Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4824: Kneeling

With an expression that said ‘I won’t believe it even if you beat me to death’, Lieutenant Colonel Xia twisted his neck mechanically. It was as if there was thick rust on it. Then, he saw his future father-in-law grabbing the fence with both hands and saying happily, “Jian!”

There was no mistake!

It was his future father-in-law!

Why was he here too?

Lieutenant Colonel Xia’s expression collapsed. It was impossible for him not to greet them now!

Hence, when Mr. Fu saw the young brat who would snatch his precious daughter away in a few years standing in front of him like a pillar, he found him an eyesore and wanted to chase him away.

When the future son-in-law saw that his future father-in-law was also here, he was anxious. He hoped that his future father-in-law would be magnanimous and not cause any problems.

The future father-in-law was furious when he saw that his future son-in-law was here too. He expressed that he really wanted to chase him away now and regretted not bringing a few more soldiers to chase him away!

“Hello, Uncle Fu.”

Although his heart was in turmoil, Xia Jinyuan still maintained his elegance and manners on the surface. He greeted Mr. Fu, who was an elder, with good manners.

No matter how much Mr. Fu felt that the boy in front of him was an eyesore, he had to admit that the boy in front of him was unique among the youths he had seen.

In addition, the young brat was very polite. When he smiled, it revealed his upbringing and his inner qualities. Mr. Fu could only suppress his anger.

However, Mr. Fu couldn’t be nice to a young brat who would snatch his precious daughter away in a few years.

His expression didn’t change. He put on the serious expression he usually had when he was working. He nodded slightly and said in a gentler voice, “It’s been a long time since we last met. You look much more energetic. Are you on leave? From where did you rush over to pick up Jian?”

They were both here to pick up Ye Jian. He mainly wanted to see where he came from.

“I rushed over from the military unit. I’ll be an instructor in the same unit as Ye Jian.”

If he resisted, the other party would be strict. If he confessed, the other party would be lenient. Instead of hiding it, it was better to tell the truth. Xia Jinyuan replied openly, making Mr. Fu’s heart ache.

“What’s the arrangement?” Mr. Fu’s voice turned cold.

Xia Jinyuan’s eyebrows twitched. He maintained his smile and replied calmly, “I only found out about it at the last minute yesterday. I’ll tell you the details after we get into the car. It has something to do with some unpleasant things that happened on your side some time ago. That’s why such an arrangement was made.”

“There’s no need to say anything else. Let’s talk in the car.”

At the mention of what happened some time ago, there was a sharp look in Mr. Fu’s eyes. If it weren’t for the guard company’s ability, something big would have happened!

It wasn’t an ordinary matter. It was something that concerned the military of the country!

Mr. Fu immediately stopped talking. His expression softened. “Thank you for coming all the way here.”

“It’s no problem. This is my responsibility.” Xia Jinyuan heaved a sigh of relief secretly and smiled. He had passed the test successfully. His future father-in-law wouldn’t make things difficult for him anymore, right?

“You and Jian will report to the same unit. Will you go for training together?” Before Ye Jian came out, Mr. Fu grabbed the chance to probe.

Although the young brat’s character was trustworthy, as Ye Jian’s father, he was still worried.

Xia Jinyuan replied without thinking, “We won’t be training together as we have different directions in leading the team. But there should be some exchanges and sparring later.”

If they didn’t train together, they wouldn’t see each other every day. If they didn’t see each other every day, the young brat wouldn’t be able to take advantage of his daughter. Mr. Fu felt at ease.
