Death… And Me

Chapter 3704: They Are Waiting For The Opportunity

Rean asked one more thing, just out of curiosity. ”By the way, where did that Universe Root Egg go?”

Rifindio pointed at himself. ”You remember how it merged into my body last time, don’t you? It appeared inside my Pocket Dimensional Realm and has been there ever since. She is quite a chatterbox... Wanna meet her?”

Roan stopped him right there. ”Sister Orb Number 2? No thanks. Instead, you are the Universe Owner now, right? How about arranging a lot of resources for us for free?”

Rifindio crossed his arms. ”After all those Spatial Rings from the Golden Palace, you are probably some of the richest in this entire Universe. Yet, you still want more?”

”It never hurts to have some surplus,” Rean also added. He obviously wouldn’t refuse it either.

”Get out of here! Rank F Universes are pretty poor, alright?” Rifindio didn’t relent, though.

Rean shrugged, and Roan didn’t insist. It was true, they didn’t really need Rifindio’s help at the moment. Except, perhaps for Starlight Energy, although they doubt they will find a source of Starlight Energy as good as the Astral Tree in this Universe.

”Oh, that reminds me.” Rean quickly changed the topic. ”What happened to Triaglia? Has she left already? And where exactly is she going? Victor said that if we manage to go to the same place, leaving the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble would be a lot simpler. Do you know what he meant?”

Rifindio shook his head in response. ”Believe it or not, I asked Master Victor exactly the same thing. When I arrived here in F956, I also asked Triaglia before she concluded the process of passing the reins of the Universe to me. Yet, both of them refused to answer, saying that it was still not time. I will only find out once I reach the Peak Stage of the Celestial Realm.”

”Does that mean you are in the Initial Stage?” Roan asked. He couldn’t feel Rifindio’s cultivation.

Rifindio quickly opened his cultivation so the twins’ group could see it. ”Exactly. I’m in the Initial Stage. This thing about the Golden Palace, I will only be allowed to take part, like Triaglia did, once I get to the Peak Stage. Until then, the palace will continue to open for the experts of our Universe, but the truth is that no one will be able to reach the Celestial Realm in there. Well, that Palace has a huge amount of opportunities, so it is still worth visiting for the experts of my Universe.”

”Only allowed to know at the Peak Stage...” Roan pondered a bit. ”You probably guessed it already, but it is likely related to the so-called God Realm.”

”I thought so too,” Rifindio thought about the questions he asked Victor. ”Still, Master Victor refused to comment. He did mention that as soon as I get to the Peak Stage, I can contact him or even get the answers I need in the Werdlem Network. My authority would be updated accordingly.”

”So be it.” Roan knew there was no point insisting. ”And Triaglia? Is she still around?”

Rifindio sighed a little, shaking his head, his mind seemingly going back to the past few days. ”She is not. I asked her to stay for a while longer. I mean, even though it was all part of the plan, she still was one of the few who treated me with some respect. I feel like I owe her somewhat.”

”Hum?” Rean got close to Rifindio, looking at his face closely. ”You... that wasn’t all, was it? Something happened after you met again here.”

Rifindio took a step back. ”I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Roan approached, his expression dark. ”Lying to me? Do you really think you have what it takes to escape my senses?”

Rifindio tried to get away even faster. ”Alright, you guys got what you needed. You can leav-”

”Oh! Little Camakawas!” Rean’s words suddenly echoed.

”How did y-” Rifindio spoke back almost by instinct, but he immediately understood he had fallen into a trap.

Rean smiled brightly, his white teeth in full view. ”So turns out you liked to be her plaything.”

”Shut up!” Rifindio shouted back, this time his Celestial Realm Power escaping. It put quite some pressure on Rean’s shoulders, but Rean didn’t seem to care.

”There is no reason to feel embarrassed. She is a Regal Demon Beast. You are a Regal Demon Beast from a very closely related race. It makes sense you would feel attracted to the woman.” Rean said.

”That explains why Rifindio showed no interest in all those females outside waiting for him,” Kentucky joined, having a lot of fun. ”I mean, how could they occupy a bigger place in Rifindio’s heart than a Regal Camazotz? Besides, Demon Beasts worship strength, and there is no other female Camazotz stronger than Triaglia, right? Being interested in her was just natural.”

Roan was disappointed, though. ”Tch... and here I thought he was hiding some important information.”

”It is important!” Rean put his arm around Rifindio’s shoulder.

”Exactly!” Kentucky did the same.

They could obviously see Rifindio holding back to not kill them right there and then, and yet, they were having a blast! Totally worth the danger!

”Can you just stop?” Rifindio’s expression suddenly turned cold. More of his power escaped, making the entire area tremble.

Rean and Kentucky quickly got away from him. ”Come on. There is no need to be that angry. It is a good thing!”

”Sigh...” Rifindio calmed down a little, thinking about the few days he had spent with Triaglia before she left. ”It is not that. It’s just...”

Roan seemed to understand. ”You overreacted when Rean said ’Little Camakawas’ just now. Is this related?”

”This...” Rifindio scratched the back of his head. ”Oh, fuck it. I probably won’t be able to talk about it with anyone else anyway, and since you are leaving the Universe, it won’t make a difference. We did... you know... have that kind of moment...”

Rean’s eyes lit up! ”Wait! There are truly Little Camakawas on the way?”𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

”I don’t know...” Rifindio shook his head while speaking. ”Before she left, she said she couldn’t lose this opportunity. My new bloodline is also at the Regal Level, so she wanted to give it a try. I don’t think there were any feelings there on her side.”

”Well, for her, it is actually a pretty common thing, right?” Roan suddenly commented. ”How old is she? How many Camazotz Bats had she given birth to? Many of the bats in the palace are her descendants, aren’t they? Of course, the majority is not, but quite a few are. In her head, this was more like an assurance. She wanted to bring her bloodline further, and you had the perfect DNA to propagate it.”

”You don’t need to be that cold...” Rean disapproved of Roan’s words. ”Rifindio, you didn’t confirm whether she was pregnant or not, right?”

”Errr... no?” Rifindio shook his head. ”I mean, it had been just a few days. It would be hard to confirm such a thing in such a small time after the deed.”

”Then most likely it ended there.” Kentucky knew what Rean wanted to say. ”Don’t forget. Divine Bloodlines have a very low reproduction rate. Even though you and she are Regal Bats, your children would still be Divine Demon Beasts. Anyway, Regal or Divine, it is just too hard to believe you hit the Jackpot in such a short time. Don’t worry, you shouldn’t have any little Divine Camakawas out there yet. I guarantee it.”

Kentucky then pointed to the door with a knowing smile. ”But if you feel like you want some, there are plenty of beauties just out there waiting for the opportunity.”

”Fuck off!” Rifindio pushed Kentucky away again. Yet, he did feel like a burden had been lifted from his shoulders. ’Yes, there is no way it turned out like that...’ he thought.

”Hahaha!” Rean and Kentucky laughed out loud.

Roan, on the other hand, didn’t want to take part in that anymore. ”Alright, let’s go. We have things to do.”

Kentucky then patted Rifindio on the shoulder. ”Well, this might be the last time I’m seeing you face to face, my disciple. We can still talk through the Werdlem Network, of course. Don’t disappoint me, and remember, always take a break, sleep, and go out to eat something. Have fun! Don’t turn out like that block of ice over there. It is not worth it. It is the same as being dead. Look at him, you can’t feel the least bit of life coming from his body. That thing is stone cold.”

Roan’s mouth twitched, but he held back there. ”I won’t even waste my time retorting.”

Rifindio took a deep breath and bowed to Kentucky. ”Master, I will hold to the belief that we will meet again, someday. Senior Roan, Rean, thank you for everything, too.”

Kentucky, Rean, and Roan accepted his gratitude. ”You’re welcome.”
