Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4836: Restricted Area

It was 10: pm when Ye Jian and the rest entered the military area. The sentinels at the first line of defense saw headlights coming from afar. A total of six sentinels on both sides took their guns and entered combat preparations.

The infrared surveillance cameras hidden on both sides had already scanned the moving vehicle. The image information was inputted, allowing the sentinels to know how many people were in the vehicle.

The car arrived. The sentinel, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, raised his hand and signaled the car to stop by the side to cooperate with their routine inspection.

This was a military area. It was also the first sentry post that all vehicles entering the restricted area had to stop at.

Mr. Fu passed by here during the day.

One sentinel checked their identification documents while another sentinel held a gun and stood guard. Everyone in the car got off, including Mr. Fu, who had the military rank of a major general.

They saluted each other. The sentinel first checked Mr. Fu’s identification document and confirmed that there were no mistakes before handing it back. Then, he saluted to show his respect for the chief.

Mr. Fu took the document and returned the greeting. He smiled and said, “Thank you for your hard work, comrade.”

“Thank you for your concern, Chief. It’s not hard. It’s what I should do!” the young sentinel replied energetically. His voice was intimidating.

They checked the identification documents of the soldiers, Xia Jinyuan and Ye Jian, one by one. Then, they checked the Jeep. After confirming that there were no problems, the sentinel put down his gun. He held his rifle in front of his chest and stood at attention. He turned his body and made way.

The car passed through the first sentry post. Mr. Fu smiled at Ye Jian, who had just woken up before getting out of the car. “This is a military-controlled area. Outsiders and foreign vehicles can still pass through. Another 40 kilometers is a military restricted area. All foreign vehicles and outsiders are prohibited from entering. The deeper you go, the stricter it is.”

The base was deep inside. They had to be strict.

Xia Jinyuan smiled and said, “A few years ago, we entered the Northwest for training. The base you’re at is close to our restricted area. The safe area is 50 kilometers away from the base. Once you enter within 50 kilometers of the base, you might face the risk of being killed directly.”

“That’s right. It’s still the same. Although the unit you’re heading to are mainly in charge of guarding and patrolling the base, they’re also prohibited from entering within ten kilometers of the base without any arrangements.”

Ye Jian sighed. “That’s why I won’t be able to see you even if you’re only 30 kilometers away from me.”

“Hahaha, let’s change the topic.” Mr. Fu laughed and changed the topic to Xia Jinyuan. “Do you often change places for training? Where have you gone for training?”

“Uncle Fu, you should ask if there are any other places I haven’t been to.” Xia Jinyuan naturally accepted his future father-in-law’s request for help. Soon, they changed the topic to Ye Jian’s training.

With the headlights on, the Jeep followed the curved road through the rolling desert mountains and continued moving forward.

The stars in the sky were resplendent. A silver river crossed the sky. The Big Dipper, which was like a spoon, had always been in front of the car. From the beginning of time to the present, it had seen countless beacons in the world and experienced the vicissitudes of life.

At the capital city’s international airport, a young lady dressed in dignified and professional clothes was holding the boarding pass for a business trip. She walked hurriedly in her high heels as if she was chasing someone.

In front of the woman was a tall figure. He was at least 1.8 meters tall and was wearing a light gray suit that outlined his excellent figure.

He had broad shoulders, narrow hips, and long legs. His proportions seemed to be blessed by the heavens. Even though the woman didn’t get a look at his face, his back view was enough to make her gaze linger.
