Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4810: Cousins

Unexpectedly, a phone call made Commander Dong change his mind. Commander Xia, who was still listening, said, “The sea, land, and air are all in our country. There’s no distinction between these.

“Although the navy is still in progress and their equipment is indeed behind the army, I believe that things will only get better in the future. More and more female soldiers like Ye Jian will choose to go to the sea and become glorious female soldiers!”

Commander Dong nodded happily. “What you said is what I think too. Please forgive me for disturbing you today. It’s getting late. I won’t disturb you anymore.”

Since there was no hope, there was no need to cause any more trouble. He might as well leave early.

Thinking that there was still a group of generals in the conference room who hadn’t left, Commander Xia didn’t stay any longer. After sending Commander Dong off, he returned to the conference room. The generals from the three military districts looked at Commander Xia.

Far away in Xiang City, Ye Jian was on the phone with her cousin, Li Jinnian. She wasn’t aware of what was taking place in the military because of her.

The cousins hadn’t contacted each other for a long time. However, they were both reserved people. Even if they had endless topics to talk about, they wouldn’t talk for long. They just needed to talk about important things.

Li Jinnian was most concerned about Ye Jian’s injuries. As for how and where she was injured, as a soldier, Li Jinnian restrained himself from asking anything he shouldn’t.

After recuperating for five days, the fine scratches and scabs on Ye Jian’s back started to fall off. Those that were more serious would fall off in a few days.

“There are two wounds on the back of my waist. The gun wound on my shoulder is slightly more serious. The rest are not a big problem. I’ve been recuperating for five days. Also, Captain Xia is taking good care of me. Cousin, don’t worry. I’m fine.”

Ye Jian didn’t hide anything. Since her cousin knew from Captain Xia that she was hospitalized after getting injured in a mission, she couldn’t hide anything even if she wanted to. She might as well tell him the truth so that her cousin wouldn’t worry.

Li Jinnian heard Ye Jian’s voice that showed no sign of tiredness. Although he couldn’t see her with his own eyes, he could tell that her condition was not bad from her voice. There was no need to worry too much.

It was not uncommon for special forces soldiers to be hospitalized for injuries. Hospitalization for serious injuries was not unavoidable because of the high professional risk.

Li Jinnian, who had a cold expression on his face, said in a low voice, “If you’re seriously injured, it’ll leave behind old illnesses. It might even be fatal. I hope you can return safely from every mission without a bullet hole.

“In solo combat, you have to prioritize your own safety first. Only then can you complete your mission better. I hope you can remember that we don’t even have the right to be seriously injured! That’s because we have to live well and fight the next combat.”

They didn’t even have the right to be seriously injured… Ye Jian felt like a heavy rock had fallen on her heart. Her gaze turned cold as she humbly accepted his advice. “Cousin, I understand!”

“Yes, take care of yourself. Don’t let those who care about you worry. Also, I heard from Xia Jinyuan that the military is considering having you lead a new company alone. I have a suggestion. If you agree, discuss it with Xia Jinyuan before raising it to the military.

“Only you have the right to choose. If it were anyone else, the military would only need a transfer order. They wouldn’t give you the right to choose at all.

“They’re giving you the right to choose because they value you. Cherish yourself and take care of yourself. Don’t let the military down.”

Although Li Jinnian loved Ye Jian very much, he and Xia Jinyuan were the same kind of people. No matter how much they loved her, they wouldn’t be blinded because of it.
