Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 5365: Chapter 5366: No Way Out

The staff member’s jawline was taut as he spoke. He had been working in Molaban for four years, the same four years when hostile drug cartels in Molaban experienced explosive growth. The sitting president had hoped to take advantage of the infighting among these cartels by deploying the army to the border to strike against the drug cartels, but instead of achieving the desired effect, it only added fuel to the fire, causing civilians to continuously lose their lives in the conflicts.

They didn’t clash directly with Molaban’s army but employed other brutal methods to counteract Molaban’s military force, making the president recognize the difficulty and back off, interfering less with the matters between the drug cartels.

By the second half of last year, whether it was an agreement among the various drug cartels, they shifted their internal war to focus specifically on combating the government, plunging Molaban once again into panic.

These drug dealers were ruthless. As long as they believed someone was detrimental to their interests, they would not give them a chance to explain and would kill them without a second word.

This was why the staff member repeatedly reminded Xia Jinyuan and his team to be cautious about their safety.

Once Cyril discovered even a hint that his underground factory had been tampered with, he would retaliate like a madman, marking all suspects for death. With just a bit of knowledge, it would surely lead to another bout of bloodshed.

And the police on that side were simply not going to intervene, or rather, they preferred to see this kind of infighting, leveraging the discord between drug dealers to defeat one side, which undoubtedly relieved the police of one more cancer. Therefore, the police were naturally happy to see such situations unfold.

”Your identities are special now, having entered Molaban through illegal means. Once discovered by Cyril, you’ll face a dire situation with no way back and no support ahead. Even if our own country knows you are in danger, they can’t send support. And on our end...”

The staff member, a former scout from the country’s Special Forces, knew the identity of the young man he was speaking with. They were here under identities equivalent to ”Death Soldiers.” In the end, they could not reveal their identities, even if they were once covered in glory. The dead among them were merely illegal mercenaries.

The Molaban police would never confront Cyril’s drug cartel for an illegal mercenary.

The grim-faced Xia Jinyuan responded, ”Alright, we’ll be careful. If you hear anything about Cyril’s movements on your end, I hope you can inform us in time.”

Facing a powerful drug cartel that not even a country’s police dare confront head-on, the eight of them were naturally even more cautious.

That’s why he planned to divert Cyril’s attention towards Noah.

”Furthermore...” the staff member’s vehicle rolled over several speed bumps, pausing his speech momentarily until the vehicle resumed stable progress, then he continued, ”The scientist under house arrest specializes in nuclear energy research. Now, not only does our country know about this, but several terrorist organizations internationally are aware as well.”

Xia Jinyuan’s eyes suddenly darkened, ”How did the terrorist organizations come to know? When did this happen?” There had been contact with the country the previous night, but no such serious news was conveyed. Could it be...

”I only found out when I came here. This news must have spread last night or this morning. Now, not only do we need to find the scientist, but more and more terrorist organizations and hostile forces are also getting involved in this struggle.”
