The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1766: Chapter 1766: Returning to the Main Family (7)

”Dad.” Wei Yao got the news and rushed over in a hurry, ”Are you really going back?” These days, she hasn’t been well, feeling very sorry for Yang Ruxin. If it weren’t for the Yang Family’s dolls, the shop in Lianhua Town wouldn’t have been noticed by the main family, and her father wouldn’t have had the confidence to take back her engagement. However, the main family acted dishonestly, making her too embarrassed to go to the Yang Family.

”I definitely have to go back.” Wei Bingcen sighed. The people from the main family are insatiably greedy, probably still eyeing the dolls.

”But what if they want you to speak to the Yang Family again?” Wei Yao’s eyes reddened, ”It’s because of their greed that I’ve lost face with Xinxin, even more so to go to the Yang Family...”

Wei Bingcen was silent.

The wife beside him, Wei Zhangshi, also sighed, ”When will we be able to make our own decisions, independent from the main family?”

But this made Wei Bingcen even more silent. Breaking away from the main family... in the future, whether the son takes the official route or does business, he’ll need the family’s support. Moreover, Yaoyao is now discussing marriage settlements, and a girl without a family will be looked down upon.

”Dad, mom is right.” Wei Yao’s eyes brightened, ”Look at Xinxin, she doesn’t have a family either, yet her life is going well, isn’t it? We...”

”Don’t say things like that anymore.” Wei Bingcen directly interrupted his daughter, ”If others hear it, it could cause trouble.”

Wei Yao pouted, ”But aren’t we already distancing ourselves like this? Also, do you think if something really happens to us, the family will actually take care of us?”

”Enough, don’t think about it too much.” How could Wei Bingcen not know that his daughter was making sense? But he couldn’t agree with her, so he just softened his tone, ”Pack up. We’re going to the Prefectural City. We might have to stay for a couple of days before we return.” Then he instructed the servant to call his son, Wei Jun.

”Jun’er has to go back too?” Wei Zhangshi frowned, ”He...”

”He’s not a kid anymore.” Wei Bingcen sighed, ”It’s time for him to learn some family secrets. In the future, if he takes the official path, he should continue his studies. If he doesn’t like it, he should come to manage the shop...”

”Dad, I’m definitely not cut out to be an official, but I will pass the Scholar exam first.” As he said this, Wei Jun walked in, ”But I also don’t want the Wei Family’s shop.” With an academic reputation, whether it’s just as a Scholar, doing things would be more convenient. At the very least, he could make a living by teaching somewhere.

”Then what do you want to do?” Wei Bingcen frowned.

”I’ll wait until I pass the Scholar exam to discuss it.” Wei Jun replied mischievously. He wanted to do business on his own but didn’t want to involve the Wei Family. He wasn’t keen on making money for those in the main family for free.

Wei Bingcen said no more.

Soon, the family of four took a carriage to the Prefectural City to return to the main family.

On the way, Wei Bingcen told his son about the matter without hiding anything, and also analyzed the pros and cons as well as some human nature’s secrets.

”Dad, I’ve actually understood all this.” Wei Jun smiled lightly, ”I’m not a child anymore. I’ve passed the scholar level. To be honest, Uncle’s actions are indeed quite unscrupulous...” He was familiar with the Yang Family, being with his sister. Just by Xinxin’s temperament... anyway, he thought that if Xinxin found out about the Wei Family’s dirty tricks, the Wei Family would definitely be in trouble... He quickly restrained his involuntarily revealed smile. How could he be happy about the main family having problems? He had to show some sadness instead.
