The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 914: Chapter 914: Coma (6)

Just as the three of them left the main tomb chamber and dashed into the corridor, they heard a loud rumble behind them, as if an earthquake had struck, and those two guys had actually smashed the stone door down.

”Close this door too.” They passed through the main chamber and arrived at the previously kowtowed gate, ”Quickly look for the mechanism.”

”Here.” Gu Qingheng promptly slapped the stone platform with the Sudoku on it.

Indeed, the stone platform slowly descended, and the stone door also began to slowly close.

However, when the door was closing, a cracking sound was heard, and then sand began to leak from the cracks in the stones next to it.

”Damn it, we seem to have triggered the self-destruct mechanism.” Yang Ruxin watched as the stone walls began to shake and a wave of fear swiftly spread, ”Run!” Some ancient tombs, in order to thwart Tomb Raiders, are designed with self-destruct mechanisms. Some use water, some use fire, and others use sand. This one evidently used sand, which was hidden in the roof, with the walls beneath acting as support. But it’s likely that those two guys had knocked the walls down, and the switch was triggered when we were closing the door, so now, the sand above began to leak out.

If all this sand came down, this ancient tomb and the cave on the other side would probably be destroyed, and they would be left with no way out but death.

They should have curbed their curiosity.

Gu Qingheng realized it too and immediately grabbed Lin Xiwang with one hand, and pulled Yang Ruxin with the other, sprinting back the way they had come: ”Let’s run along the river, it definitely leads out of the mountain...”

The rumbling sounds continued unceasingly behind them...

No one knew how long they had run when suddenly, there was no path ahead, only the river continued to flow through the cliff in front, and they had nowhere to go. Yet the rumbling sounds behind them were getting closer, and the surrounding stone walls were shaking.

Yang Ruxin and Gu Qingheng exchanged glances, reaching a consensus, they went into the water.

”You go first.” Yang Ruxin nodded at Gu Qingheng.

”Together.”

”Move it.” Yang Ruxin then pushed Gu Qingheng into the water and turned to Lin Xiwang, ”You next.”

Lin Xiwang nodded and took a couple of steps forward.

But Yang Ruxin injected Lin Xiwang with a sedative from behind, knocking him unconscious, then moved him into the space before turning back to look at the rolling dust behind her and hurriedly dove into the water.

Right at the moment Yang Ruxin entered the water, the surrounding stone walls began to collapse, a mass of sand filling the whole space, covering the hidden river. The originally calm water became pressurized and flowed rapidly forward, pushing Yang Ruxin and Gu Qingheng ahead.

When the water finally calmed down, Yang Ruxin got up to take a breath, only to be surprised by the suddenly accelerated current, and then she fell down...

It was a waterfall formed by a cliff. Fortunately, the water pool below was deep enough. Dizzy during the fall, but unfazed, she hurriedly swam upwards.

”Gu Qingheng?” Yang Ruxin struggled to climb ashore, calling out. It was only then that she realized she had forgotten to ask if he could swim. If he couldn’t... Her heart sank immediately, and her voice grew more desperate, ”Gu Qingheng... ”

She then saw a person seemingly floating on the water not far away.

Yang Ruxin quickly went back into the water to move the person into the space and then climbed back to shore, where she let Gu Qingheng out. Unfortunately, he was already unconscious.
