The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 126: Chapter 126: Persistent Harassment_1

Yang Baihe had thought that after her words, the other party would definitely be moved to tears. But why had she been rejected? And narrowly at that—the door nearly slammed in her face. Suddenly enraged, she began pounding on the door furiously, ”Yang Dani, you little wench, how can you be so ungrateful? Get out here...”

There was no response from inside the room.

However, just as Yang Baihe was about to go mad, Yang Ruxin opened the door again, still smiling, ”Little aunt, why are you so angry? Being angry can damage your liver and even give you wrinkles...”

Yang Baihe’s eyes bulged as if she’d seen a ghost. Was this really her niece?

”Since Erni gets to enjoy delicious food and drink following you, of course, I hope she goes, but she can’t go for nothing, can she? How about you give me some silver first? My mother needs several taels of silver each month just for her medicine...”

”Why on earth should I give you silver?” Yang Baihe felt her niece’s thoughts were very peculiar. She was about to take Erni to enjoy the finer things in life. Shouldn’t she be grateful to her? Why was she asking for silver?

”We’re a household of means, aren’t we? Just a little silver falling through the cracks every month is enough for my mother’s medicine...” Yang Ruxin chuckled, ”Unless you’re telling me you’re from a so-called ’household of means’ is a sham?”

Yang Baihe’s cheek muscles twitched, ”Even if there is silver, it belongs to my aunt. Why should I give it to you? And you, let Erni come out. I won’t talk to you...”

”Why can’t you give it to me? Why won’t you talk to me?” Yang Ruxin’s eyes also widened, feigning confusion, ”Erni is my sister, we have no father, and our mother is unconscious, so now I’m like a mother..,” she paused, ”If my sister goes to your so-called grand household, she should be fed a pound of meat a day, right? Now I’ve decided to change it to just two taels of meat, and she can have it every other day to save some for us, is that not okay? And you can also halve the fine flour buns, and a new set of clothes each month is fine. No need for two sets...” She sounded as if she were putting up with a loss.

In truth, when it came to being peculiar and obstinate, Yang Ruxin had previously scorned such behavior. But when she actually did so, she was on a collegiate level.

”You...” Yang Baihe felt she couldn’t keep up, one pound of meat a day? Two new sets of clothes a month? Buns made with fine flour at every meal? Was she living in a dream?

”Little aunt, what do you think?” Yang Ruxin even looked pleased, ”I think I can’t ask for too much, just like this is fine. We’ll take a slight loss, even though we’re at a disadvantage, but we still feel grateful to you, little aunt. You’re simply the savior of our big room...”

But Yang Baihe didn’t want to listen anymore and, somewhat frantically, turned around and walked away.

”Little aunt, don’t go...” Yang Ruxin stepped forward as if to grab her, ”We haven’t finished our chat yet... Let’s discuss when Erni should go, shall we? And how will you give the silver, monthly or a whole year’s worth at once?”

However, Yang Baihe quickened her pace to the main house, as if something terrifying was chasing her from behind.

Yang Dani sneered. Her speech wasn’t even finished. You were supposed to be the savior of the second room... As she was about to close the door, she met the gaze of Yang Ruyu across the way. Ignoring the sharpness in her eyes, she smiled smugly back at her.
