Ye Jian laughed so much her stomach hurt as she sat in a wheelchair, feeling it as a stain on his life.

Because, nearly every comrade from the Snow Region Brigade had been hospitalized, but none had ever left the hospital in a wheelchair as T6 did, which is why T6 “hated it to the bone.”

Hold on, comrade!

When bearing humiliation and burden, one must endure, never to fall short at the last moment.

Pushing the wheelchair, Xia Jinyuan’s forehead veins nearly burst from holding back his anger. Just as they exited the hospital building, there was a downward slope. As T6 kept complaining about smashing the wheelchair, an increasingly intolerant Xia Jinyuan coldly threatened, “If you keep spouting nonsense, I’ll let you slide down this path right now.”

After saying that, he really let go.

The wheelchair truly started to slide forward, and T6 shouted loudly. Xia Jinyuan quickly grabbed the wheelchair’s armrest. With such a “threat,” T6 finally kept quiet and said no more.

Meanwhile, K7, fiddling with medication, walked alongside, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.

Upon leaving the hospital, they immediately hailed a taxi. Mr. Will, who had delivered half of the payment that morning, knew of T6’s discharge in the afternoon and promptly offered to have a special car pick him up, but Xia Jinyuan declined.

The group of four took just one taxi directly to the hotel.

The cab driver was a very talkative man from Molaban. As the car passed a street, he looked around and chatted with the passengers, “You guys are tourists, right? You should be a little careful around here. There’s a powerful person in this area; his factory was sabotaged, and now his people are everywhere.”

“There was a shootout just this noon, and it was on the outskirts. It has made everyone very cautious and worried about troubles.”

Continuing, the driver sighed deeply, “In our country, drug prohibition is truly challenging. They dare to kill even the police and the mayor; our government simply cannot stop them.”

After speaking, he suddenly turned his head to look at the passengers who just boarded the car, only giving an address and speaking simple English about their destination, then shrugged and chuckled to himself, “You probably didn’t understand a word I just said, heh, I dare to speak only in front of you.”

T6 grinned, sorry brother, he understood it all.

Thus, he translated it into English for his comrades in the car. Ye Jian was silent for a while before speaking up in English, “In countries where drug prohibition is difficult, they are also those where the most citizens are murdered by drug dealers.”

“Walking on the street, anyone could be shot in the head. Entering a supermarket, you might suddenly experience a knife piercing through your back and chest, and some are even more brutal — their heads are chopped off, wrapped in white plastic, and hung at the doors of the victims’ houses.”

“Talking about drug prohibition in Molaban is akin to making a date with death.”

This country is swamped with drugs and firearms. Some public officials even exploit their positions to ease the way for drug dealers and even act as informers. Anytime there is an anti-drug operation, the drug dealers are immediately informed. Their madness runs so deep that they devise plans within plans, reversing the situation to ultimately gun down the very police who came to enforce the drug laws.

The malign power in Molaban has reached such heights that those who dare to speak about drug prohibition can easily be killed.

When the car arrived at the hotel, the sun had completely withdrawn its last rays, with dusk thickening, casting a grayish-blue glow over the city that was about to embrace the night.

The hotel was luxurious, with expensive crystal lamps emitting dazzling light, making the whole lobby glittering and radiant. Yet, the hotel wasn’t very large, certainly not comparable to the ultra-five-star hotels back in their home country, consisting of a four-story lobby and club at the front, and a hotel garden at the back. The semi-circular hotel enveloped the garden, complemented by the garden at the front, rendering the entire hotel’s design a circular layout.

It was also a layout very convenient for surveillance.
