The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2360: Chapter 2360: I Was Wrong (4)

Du Juan couldn’t help but chuckle, ”I can only comfort myself like this.”

That day, Du Yunpeng took the agreement to have a secret talk with Yang Ruxin for two hours, and then came out wiping his tears. As for what was discussed, no one knew, and no one asked.

However, Du Chengxiu started assessing the household staff. He needed to find someone to fill in for his family’s absence before leaving, ensuring that Yang Ruxin had reliable people.

Very soon, the selections were made. The butler position was handed over to Miao Jian, while the inner courtyard was entrusted to Granny Huang, who was brought from Hangzhou by Dong Wenxiu.

To replace Du Yunpeng as the head store manager, Qian Er was chosen.

Later on, it proved that both Du Chengxiu’s and Du Yunpeng’s choices were quite good. These three people were fully competent, but that’s a story for another time.

As for now, the arrangements by the Du Family were conducted in private, and the Yang Family did not know for the time being.

Yang Peili’s health was improving. Now he could wander around on his own without needing support. Plus, with the good meals he had enjoyed over these days, he appeared more spirited and even gained some weight on his face.

He was reluctant to leave, but it was indeed embarrassing to stay longer. So, even though they hadn’t asked him to leave, he himself suggested going back.

”Why don’t we...” Dong Wenxiu was about to offer, but suddenly realized something, and hurriedly closed her mouth, glancing at Yang Ruxin.

”Yes.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”Although the recovery is good, you must avoid any bumps and certainly no strenuous activities.”

Yang Peili nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope in his heart.

”Today is already the twentieth of the twelfth month. The school has only a half day of classes today, and then it goes on break.” Yang Ruxin didn’t offer to keep him, ”I’ll send someone to notify Rusong to come and pick you up.”

The faint hope in Yang Peili’s heart was shattered, but he wasn’t very disappointed, as it was an anticipated outcome. He immediately nodded, ”Alright.”

”Xinxin, your grandpa is quite pitiful.” Once Yang Peili returned to his room, Dong Wenxiu couldn’t help but speak up, ”Why don’t we...”

”Mom.” Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but sigh, ”If you keep him now, you’ll face endless troubles in the future. Mom, I don’t have the energy to deal with all these trivial matters every day. Since it’s already over, can you not soften inexplicably?”

”Yes, Wenxiu.” Feng Zilan also nodded, ”It’s not just Mr. at the old house. Don’t forget about Yang Baihe and Yang Baihui, the sisters. If they start causing a fuss every day, how will life go on?”

Dong Wenxiu quickly waved her hand, ”I was wrong. I just can’t seem to change this soft-heartedness of mine.”

”Mom, look, your soft heart always strikes occasionally, but can you really believe that those people at the old house will genuinely change?” Erni also chimed in to persuade.

”Mom has already admitted her mistake, so stop scolding me.” Dong Wenxiu scratched her head, ”I’ll make today’s lunch as an apology then.”

”I want to eat zhajiangmian (noodles with soybean paste).” Yang Ruxin was the first to raise her hand.

”I want fried rice with eggs.” Gu Yao, who was always by Erni’s side, also raised his hand.

”I want wontons.” Erni followed suit and raised her hand.

”I want...”

”You ungrateful bunch.” Dong Wenxiu chuckled, ”Alright, I’ll make all of it.” Then she pulled Feng Zilan along, ”You have to come with me.”

”What’s this got to do with me? I was planning to just sit and eat...” Feng Zilan complained as she followed along.
