The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1977: Chapter 1977: Supplying the Palace (5)

”Thank you, Hu Chef.” Yang Ruxin nodded to Hu Jia and then began to slice the carrot.

”Madam, you’re too kind.” Hu Jia decided to hand over his tasks to his subordinates and came over to Yang Ruxin to help, ”To be honest, I didn’t think much of the sauce you gave before, but after using it once... it was really amazing. I wonder if you could send more into the Palace?”

”The supplies for the Palace are provided by the Imperial Merchants, and I’m not one of them...” Yang Ruxin smiled. The Palace’s ingredients were supplied by the Gong Family, who were relatives of Xiao Jin. If she wanted a piece of the pie, she’d have to fall out with Xiao Jin.

And falling out with Xiao Jin basically meant falling out with Qi Jingyun.

But she had opened a bar for him, providing ingredients and red wine, and the profits were no less than being an Imperial Merchant. Besides, being an Imperial Merchant meant sharing profits with the Gong Family, while the silver from the bar was all his.

So, if she really supplied the shrimp paste and chili sauce, Qi Jingyun might cause trouble, and there wouldn’t be any need for future cooperation.

She always felt that although Qi Jingyun had ambitions for the throne, he wasn’t the kind of person to use unscrupulous means. At least, he hadn’t undermined the Crown Prince during battles. When someone has a moral bottom line, they’re not completely bad.

”What does it matter?” Hu Jia was indifferent, ”You’re just supplying two kinds of sauces, not really competing to be an Imperial Merchant. You don’t even need to go through Eunuch Ping, just get Eunuch Shui’s approval.”

”Is it that simple?”

”Oh madam, do you think it’s that hard?”

”I thought...”

”Besides, I’m the head chef of the Imperial Kitchen as appointed by the Emperor. It’s my word that counts here, can’t be talking nonsense.” Hu Jia curled his lips, thinking that just based on Madam Ruyi’s status, the Emperor and Empress Dowager’s attitude towards her, and the fact that she won against the Yuan Envoy, if she just hinted a little, she could utilize such great resources. Ah, villagers are really sincere.

Yang Ruxin naturally didn’t know she’d already been labeled as a sincere villager by Hu Jia.

”Leave this to me, and when the time comes, you just sign the contract and take the silver...” Hu Jia waved his hand.

”Hu Chef.” Yang Ruxin quickly raised her hand to signal, ”If it’s possible to supply, that would be great. However, making this stuff is very cumbersome and requires long-distance transport, so there can only be limited supply, at most fifty pounds each per month, no more than that.”

Though Hu Jia tried his best to persuade her, he couldn’t increase the quantity, but fifty pounds a month was enough. At this moment, he truly believed that making those two sauces was labor-intensive.

The harder something is to get, the more valuable it becomes.

So, in the end, Yang Ruxin didn’t have to worry about the price, as she was directly offered a high price in a straightforward cash-on-delivery deal.

”Xinxin, there’s no need to thank me. If you really want to, just supply your medicinal tea to the Palace too...” Eunuch Shui pushed away the purse Yang Ruxin handed.

”Cough cough...” Yang Ruxin was choked by her own saliva, ”Eunuch, this...”

”No need for this or that.” Eunuch Shui chuckled, ”After drinking your medicinal tea, haven’t you noticed my godfather’s hair turning black? And I... Anyway, as long as you can provide the medicinal tea every day, it’ll be fine...”
