The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1954: Chapter 1954: In Need of a Shopkeeper (Part 7)

The weather was getting hotter and hotter.

Regarding Yang Ruxin’s temporary inability to return, a group of people from back home wrote letters to express their disapproval. However, they eventually wrote back to express their understanding and said they all missed her.

There was nothing Yang Ruxin could do about it, but her homesickness was somewhat alleviated by the opening of her hotpot restaurant and vegetarian cafe.

Even though there wasn’t much advertising, the opening still attracted a lot of attention because the presence of the young Divine Doctor was enough to draw crowds.

The ingredients from her space had everyone who tried them unable to find fault and even seemed to have an addictive effect.

However, these matters were left to Gu Di and Hong Ye to handle, and she only needed to oversee the general direction. Their ability to execute was strong, consistently fulfilling her intentions perfectly, so Yang Ruxin actually found herself with more free time.

At the end of June, Wei Bingcen and his wife brought their son to Beijing and went straight to the General Residence.

After crying her heart out once that day, Wei Yao pulled herself together but had gained a sense of maturity. However, when she saw her parents, she couldn’t help but break down once more.

Wei Bingcen had heard about the Wei Family’s troubles on the way. It was impossible to say he wasn’t saddened, but there was nothing more he could do, especially since he was no longer part of the Wei Family.

”The Wei Family has fallen.” Yang Ruxin said frankly, looking at Wei Bingcen, ”So, have you thought about what to do next?”

”We...” Wei Bingcen gave a bitter smile, ”We have a little savings. Since we’re in Beijing, maybe we’ll start a small business here; as long as the family is together, we won’t starve...”

”You’re cut out for business.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I’ve bought the shop that used to be Longfeng Embroidery Store, planning to reopen it but primarily selling finished textile products. I need a shopkeeper...”

Wei Bingcen looked up at Yang Ruxin in surprise.

”There’s no need for a selling covenant with you, but you’ll have to sign an employment contract. I’m hiring you as the shopkeeper.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Of course, this is just my proposal. Whether you want to do it is up to you. I’ll give you two days to think about it...”

”No need to think it over.” Wei Yao shook her head and grabbed Wei Bingcen’s arm, ”Dad, let’s do it. Follow Xinxin; she won’t treat us poorly.”

Wei Bingcen glanced at Wei Yao and then at Yang Ruxin before finally nodding, ”Alright, since madam trusts us, we’ll do our best.”

Yang Ruxin smiled, ”As long as you’re true to me, I will return the favor. I will arrange for Wei Jun to study at the Imperial College, though what he makes of it will depend on himself...”

”Really?” Wei Zhangshi was excited, ”This is...”

”I’m at least a third-rank,” Yang Ruxin spread her hands, ”Appointed by the Emperor, so how could I not keep my word? Getting someone into the Imperial College isn’t difficult; even if I couldn’t do it, there’s still the eighth Prince and the Crown Prince, right?”

Thus, the Thriving Embroidery Shop began its preparations, planning to sell all kinds of dolls and textiles produced by Xuexue’s side, as well as bedding items like bed covers.

At the beginning of July, the new envoy from Yuan Country finally arrived. The King of Yuan Country expressed great disappointment in the demands made by the Emperor of the Great Xuan Dynasty, feeling they were not what a great nation’s emperor should propose.
