Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 123. What Will You Do for Me? (2)

It slid down.

The soft, red dress that had been enveloping April’s body slid down with a rustle, brushing against her skin as it fell.

And underneath the dress, April was wearing nothing.

She had just taken off the only piece of clothing she had on her body.

In other words, she was now naked.

She showed Patrick her form as it was when she was born, revealing her body without hiding a single thing.

But it seemed she wasn’t without embarrassment, as her gaze was turned slightly to the side.

April, with a slightly flushed face, spoke to Patrick in that state.

“Congratulations on becoming an adult.”

“……”

“Young Master?”

“…Oh? Oh. Right, thank you.”

“……”

“……”

Their gazes met awkwardly.

And Patrick spoke first.

“Is this, by any chance, that thing? The custom that sons of noble families have to go through when they become adults?”

“Yes. That is correct.”

April readily affirmed it.

And Patrick let out a sigh.

‘In this day and age, what kind of….’

In fact, this was something that happened from time to time.

A custom of noble society passed down secretly, if not openly.

When a man has his coming-of-age ceremony, a woman is given to him so that he may learn what sex is.

It wasn’t a formal procedure.

It was a kind of unspoken convention.

It was a custom that had been passed down for a very long time, and quite a few noble families still practiced it.

The ostensible pretext was that it was a form of sex education.

But its essence was a test to see whether the family heir had any problems as a man.

Outsiders might not understand, but in fact, it was a very important issue for nobles.

For nobles who had to continue the family line for generations, whether a man’s sexual function worked properly or not was a matter connected to the survival of the family.

That’s why quite a few noble families push a woman into their son’s room after his coming-of-age ceremony.

The partners varied.

A family maid, or a virgin from the fief, or perhaps a high-class courtesan?

And now, April had stepped forward to take on that role herself.

“Though I may be lacking, I will take on the role of being the Young Master’s partner.”

At April’s words, Patrick smiled bitterly and said.

“Even if I had had my coming-of-age ceremony at home, my father’s personality is such that he wouldn’t have pushed a woman on me.”

“……”

April flinched.

Certainly, that Baron Schneider would not have pushed a woman into his son’s room to check his sexual function.

But….

“It is fine. Even if the Baron had not ordered it, I would have offered everything of mine to the Young Master.”

April slowly walked and approached Patrick.

She sat sideways on his thigh.

Then, she wrapped her soft arms around his neck and brought her red lips to Patrick’s.

“Please enjoy yourself….”

Just before her faintly trembling lips, along with a sweet sigh, touched Patrick’s….

Poke.

Patrick’s finger pressed firmly against her forehead, stopping her.

And then….

Puuuuush.

He pushed her face away, moving April far from himself.

After completely pushing her away, Patrick said.

“Put on your clothes, April.”

“Young Master….”

“That’s an order.”

“……”

“Will you disobey?”

At Patrick’s serious voice, April stood up and got dressed.

Her appearance, with a disappointed expression after getting dressed, had a bewitching charm that could entice a man just by itself.

However, Patrick’s expression and voice did not waver at all.

“I’ve said it before, but you’re too extreme. If I told you to die, would you die?”

“Yes.”

“Right. You’re that kind of girl.”

Patrick sighed, covering half of his face with one hand as if he had a headache.

For April, Patrick’s existence was, in a word, absolute.

If he told her to die, she would die with a smile, and if he told her to fight, she would charge even if the opponent was a dragon.

To such a girl, offering her own body was nothing.

If there was one person she held to a standard comparable to Patrick, it would be….

“You know our mom thinks of you as a daughter, right?”

“…I know.”

For the first time, April’s expression soured.

If there was one more person in her who held a value comparable to Patrick, it was Patrick’s mother, Ava.

It was Patrick who had saved her, but it was Ava who had taken care of her diligently afterward and cherished her like her own daughter.

Patrick spoke to April.

“If I were to play with you here as a one-night toy, what do you think our mother would think?”

“That is….”

“Wouldn’t she be very sad? Would she be happy if you, whom she cherishes and loves like her own daughter, were treated as a one-night toy?”

“……”

April bit her lower lip hard.

Not a single word of Patrick’s was wrong.

The Ava she knew was certainly a person who would be like that.

Patrick said, as if giving advice.

“Cherish yourself a little more. Every time you do this, our mother’s heart breaks.”

“……”

At Patrick’s complaint, April thought for a moment and then said.

“I understand the Young Master’s words well. However, may I ask one thing?”

“What is it?”

“Objectively speaking, I believe that I, as a woman, possess an appearance that the majority of men desire.”

“Well, that’s true.”

It was an undeniable fact.

Beauty that could topple nations, beauty that shames the moon and makes flowers blush, beauty that makes fish sink and geese fall, a peerless beauty.

No matter what words you used, they would be insufficient.

How on earth could one explain it?

April was that beautiful.

April looked at Patrick with slightly moist eyes and said.

“Do you not feel the desire to hold me, Young Master? Please tell me only your heart, without considering the Lady’s position.”

“Well, it’s a fact that you’re beautiful. That’s an undeniable fact.”

“……”

“But you know, when you’ve accumulated as much training as I have, controlling instincts or desires is easy.”

April smiled bitterly as she looked at Patrick, who spoke with a shrug.

And she thought to herself.

‘As expected, the Young Master always surpasses my expectations.’

Looking at herself, who was objectively beautiful enough, she had thought.

Perhaps if she offered herself as a ‘woman,’ the Young Master’s heart would come to her?

With such a shallow thought, she had prepared for today, using the coming-of-age ceremony as an excuse to be held.

But Patrick, as if he had seen through April’s scheme, escaped it all too easily.

Inside April, her respect for Patrick grew even greater.

She bowed her head respectfully and said.

“Understood. Please rest well, Young Master.”

“Alright. You may go.”

And she went out the window and disappeared as if melting into the darkness.

And after some time had passed….

“Phew… that was a close call.”

A deep sigh escaped from the mouth of Patrick, who had collapsed, holding onto the window frame.

“Scary. The True Nine Yin Severed Meridians.”

Training be damned, he had barely held back.

It was really, really dangerous.

Of course, the mind and body of a master who has reached a high state are much stronger than those of an ordinary person.

Naturally, Patrick was the same.

But April’s beauty was so breathtaking that it pushed Patrick’s mind and body to the brink of collapse.

If April’s lips had really touched his own then, by now….

“Oof, I almost broke my promise.”

The reason Patrick hadn’t wavered at the temptation was because of a promise he had made with someone a very long time ago.

***

That was, well, on the way back from beating up some Unorthodox Alliance trash called the Blood Flame something-or-other who was running rampant somewhere in Mount Huang.

They had entered a cave to avoid a sudden downpour, and….

‘Beautiful.’

The moment he saw her wringing the water from her rain-soaked hair with both hands, a single word escaped the mouth of the Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon without him even realizing it.

[Suryeon.]

[What?]

[Will you marry me?]

[…What?]

He regretted it for a moment, but wasn’t it already a situation he couldn’t back out of?

Jin Cheon continued to blabber whatever came out of his mouth.

[Well, lately I’ve been thinking that I have to get married, and I was wondering who to marry?]

[So?]

[Let’s do it. …Marriage.]

[…….]

After a heavy silence, Dang Suryeon spoke.

[Why me?]

[No matter how much I thought about it, there was no one but you.]

[So why me?]

At a loss for words, the Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon raised his voice in a fit of temper and shouted.

[Ah! Let’s just get married. Can’t we? You and I could get married, right? Right? Aren’t I right?]

[Go die!]

A fist flew at him immediately.

He could have dodged it, but it didn’t seem right, so he took the hit.

A fist crafted from delicate hands landed squarely on the Radiant Dragon Great Master’s face.

But the fallen Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon jumped back up again.

In his life, there was no surrender or retreat.

There was only moving forward.

[Let’s get married. I’ll love only you until the day I die.]

[Just die!]

After that, he persistently clung to her and eventually made her accept the marriage.

***

“She was a good woman. A woman who was too good for me in many ways. She came in as the wife of a poor sect’s great disciple and managed the household well. She was good to Master. She also disciplined the junior disciples well….”

The Divine Doctor Saintess Dang Suryeon.

Even if she was a daughter cast out by the Sichuan Tang Clan, if she had set her mind to it, she could have found a much better marriage prospect than him.

Still, she came to marry him.

And the Patrick of his previous life had vowed to her.

That he would love only her until the day he died.

“The great Radiant Dragon Great Master has his pride. I have to keep my promise, don’t I? Right, wife.”

Looking at the moon in the sky, the face of his wife from his past life came to mind.

Still a beautiful face.

That smile was giving him a gentle smile.

Seeing that smile….

“Huh? Wait, I died once, didn’t I?”

A forgotten loophole in the promise came to mind.

Certainly, the Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon had said that he would love only her ‘until he died’.

And he kept that promise.

Until he died at the Falling Phoenix Sect, he had lived looking only at her.

That meant….

“Am I free now?”

Realizing that fact, Patrick clutched his head and sat down, saying.

“Damn it, why did I do that? Why? Whyyyy! You idiot! Die! Stick your head in a bowl of water and die!”

After berating and screaming at himself like that, Patrick eventually grabbed the window and shouted loudly.

“April, come back! Let’s start over from the beginning!”

The face of the Divine Doctor Saintess Dang Suryeon was still reflected on the moon in the sky.

With an expression of utter emptiness and pity.

***

The day of the third round.

The Arcana was now in its middle stages.

Fourteen contestants remained.

All of them were talented individuals with excellent skills who could be treated as talents wherever they went.

Including the Paladin who was now up against Patrick.

“Oh, Yupinel! Look down upon your servant!”

As he held his bastard sword in front of his chest and shouted, a golden divine power erupted from his entire body.

That energy was a sacred light that repelled evil.

It made the Paladin’s durability even stronger and boosted his stamina and recovery.

At that level, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him a large-sized monster clad in divinity.

But…

“Where does this bastard get the audacity to spew out demon-slaying energy like that? Huh? Am I from the Unorthodox Alliance? Am I a demon?”

Patrick, completely unfazed by the golden energy trying to push him back, walked forward step by step with composure.

“Wh… what….”

Naturally, the opponent was flustered.

Approaching him now, while he was emitting divine power at full strength, was like swimming up a waterfall.

Regardless of whether it was possible or not, shouldn’t he at least show some signs of struggle?

But his opponent was walking towards him with such composure.

It was useless no matter how strongly he emitted his divine power.

“How can this be….”

Seeing Patrick arrive right in front of him, the Paladin had an expression of disbelief.

At that, Patrick looked at him as if he were pathetic and said.

“Are you an idiot? You just need to yield to the demon-slaying energy instead of resisting it, so why are you struggling like you’re about to die?”

“Yield? What kind of nonsense is that….”

“Tsk tsk tsk, you don’t know? You don’t understand?”

“……”

The opponent nodded.

What Patrick had just said was something he had never even considered before.

At that, Patrick said….

“Well, then just take a beating.”

“Wha… keuheuk!”

Claaaang!

Patrick’s twin swords, still in their scabbards, fell upon the opponent’s head.

The opponent raised his shield to block the attack, but he trembled at the powerful blow that made his arm throb.

‘To receive such an impact while clad in divine power. No, perhaps divine power itself doesn’t work on this man….’

“Thinking about something else?”

“Hup!?”

“Focus, you bastard!”

And Patrick’s twin swords danced brilliantly, beginning to shatter his opponent.

Neil Bauer, the representative of the Holy Theocracy.

He desperately moved his shield, focusing on defense.

Even if the pressure from his divine power didn’t work on his opponent, the authority that strengthened his stamina and durability remained.

“Hoooh… you’re confident in your toughness, is that it?”

“My… my defense is not so easily….”

“What can you do? I’m confident in my beating skills.”

“……”

“Good. A contest to see who can take a beating well, and who can dish it out well!”

“……”

He didn’t want to have such a contest.

Unfortunately, Neil had no choice.

Thwack thwack thwack thwack! Bam! Boom! Crack!
