? What? Why is the atmosphere like this?”

The door behind them opened, and Patrick appeared.

At that, a bright smile appeared on the faces of the tense Alex and others.

“Patrick!”

“You bastard, why are you so…. so….”

“…What are you doing now?”

Their bright smiles immediately rotted away.

In fact, anyone would have reacted that way seeing the scene in front of them.

Right now, next to Patrick, Elione was linking arms with him affectionately, looking up at Patrick as if he were the most lovable thing in the world.

And a single word uttered with a dazed gaze.

“Mr. Patrick.”

That single word was unbearable to hear.

Kalin scratched his ear roughly and said.

“Senior, did I hear that correctly just now?”

“I think so.”

“Could it be that among elves, the word ‘Mr’ is a synonym for the word ‘nom’ that humans use?”

“I sincerely hope so, but that was in the continental common language just now. Damn it….”

“I feel dizzy.”

Gerard’s expression soured, and Isabella actually put her hand to her forehead and swayed.

In the midst of that tragic scene, Alex said.

“What on earth happened in there?”

It was a fact everyone wanted to know.

* * *

“To be honest, I didn’t know it would be this effective.”

“Fufufu. I didn’t know either. That it would be this ecstatic….”

“No, wait….”

“It was my first time having such an experience.”

“Don’t talk strangely.”

“I want to experience it again right now.”

“Just shut your mouth.”

Patrick hurriedly covered Elione’s mouth, which was full of misunderstanding with a dazed expression.

But by then, his companions’ expressions had already reached a stage of contempt beyond sourness.

“Don’t misunderstand. What I did in there was….”

Before Patrick could speak, Elione opened her mouth first.

She brought her hands to her cheeks and said shyly.

“You gave me a new life.”

“Wait, you shouldn’t say it like that.”

“It was my first time having such an ecstatic experience.”

“Are you doing this on purpose? Are you saying it like that on purpose?”

“Once you know something like this, you can’t go back to the past.”

“That’s why I’m telling you not to say it like that!”

The atmosphere rapidly froze.

The elves seemed greatly shocked, and Isabella took a step back from Patrick with a contemptuous expression.

The other companions looked at Patrick with expressions that were a mixture of bewilderment and envy.

Patrick was greatly flustered.

It was the first time he had been this flustered since being reborn.

If it were true, he wouldn’t feel so wronged.

He couldn’t be misunderstood like this.

“Seniors, you know me, right? Am I that kind of guy? Huh, think carefully. Am I that kind of guy?”

At Patrick’s excuse, his companions gathered together and whispered.

“Did you hear that? Did you hear that just now.”

“Did that bastard really think he had any credibility?”

“He has no conscience.”

“That’s what I’m saying!”

“No, but how on earth can that proud elf of the forest melt like that?”

Patrick shouted at his companions.

“I said no, you bastards!”

As Patrick went berserk, Kalin came up, put his arm around his shoulder, and said.

“Don’t worry, Patrick. I believe you.”

“Senior Kalin….”

Patrick was touched.

Yes.

He thought that at least one person would believe in his innocence….

“So next time we’re alone, teach me the secret… Kuwek!”

Kalin was kicked and sent flying to the corner of the room, crashing into it.

Only stone dust fell from below him, who was stuck to the wall as if crucified.

“I… sa… id… no…. you know!”

The killing intent in Patrick’s growl, with that tragic scene as a backdrop, was genuine.

But, you know.

No matter how you think about it….

“Would you believe it if you were me?”

“You’re going to take responsibility, right?”

“Trash. The shame of the kingdom.”

“The secret technique, please…. keuuk….”

In fact, it was a situation that no one would believe.

* * *

“Lady Elione.”

“What is it? Saion.”

“What happened to you? Did that human perhaps do something terrible to you?”

In fact, the elves’ bewilderment was greater than that of Alex and the others.

Wasn’t their superior and a proud member of the Elven Knights completely smitten with a single human?

It was enough to even suspect the involvement of malicious brainwashing or black magic.

However, not a trace of evil energy was felt from Elione’s body.

On the contrary, it was filled with an even clearer and purer energy than before.

‘How can this be?’

‘What on earth happened?’

To her companions who were making incomprehensible expressions, Elione said with a faint smile.

“That person gave me a new life.”

“……”

“And that new life will be the hope of our clan.”

“I don’t understand. What on earth are you talking about…. huh?”

Elione took out the branch of the World Tree from her bosom.

At that, the elves were greatly astonished.

“Heok?”

“No way.”

Unlike before, the branch of the World Tree was full of life force.

The branch was resilient, light green leaves had formed, and most importantly, at its tip….

“A… flower?”

“A flower of the World Tree?”

“No way….”

There, though small and modest, was a light pink flower bud.

Considering that the last time the World Tree bloomed was a thousand years ago, it was only natural for the elves to be astonished.

Elione said with eyes full of conviction.

“That person is the only hope and savior of our clan.”

Oh dear, that’s too bad for you.

* * *

“Huu, it’s been hectic.”

“Indeed it has.”

Professor Leyte and Professor Baroq, sitting opposite each other in the carriage, had tired yet pleasant smiles.

Recently, they had been spending very busy times.

The title of being professors at the academy that produced the Arcana champion had a much greater impact than they had thought.

Those who wanted to make a connection with Patrick somehow, and those who wanted to learn the teaching methods of the Atronia Kingdom’s academy.

Or even those who wanted to send their sons to study abroad….

Dozens of invitation letters flew in every day.

Professor Leyte smirked and thought.

‘It’s nothing compared to when I made it to the round of 16 back in the day.’

The memory was still vivid.

The numerous recruitment offers and marriage proposals that poured in for him when he had advanced to the round of 16 at the Arcana.

On top of that, when he returned to his home country, he received a commendation personally awarded by the king from the royal family.

It was truly the golden age of Justin Leyte.

Above all, the expression of Marquis Panola, who had a sour face in a corner when he was receiving his commendation, was a top-class digestive aid that made him feel refreshed every time he thought about it.

But the impact of winning was on a different level from back then.

He never thought that such favor would be poured on him, who was just an accompanying professor and not the winner himself.

“My, my, I never thought I would enjoy such luxury because of a student.”

At Professor Baroq’s words, Professor Leyte said with a smile.

“He is amazing. To be honest, we haven’t taught him anything.”

“In the first place, teaching that guy would be impossible even at the Empire’s academy.”

“That’s true.”

No matter how you thought about it, the existence of Patrick was too out of the ordinary.

How could you teach that monster?

He was cautious even to speak to him, for fear that his dignity as a professor would crumble if he rashly tried to guide him in something.

As he thought about that, he suddenly realized something.

“Eum, I should be careful with my words in front of Alex and the other kids.”

“As expected, will they be jealous?”

“To be honest, it would be strange if they weren’t.”

“Eum….”

“For us, we’re from a different generation and in the position of professors, so it’s fine, but from their perspective, he’s a fellow student and even a junior, isn’t he?”

“Eueum….”

“Apart from trusting the kids’ character, we should be careful. The other kids are also talented enough to lead the kingdom, so we should make sure they don’t feel a sense of inferiority.”

“That makes sense. In fact, the other kids also achieved good results this time.”

“Exactly.”

In fact, overshadowed by Patrick, the other students had also done their part.

They had broken the shame of the Atronia Kingdom, which had been winless for over a decade, and Alex and Isabella had shown quite impressive performances.

It was only natural for them to be upset if no one recognized them even after achieving good results.

“When we get back, let’s take care of the other kids first.”

“Yes. And let’s also warn Patrick not to get too arrogant.”

“That’s right. No matter how good his skills are, arrogance is a deadly poison to a young man.”

“It seems I’ll have to become the strict snake professor for the first time in a while.”

“Hahaha. Sometimes that’s necessary too. Isn’t it all for the students?”

“Of course.”

Having made that decision, the two professors planned to take measures to prevent Patrick from becoming any more arrogant as soon as they returned.

They certainly did, but….

* * *

“Keeeuh…. This is good. The aroma is amazing.”

Patrick exclaimed as he drank the clear liquor in the wine glass.

The finest elven wine, aged for over a hundred years.

Its value was hard to measure in money, and it was a treasure that even the kings of nations drank only on national joyous occasions.

Such liquor was refilled as soon as Patrick emptied his glass.

Elione, who was next to him, personally poured the elven wine to the brim and said.

“I am honored that you like it, Mr. Patrick.”

The finest liquor poured by the most beautiful woman.

To Patrick, who was enjoying a luxury unparalleled in the world, another elf approached and said.

“Mr. Patrick. Please try this.”

It was a small cookie.

Seeing the faint sheen, it seemed like a cookie soaked in honey.

“Let’s see….”

Patrick picked one up and put it in his mouth.

Then, before he could even chew, the cookie melted in his mouth, spreading a fantastic flavor.

“Oh, this is good. The subtle sweetness is exquisite.”

“I am glad that you like it.”

“What is this made of?”

“It is an elven cookie made by collecting the honey of maple flowers.”

“Heeh, I thought sweet things weren’t good as a side dish for alcohol, but this is just right. I like it.”

“Thank you. I will give it to you as a gift when you leave.”

“I’d like that. But weren’t these things supposed to be a gift for the royal family of the Magellan Kingdom?”

“It’s alright. It would be an honor for our clan if you would accept it, Mr. Patrick.”

“Well, if you insist, it would be rude to refuse, so I guess I’ll take it.”

“Thank you.”

Patrick tilted his glass again and then, upon discovering Professor Leyte with his mouth agape, raised his glass and said.

“Oh? Professor, you’re here?”

Seeing Patrick being served by beautiful elves and greeting him, Professor Leyte thought.

Originally, he was supposed to scold him harshly to prevent arrogance and conceit from nesting in Patrick’s heart.

However….

‘I’m so jealous.’

Yes.

To be honest, he was jealous of that.
