The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2397: Chapter 2397: Being Friends (1)

Guan Qingshu stood up first: ”Xinxin, congratulations.” His gaze swept over the other person’s belly, feeling an indescribable sentiment.

”Thank you.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”Have a seat.” Then she gestured to the tea on the table, ”I blended this medicinal tea myself, this type is for cleansing the liver and improving vision. I noticed your eyes are a bit red; your liver fire might be quite strong recently, right?”

Guan Qingshu smiled bitterly, sipping the tea twice. Wasn’t his liver fire flourishing? That sister almost infuriated him to death; he never imagined his sister could be so stubborn, so unreasonable.

Gu Yao also got up: ”Sis, I’m going to the restroom.”

Yang Ruxin nodded, giving them space to talk. However, she didn’t start speaking but instead took a couple of sips of plain water. Ever since she got pregnant, she had always been drinking warm boiled water made from well water from the space.

”Xinxin.” Guan Qingshu put down the teacup, raised his eyes to look at Yang Ruxin, ”I’m heading to Prefectural City tomorrow and then to Beijing; I’m afraid I won’t see your baby being born.”

”Then I wish you a brilliant future.” Yang Ruxin’s words were sincere. Although she didn’t like this young man, he was Yang Dani’s eternal beloved, so as long as he didn’t act foolishly towards her, she was willing to befriend him.

”Xinxin, you should know, the reason I worked so hard initially was to distinguish myself, but later it became a desire to be worthy of you.” Guan Qingshu smiled bitterly, ”But saying these words now seems a bit pretentious and disgusting, yet I feel if I don’t say them, there might never be another chance.”

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”I understand.”

”In the past...” Guan Qingshu recalled past events, feeling a weight and ache in his heart, ”In the past, I was blind; I... I know there’s no possibility between us anymore. I’m not thinking about those empty things, but what I want to say is, I really don’t want us to become strangers, can we be friends in the future?”

”If I didn’t consider you a friend, would you still have the chance to sit here and speak with me now?” Yang Ruxin smiled lightly at Guan Qingshu, ”Honestly, you’re suited for studying. If you find the right path, your future could be limitless, I just hope you won’t be dazzled by prosperity at any time.”

”I understand, thank you.” Guan Qingshu sniffed, ”Thank you for your past kindness and thank you for forgiving me now.” He actually understood that forgiveness was only because he no longer held significance in her heart.

”I accept your gratitude.”

”Also, I apologize on behalf of my sister, hoping...”

”I don’t accept.” Yang Ruxin directly waved to interrupt Guan Qingshu’s words, ”You are you, your sister is your sister. I can accept you as a friend, but I won’t be friends with your sister.” After a pause, ”Let me put it this way, if your sister doesn’t provoke me in the future, I’ll treat her as a stranger, but if she insists on being smart, inexplicably resents or retaliates against me and those I care about, then sorry, I won’t show mercy because of you.”

Guan Qingshu’s face instantly turned red: ”I’m still selfish.”

”It’s human nature, but you’re a smart person, I believe you know what to do.”

”Alright.” Guan Qingshu closed his eyes momentarily and reopened them clearly, nodding with a smile.
