Death… And Me

Chapter 3733: Natural

”I will tell you if we meet face to face,” Kentucky said. Rean didn’t seem to like that tablet with a feather that the Minokawas were using to communicate.

”So?” Frife-Ni insisted. ”What about the rest?”

”We will meet right now!” Ratria didn’t think twice. She wanted nothing more than to see Kentucky up close, after all.

Ploto understood that, but he also understood their situation. ”If we leave our post now, the Demon Beasts-”

”I don’t care!” Ratria cut in. ”Don’t forget that the only reason we wanted to take over this Universe was so we could find a way back to our own. After all, Kentucky was there, and it was killing me not to know what was happening to him. Who cares about what will happen to this place?”

”Now, that’s a lie,” Frife-Ni said, surprisingly. ”Who are you trying to fool, Mom? I know very well you care a lot about many of the Demon Beasts here, especially those old hags from the Gertoad Race. Get a hold of yourself.”

”Don’t talk about them like that!” Ratria complained, but then noticed straight away. ”I...” Ratria went silent. Her kid nailed it. It’s just that Kentucky’s presence left her a little too excited.

”We can go see you if that’s the problem,” Roan spoke from there. ”First of all, we heard from Reliance about that reason of yours, and if your plan aligns with our own, we won’t mind giving you a hand.”

”Reliance... the timing matches perfectly.” Ratria and Ploto obviously knew him. He was the only guy other than themselves to have come from Lisan. ”It was thanks to him that we got a spy inside the clan recently. Could you have something to do with that as well?”

”We gave him a hand indeed,” Rean nodded.

Ploto and Ratria looked at each other and then back at Frife-Ni. ”Son, bring them to us. Use the same third channel to get here.”

Frife-Ni accepted that. ”Alright, but you better tell me everything when we get there. Also, Roan is a human, is it fine to bring him there? That might cause some confusion and raise suspicion.”

”So she said,” Rean commented. ”Can you change already?”

”Tch...” Immediately, Roan activated Rean’s Body Transformation Technique. His human shape now looked like a demon beast in humanoid form, just like Kentucky and Frife-Ni at the moment. Even his aura changed completely.

It goes without saying that Frife-Ni was amazed by what he saw. ”Just... how did you even do that?”

”It’s just a little technique I developed, nothing worth mentioning at all,” Rean half-explained.

”Your ass!” Of course, Frife-Ni didn’t accept it. ”If we had access to such a technique...”

”You can’t,” Roan cut in. ”To use this technique, your control over Light Element and especially your own body must be at a level none of you can reach.”

Kentucky sighed. The only reason he could use that technique was because he grew up with the twins and was also connected to the system. His Light Element Control was almost on par with Rean’s. ”I can tell you about it later, but you will definitely be wasting your time.”

Frife-Ni was satisfied enough. ”That’s for me to decide. Anyway, Mom, Dad, I will use the third channel. We should get there in three days.”

”Understood,” Ratria and Ploto nodded. ”We will let the guys know you are coming. They will bring you direct to us.”

Finally, the call ended with many questions still unanswered. ”Let’s not waste time. Come with me!”

Frife-Ni turned off the formation at the top of the rocky hill, and the Demon Beasts outside approached. ”Frife-Ni, how was it? Should we capture them?” They looked at Rean, Kentucky, and Roan... although Roan was completely different now. ”Is this...”

”Yes, it is the black haired human. As for whether you should kill them or not, the answer is no.” Frife-Ni had the situation under control there. ”I had them talk to my parents, and they confirmed all three of them can be trusted. In fact, these three know my parents personally. Galo-Pu, we will use the third channel to bring them there.”

Galo was the Peak Divinity Realm Minokawa. ”They know Ratria and Ploto? No, wait! How did this human change into a perfect demon beast? His aura is completely different! I can’t find a single clue with my Divine Sense!”

Frife-Ni waved his hand. ”To be more specific, he wasn’t a human to start with; he was a Demon Beast. He was pretending to be a human.” Frife-Ni told a little lie. ”As for how he can change, Ratria and Ploto won’t allow me to speak about it. Keep this between us, understood?”

Galo and the other two understood the importance of such a flawless disguising technique. They could literally send their Demon Beasts into the humanoid territories, and as long as their Werdlem IDs weren’t checked, they could pass for humans! Could it be another hidden card from Ploto and Ratria? No wonder they are in charge of the Demon Beasts in this war. ”Yes, we understand!”

Galo looked at the other two guys and the Void Tempering Realm subordinate down at the base of the hill. ”The three of you, go back to your posts. I’ll bring them over.”

”Got it!”

With that, only Galo, Frife-Ni, and the twins’ group remained.

Galo quickly opened a Spatial Gate, and they got inside. Just like before, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were forced to use that cloak that affects Divine Senses, too. As always, it was better to prevent problems than to fix them.

As Frife-Ni mentioned, it did take three days to get to Ratria-Ket and Ploto-Ume’s location. The first one to notice that was Sister Orb, who immediately detected the energy of a powerful formation.

[Wow... what do we have here? These runes, this energy... whatever is here is strong enough to blow up an entire continent of the Divine Realm. Hey, it is not a formation created by Formations Masters; it is a natural one! Oh, one more thing. The Werdlem Network signal doesn’t reach this place.]

Rean and Roan looked at each other. It had been a while since they saw a Natural Formation. They would never forget the Natural Formation that altered time on the Sunkan Planet.

”You can take the cloaks off,” Frife-Ni said.

With that, the trio were finally able to see ahead.
