The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 442: Chapter 442: Second Brother Yang Leaves (Update 27)_1

”Yang Anshi, I showed you respect before because you are an elder, but now, we have no relation,” Yang Ruxin swung the family tree in her hand, ”Curse one more time and see what happens...”

”You...” Yang Anshi suddenly fell silent, her eyes wide with fear as she watched Yang Ruxin approach, then suddenly let out a wail, ”Yang Dani is going to kill someone...” She turned tail and fled at full speed.

As fast as a rabbit.

A corner of Yang Ruxin’s mouth twitched, she hadn’t laid a finger on anyone, so why...

Laughter erupted from the surrounding people.

Yang Peili’s face turned from white to red, and he hurried back home, his stooped back seeming to age ten years in an instant.

Having reached her own house, Yang Anshi let out a sigh of relief and began hopping up and down in the yard, cursing again.

Those around who heard shook their heads, unable to speak, silently despising the old lady.

”That’s enough.” Yang Peili entered the room and roared impatiently, ”Rather than wasting energy cursing, come and help me in the fields...” He was indeed worried. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, the field work should have been done. Other families in the village had indeed finished, but his own was still not sorted out. The three or four mu of land they had previously planted were shallowly tilled, leaving the seeds on the surface, demanding reseeding, and the vegetable garden needed tidying as well. Yet with everything happening at home, his second and fourth sons were of no use at all. Those plots were their work, and he dared not rely on them anymore, forcing him to turn to his fifth son. However, his youngest had also become petulant, stating he wouldn’t work unless his second and fourth brothers did, leaving only Yang Peili to toil – and half a mu of land was still unfinished.

Yang Anshi immediately shut her mouth, then turned and entered the house, knowing full well she had not touched field work in over a decade and was certainly now incapable of it.

Glancing at the chamber door still lying on the ground, Yang Peili heaved a sigh, picked up the plough, and trudged back to the field, silently beginning to till. Suddenly, his shoulder felt lighter as someone took over the plough handle. When he looked up, he saw it was Yang Baixiang and felt a pang in his heart.

Yang Baixiang simply couldn’t bear to watch his father reseed the fields alone and had come to help.

Without a word, they quietly finished ploughing the half mu and then began to sow.

The half mu didn’t take half a day to complete.

Shouldering the plough, Yang Baixiang turned and walked away.

”Boss...” Yang Peili called out.

Yang Baixiang stopped in his tracks, but without turning back or speaking, he just waited for his father to continue.

”Never mind, let’s go back.” Yang Peili felt a profound sense of helplessness, ultimately just sighed, and walked ahead back to the village.

Frowning, Yang Baixiang didn’t say a word, merely followed quietly behind the old man towards the village.

Upon reaching the entrance to the courtyard, they saw a carriage stopped there, and Feng Caie, along with Yang Baichuan, was packing things into it.

”What’s all this about?” Yang Peili stepped forward, his expression grim.

Feng Caie glanced at Yang Peili but said nothing. Instead, she pulled Yang Ruyu back inside to continue packing.

”Dad...” Yang Baichuan set a bundle on the carriage before turning to Yang Peili with a grin, ”Boss is about to finish his apprenticeship, and Mum and I are going to the town to look after him...”

”To town?” Yang Peili frowned.

”Yes.” Yang Baichuan nodded, ”My uncle used to be in the county, right? Now he wants to start his own business and is planning to open a shop in town, and he’s asked me to help out... Don’t worry, we’ll definitely come back with a wedding gift when Fourth Brother gets married...”
