The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2496: Chapter 2496: Arson (Part 4)

Starting a fire isn’t that easy, especially in a place without many flammable materials. It’s best to have accelerants like tung oil, but apart from the Fire Starter, there’s nothing else available. What should we do?

To Qi Jingyun’s surprise, Gu Qingheng pulled out a small torch from his backpack.

”Is your backpack a treasure chest?” Qi Jingyun couldn’t help but comment.

”Pretty much.” Gu Qingheng nodded, ”Xinxin prepared all of this.”

Qi Jingyun suddenly felt like cursing. Was this a subtle way to show off his love? When he was leaving for the expedition, the women in his own residence seemed only to cry and wail, which was utterly annoying.

Gu Qingheng, oblivious to the thoughts of his romantic rival, the Prince, lit the torch and went on to ignite the wood from a table that had been split by the Flame. The table, made of sandalwood, gave off a pleasant aroma as it burned. Next were the window and chairs...

”The hall is on fire...” One of the cult members who noticed hurriedly shouted.

Then someone else shouted, ”The kitchen is on fire...”

”The guest room is on fire...”

After a series of shouts, the entire base was suddenly filled with thick smoke.

Everyone was drawn into fetching water to extinguish the fire.

”Weng Xin.” Over there, Yun Lan, seeing the cult members looking over, quickly grabbed Weng Xin, ”Follow me.”

Weng Xin didn’t resist and allowed himself to be led to a hidden spot.

”Where’s Chengzi?” Zhang Tiankuo, already waiting there, asked urgently.

Weng Xin shook his head, ”I don’t know. After we were exposed, we thought we’d be killed, but unexpectedly, they didn’t kill us. Instead, they locked us up. Later, he was chosen to become the host for the mother Gu, and I was chosen to become a Medicinal Soldier.” He paused, ”We weren’t imprisoned together, so I haven’t seen him for three months.” During these days, he had been trying to find a chance to send information out, but all failed. He originally thought he’d die here, but unexpectedly, he got rescued and saw his master again.

”Do you know where he’s being held?”

”It should be in the medicine room at the back.”

”Can you go rescue him now?”

”I have been bound with a special technique that sealed my Martial Arts Inner Strength.” Weng Xin gave a bitter smile, ”They intend to keep me as a Medicinal Soldier, so I just can’t use my Inner Strength, but it’s okay.”

Yun Lan nodded. The reason he recognized Weng Xin was because they were both Royal Secret Guards, though in different camps.

They had confronted each other before, so he recognized him at a glance.

Moreover, they had the same aura.

”There are also a few others who know martial arts, likely from Wulin. They are in the same condition as me...”

”Where are those captured Miao people held?”

”They should also be near the medicine room.”

”I can’t unseal your acupoints.” Zhang Tiankuo tried to unlock Weng Xin’s acupoints, but could only shake his head, ”The technique is too peculiar, we’ll have to wait until we’re out.”

”The fire over there was probably set by General Gu and my Prince.” Yun Lan glanced outside, ”We should take this chance to go to the medicine room and have a look.” If they could find people, they would rescue them together.

As for how to escape after rescuing, the two of them hadn’t thought about it at all. With the General and the Prince present, there was definitely a way out.

Then, the two of them killed a cult member, allowing Weng Xin to change clothes, and proceeded to the back.
