Death… And Me

Chapter 3783: Level Three!

As soon as Xian said that, an enormous Dark Cloud appeared in the distance. It was at least ten times bigger than the Dark Cloud Forms the Level Two umbras could take. Neither Rean nor Roan tried to flee, though. ”Xian, how did it find us?”

Xian answered straight away. ”It’s the first time I’m feeling this. For some reason, that Umbra can sense me, and I can also sense him. I don’t know how it works. Perhaps that is some innate ability of high-level Umbras.”

Roan nodded slightly, asking something else. ”So, who was found? Only you? Or the three of us?”

Indeed. If that Umbra couldn’t feel the twins’ presence, they could use Xian as bait and sneak an attack. However...

*Kabrumm!*

Two arcs of Dark Lightning, carrying the full major Laws of Lightning, aimed straight at Rean and Roan, who were slightly separated from each other. Without another choice, they could only summon their Elemental Intent Weapons to defend.

*Bzzz!*

*Boom!*

Red Lightning against Dark Lightning. Both collided, causing an explosion of energy and elements. If there was any doubt before, now it was almost certain. The Umbra definitely could feel their presence too... Or maybe he can feel Xian’s two parts, since each half is covering one of the twins.

Regardless of which one was the right answer, they couldn’t hide anymore. The collision of both Lightnings revealed the twins, so they had to take it seriously.

The Dark Cloud arrived in a second as a voice echoed from it. ”Living Beings? I was curious about why there was a Level One Umbra here. To think I would see Living Beings in a place like this.”

Roan had his scythe raised in the Umbra’s direction. ”Is that a problem? For your own good, you’d better pretend you didn’t see us and just leave.”

”Hahaha!” The Umbra laughed. ”Level Two and One Umbras can’t do it, but a Level Three like me is different. I can feel your cultivation. Space-Time Realm, uh? That is far from enough to demand such a thing. Besides, since you are here, perhaps you have a way out, which I would love to see. Anyway, I can ask your souls directly.”

The cloud spread, and the Dark Lightning began to rain down on the twins again. Even more, the Dark Lightning had Dark Fire around it as the Major Laws of fire followed.

On top of that, a Domain appeared, the first Domain that the twins had seen after entering the Umbral Field. The Domain was obviously focused on both Lightning and Fire, increasing those elemental powers.

Rean and Roan didn’t stay still, of course.

’Life World Domain!’

’Death World Domain!’

’Life Style, Enhancement!’

’Death Style, Shadow Air!’

Rean and Roan flashed in two different directions, trying to pincer the Cloud from both sides while dodging the Dark Lightning and Fire. As for their Domains, Roan’s one obviously began to corrupt the opponent’s Domain, while Rean’s nullified all of the enemy Domain’s effects to a great degree.

”What?!” The Umbra couldn’t help but feel shocked. He could see the twins’ cultivation, but their speed and abilities obviously far surpassed that level, not to mention he had never felt Domains like those two.

Rean and Roan appeared by the Umbra’s Cloud’s side in an instant, attacking without holding back.

’Red Death, Death Cross!’

’Red Death, Dragon Claws!’

Both attacks utilized Rean’s Light Element to create Bright Red Lightning, which targeted the enormous cloud. It goes without saying that Sky Energy was part of it, too.

The arcs of Red Lightning as the swords and scythes cut through!

*Arrgh!*

The Level Three Umbra felt it, but he wasn’t that easy to defeat. ”Don’t get overconfident, ants!”

The Dark Cloud, which was originally spread over a bigger area, suddenly compressed in an instant. The Shadow Energy inside became thicker than any other the twins had seen before. Of course, the twins didn’t stop their attacks and flew straight at it.

”Hmph!” The Umbra snorted, and the Dark Lightning and Fire, as well as the Major Laws of both, concentrated for a moment. Just as the twins got close, the Umbra attacked.

’Thunder Fire Calamity!’

*Boom!*

Using the Umbra himself as the epicenter, an enormous explosion of fire, lightning, and their laws followed. Spatial and Time Powers flowed through the Dark Fire and Lightning, attempting to slow the twins down and not let them escape the explosion’s range.

Space seemed to be about to break again, but the ancient runes appeared and prevented that from happening. Yet, that seemed to make the Umbra’s attack even more terrifying, as none of the energy of his attack broke through the fabric of space and escaped.

*Tsss...*

However, the Umbra was even more surprised to see what happened. Both Rean and Roan’s bodies disintegrated, but not because he killed them. Instead, those weren’t the twins’ real bodies, but the Mirage Assault Clones!

The Umbra’s sense immediately spread, and he found Rean and Roan in the next moment. The explosion just now made it hard to detect Xian’s presence, but it also made sure the twins couldn’t get close for an instant.

Of course, the twins still attacked as soon as the chaos settled a little bit. Rean and Roan bore through the aftermath of the Dark Lightning and Fire explosion, swinging their Scythes and Swords!

’Red Death and Life, Seventh Form, Crimson Sun and Moon Obliteration!’

It had been some time since they had used this attack, which utilized the Dark and Bright Red Lightning, opposite forces from the Light and Dark Elements within them. Both attacks arrived at the center in an instant, and the sheer power behind them made the Umbra’s soul tremble for a moment.

*Ziu!*

*BOOOMMM!!!*

Arcs of Dark and Bright Lightning burst out as the twins’ attack connected right where the Cloud was concentrated. They, too, used their Spatial and Time Powers to slow the Umbra Cloud down and prevent it from escaping. Two could play that game, after all. Also, they might be at the Space-Time Realm, but both Rean and Roan had comprehended the full Light and Dark Major Laws, so they didn’t lose to the Level Three Umbra at all.

The twins shot out of the explosion, stopping several hundred meters away. Yet, neither of them seemed pleased with the results. That’s because they could feel something new emanating from the Umbra’s location.

’Celestial Laws...’
