The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 894: Chapter 894: Caught Up (Part 4)

Human potential truly knows no bounds, and boundless fear drove the two women to risk their lives, especially Qian Xiaoyun. She had tried to escape so many times because she wanted to leave. Although her leg was still lame, she gritted her teeth and ran forward, finally scrambling to the top of the slope using both hands and feet. However, before she could catch her breath, she dashed into the woods. She didn’t get far before collapsing to the ground with a thud.

”How are you?” Yang Ruxin hurried over to help her up.

”Xinxin, I don’t think I can make it,” Qian Xiaoyun shook her head, ”My leg...” she said, wiping away tears from the corner of her eye, ”I’ll lure them away in a moment. You take your aunt and run...”

Yang Ruxin frowned.

”But I hope you can go to my house and check on my parents. Tell them not to just marry off my sister...” Qian Xiaoyun wiped away another tear, ”Tell them I’m dead.”

”You go back and tell them yourself,” Yang Ruxin shook her head, ”I like to bring good news, not bad. Now that we’re here, we must keep going.” She picked up a stick from the ground, ”If I’m not worried about being dragged down, do you really want to give up on yourself?”

”Right, Xiaoyun, we can’t let you go back. That would be a death sentence,” Xun Hui nodded in agreement.

Qian Xiaoyun bit her lip, then nodded and began running forward, leaning on the stick.

However, the men behind them had lived in the mountains all their lives and were accustomed to all its aspects, so they were much faster. It wasn’t long before the light of the torches could be seen when one looked back.

”Sister...” Just as Yang Ruxin was considering whether she should knock out the two and carry them away, someone suddenly burst out from beside her, ”This way...”

Yang Ruxin smiled and hurriedly supporting one of them as they headed in the direction Lin Xiwang indicated, ”How did you get here?”

”They know the paths, you can’t outrun them,” Lin Xiwang whispered, ”Over here there’s a grass nest. I found it by chance before. Hide there, and I’ll lead them away...”

”No,” Yang Ruxin pulled Lin Xiwang back, ”If they catch you, they’ll kill you. I’ll go.”

”Xinxin...” Xun Hui grabbed Yang Ruxin’s hand.

Qian Xiaoyun also shook her head, ”No, it’s too dangerous.”

”Don’t worry,” Yang Ruxin glanced at everyone, ”They won’t catch me if I’m alone.” She paused for a moment, ”After I draw them away, you follow this path and keep going. It will lead you down the mountain. I’ll return after I shake them off...”

”I can’t let you take that risk,” Xun Hui was adamant and wouldn’t let go, ”Xinxin, this whole mess was caused by me. If anyone should go out, it should be me. Even if... I’ve lived half my life, I’ve had enough...” She tried to rise.

”Didn’t you say you’d listen to me? How come you’re not listening now?” Yang Ruxin pressed Xun Hui down firmly, with a very serious expression, ”Could you escape if you went out?”

Xun Hui bit her lip.

”Only if I go out, there’s a greater chance of escape,” Yang Ruxin’s tone left no room for argument, then she looked at Lin Xiwang, ”Xiwang, I’m entrusting my mother to you. After I lead them away, you take them down the mountain. There’s a white wolf called Xiaobai down there; he’s my friend and will protect you on the way down. Then wait for me at home...”
