The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 948: Chapter 948: Win and Split the Money (3)

”Eagle fighting?” Yang Ruxin frowned, ”From the black market?”

”Well, not exactly the black market, but a kind of game anyway... but...” Hao the Fatty chuckled, ”if you win, there’s silver to be had... Ruxin, if Xiaohei wins and we get the money, how about we split it seventy-thirty? I’ll take thirty...”

Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.

”How about twenty-eighty then? You get eighty, okay?” Hao the Fatty hastily upped his own cut, ”Or I could just take ten percent, Ruxin, would that be okay?”

But Yang Ruxin just laughed, stepped forward, and patted his shoulder, ”Hehe... Sister isn’t short of cash, so, no deal.” Then she turned and got on her carriage.

Xiaohei just cooed twice, then whoosh, soared into the sky; if Xinxin disagreed, there was nothing he could do, helpless in the matter.

”Ruxin...” Hao the Fatty hurriedly tried to pull Yang Ruxin back, but suddenly saw a treasure sword appear just above his wrist and quickly retracted his hand.

Shadow Three withdrew the treasure sword and then turned around, pulled the carriage forward, and with a crack of the whip, they were off and away.

”Ruxin, let’s talk it over again,” Hao the Fatty muttered dejectedly, but his voice was so quiet even the servants standing nearby didn’t hear him, let alone the already departed Yang Ruxin. Dejected, he turned and got into his carriage, devoid of any mood for pleasure, and headed straight back to his residence.

But just as he reached the alley outside his own home, a carriage blocked the way.

”Why have we stopped?” Hao Jian barked irritably.

”It’s Young Master Qin’s carriage, blocking the middle of the alley,” the coachman’s voice came through.

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian immediately pushed open the carriage door and clambered out, ”Beast, good dogs don’t block the path.”

”Ha ha, you cheap thing, I was waiting here for you,” Qin Shou hurriedly got down from his carriage, laughing, with a grey hawk perched on his shoulder, ”What do you think? I just spent a fortune on this ’Great General Grey Feather’, handsome isn’t it?”

Hao Jian curled his lip: ”Not very?” Compared to Ruxin’s Xiaohei, it’s far inferior.

”Ha ha...” Qin Shou wasn’t offended, and instead burst into laughter, ”You’re just jealous, aren’t you? If you’re capable, get a better one! Let me tell you, this ’Great General Grey Feather’ of mine just defeated Jiang’s ’General Snow Feather’. I’ll tell you, this year’s betting for Champion Eagle King is definitely mine. I need to remind you about our wager, you better get your silver ready...” After bragging, he shook his head, which was as fat as Hao the Fatty’s, then turned and got back into his carriage and sped off.

”Pah!” Hao Jian spat after the departing carriage, ”Putting on airs for what? The contest hasn’t even begun, and you dare claim victory? Dream on...”

”Young Master, his grey hawk just beat Lord Jiang’s white hawk, so this year’s Champion is surely him, so...” Which means he has every right to brag, for Lord Jiang’s white hawk was last year’s Champion.

”Ah!” Hao Jian sighed, ”What to do then? Where can we get one better than that Beast’s?”

”Maybe Young Master should just ask the Lord for ten thousand taels, otherwise...”

”Get lost!” Hao Jian roared, then turned and walked back, not even bothering with the carriage. He had to find a way to borrow Ruxin’s black hawk; it wasn’t just about the silver, but about pride. He might be resigned to a mutual downfall with that fat Beast, but he absolutely couldn’t lose to him.
