Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 565: Chapter 273: Out-of-Control Realm of Reason (Part 2)

But if the other party learns everything and chooses to plunder the benefits amidst the chaos, the harm caused by his ability will be incalculable.

At that time, he will have to bear the responsibility.

Xu Dejun was silent for a moment, the hesitation in his eyes faded, becoming firm.

He looked at Wu Chang and said, ”How much do you know about the Realm of Reason, the Pillar of the Present World, and the World Dungeon?”

Wu Chang replied, ”Let’s assume I know nothing, start from the basics.”

As Xu Dejun explained, the fragmented information Wu Chang had previously gathered was linked together.

Everything starts with the core mechanism of the Abyssal Game, as the name suggests, the game connects to a bottomless Abyss.

It is not a gift from God; every bit of Power obtained from the Abyssal Game has a price behind it.

Whether the target is an individual player or Blue Star, which is connected to the Abyssal Game.

For Blue Star, the impact is Abyssal erosion, out-of-control dungeons will become Erosion Dungeons, and the breath of erosion will accumulate on Blue Star, spawning Wild Transcendents.

For individuals, the Abyss will similarly erode the players’ minds, subtly making players extreme.

The longer they stay in the Abyssal Game, the more dungeons they experience, and the stronger the players become, the greater the impact.

Especially when they enter the True Dungeon, the pollution value in the True Dungeon itself represents the Abyss’ erosion on the current dungeon, and the pollution value will make players become more extreme, more controlled by instincts.

Wu Chang nodded slightly, no wonder he saw many grievances in the dungeons, the causes of death for the owners of grievances were unnecessary adventures or suicidal actions.

The players who can enter the True Dungeon are all experienced veteran players, such low-level judgment errors shouldn’t occur.

With Xu Dejun’s description, it now matches up.

The reason behind those players’ suicidal actions is their rich experience.

The long-term Abyssal Game has accumulated a large amount of Abyssal erosion in them, usually, they can suppress it with Will in Projection Dungeons or reality, but when they enter True Dungeons, especially those on the brink of losing control, the Abyssal erosion within them will go out of control, impacting their Will, making them go crazy and extreme.

The more the players go crazy and extreme, the easier they die in the extremely difficult True Dungeons, and after these veteran players die in the dungeons, their Abyssal erosion will escape from their bodies and integrate into the dungeon, worsening the dungeon’s pollution value.

The continuous reverse cycle leads to high-pollution True Dungeons sliding towards out-of-control dungeons if there are no well-trained Breakers to intervene.

Seeing Wu Chang could understand, Xu Dejun continued.

Desolate Realm players can suppress Abyssal erosion outside the True Dungeon, not because their erosion level is low or their Will strong enough, but because the world they stay in most of the time is ”clean” enough.

Both the real world and the Crimson Courtyard’s area in the Desolate Realm are considered safety zones, where Abyssal erosion is extremely thin, and the stable environment gives players plenty of time to breathe and adjust themselves.

The Crimson Courtyard’s area in the Desolate Realm is clean enough, which is not hard to understand, because the system settings of the Abyssal Game set this place as a safety zone.

But the Abyssal Game has been on for over twenty years, during which time dungeons have continuously gone out of control, eroding reality.

Even if each Erosion Dungeon’s impact on the real world isn’t significant, the accumulation over twenty years should have raised the real world’s Abyssal erosion level.

Why is the real world so clean?

Faced with Xu Dejun’s question, Wu Chang showed a contemplative look.

When at the Underwater Ruins of Night Island, the All-Knowing Crystal told him the real world would be affected by Abyssal erosion, he thought about this issue at that time.

According to the All-Knowing Crystal, the real world is still in the early stages of Abyssal erosion, this mild level of erosion is far below his expectations.

In the real world, the frequency at which Erosion Dungeons appear is not low, the Management Bureau has conducted statistics, and the number of Erosion Dungeons appearing worldwide each month is not less than forty, with an annual total of not less than five hundred.

The low frequency of Erosion Dungeons occurs only in areas managed by the Four Major Organizations, and this ”low” is piled up with the lives of Breakers.

In the border areas of the Four Major Organizations’ management zones and regions far from their control, Erosion Dungeons appear very frequently.

For instance, in places like the Hot Sand Continent, Rainforest Continent, Island Ocean Continent, and Petroleum Bay, they lack temporary management authority and only realize it’s a danger zone when an Erosion Dungeon appears.

Facing Erosion Dungeons, they either spend a lot of money hiring intervening rogue players or high-level players from the Four Major Organizations for a breakthrough, or they pile up with the lives of local players.

Some smaller nations, with few players and insufficient strength, unable to afford to hire high-level players, can only demarcate alert zones and let Erosion Dungeons develop freely.

Until the Erosion Dungeons grow to a point that affects the Four Major Organizations’ control over reality, they would reluctantly join forces to manage, ensuring not one side makes a profit, and no one suffers a loss.

This method of handling results in many civilian and player casualties, as well as serious Abyssal erosion.

With them dragging down, even if the Four Major Organizations strive within their control areas, Blue Star’s Abyssal erosion level should not be low.
