The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Serious_1

The kids nodded vigorously, and the serious expression of their eldest sister made them take on a serious demeanor as well.

Despite this, Yang Ruxin still felt uneasy. She listed several cautionary examples, like ”If someone tells you your elder sister asked me to take you somewhere,” or ”Your mother is waiting for you over there,” such things should not be believed. It was only after she saw that the kids started to take it seriously and began to understand the concept of self-protection that she finally breathed a sigh of relief. No wonder so many modern parents are anxious. Raising mischievous children is indeed not easy.

”But...” Erni suddenly seemed to hesitate as if she had more to say.

”Speak your mind.” Yang Ruxin frowned slightly, ”Remember, we are one family. At all times we must stick together. Only in this way can we avoid being bullied. Therefore, whatever we have to say, we must speak openly. Guessing games can harm our familial bonds...”

”I understand,” Erni said with a slightly ashamed look, ”I’m just a bit worried...” she paused, ”Since auntie has this plan, what do we do if grandma comes over and speaks to us? And not only is the eldest male cousin from the main family unreliable, but his eldest son, that eldest cousin of ours, is also not a good person... Every time he sees us, he makes inappropriate moves...” Admitting this out loud seemed to bring her some relief.

Yang Ruxin’s eyes darkened momentarily. A crooked beam leads to a crooked house; if Tian Geng was shamed for his sleazy behavior, how could his son be any better?

”Then we’ll deal with them together!” Sanni concluded firmly.

”Right,” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”But we need not rush this matter. We must wait for the right opportunity. However, before that, all of you must protect yourselves. Do you hear me?”

The kids nodded again.

Leaving aside Yang Ruxin’s solemn education of her siblings for a moment, let’s talk about Yang Ruyu. She had overheard the conversation between Yang Baihe and Yang Ruxin earlier and was seething with resentment. She had no desire to stay in the village as a country bumpkin. She considered herself the most beautiful girl of the Yang Family, and it should be her right to marry into a wealthy household. After all, wasn’t it only by moving to town that one could have the chance to meet more rich people?

Therefore, she blamed the entire issue on the people of the main household and believed they were blocking her path forward.

However, with Yang Baihe clearly having no intention of taking her, how could that be acceptable? She was determined to find a way to live in town.

As she was pondering this in her room, she heard the voice of Yang Anshi from the courtyard and quickly got up to peer through the crack of the door.

As expected, Yang Anshi came directly and knocked on the main household door: ”Yang Dani, come out here...”

”Elder sister,” Erni hurried to Yang Ruxin’s side.

”It’s alright,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”I’ll go out with you.”

”Grandma, did you come to see my mother?” Yang Ruxin opened the door and walked out.

”See who?” Yang Anshi gave her a disdainful look but stopped short of saying anything too harsh, ”I’m here to find Erni.” Glancing at Erni who was following behind Yang Ruxin, she added, ”In a few days, you will go to the town to live with your auntie...” Turning around, she began to walk back, muttering, ”Such a good fortune for you two...” She wouldn’t have been willing to let Erni go if not for her daughter taking a liking to Erni’s honesty.

”Grandma, does this mean auntie has agreed to the terms we previously discussed?” Yang Ruxin smiled, feigning a look of surprise.
