The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Two-Day Observation_1

Yang Ruxin nodded, giving Li Yi a grateful smile, but said nothing.

However, Yang Peili’s face had not improved much, as he was not worried about Xun Hui’s condition but whether two taels of silver would be enough...

”Sister-in-law will be fine,” Yang Baixiang also looked at Yang Ruxin.

”I know,” replied Ruxin, nodding. ”I won’t let anything happen to her.”

Yang Baixiang didn’t think much about her words, simply smiling and nodding in response.

About two hours later, Doctor Wang finally came out.

”How is she?” Before Yang Ruxin had a chance to get up and ask, Yang Peili was the first to speak.

”What happened here? Whoever did this was really ruthless,” Doctor Wang sighed. ”A little more off target and it would have been a fatality... ”

Yang Peili’s face turned an awkward shade as he struggled to find words to say.

”Doctor Wang, my mother...,” Ruxin hastily approached, ”will she be okay?”

”I’ve stopped the bleeding and did acupuncture,” explained Doctor Wang with a face full of sympathy. ”For the time being, there is no threat to her life, but... ”

”Brother Wang, just speak your mind,” Li Yi interjected.

”Then I’ll speak frankly,” Doctor Wang nodded. ”Though the patient won’t die, whether she will fully recover is another matter. She’s suffered a severe blow to the head, resulting in internal bleeding. We’ve stopped it for now, but there’s a big clot pressing against her brain. If it dissipates, she can wake up and gradually heal with care. However, if it doesn’t... ”

”What will happen if it doesn’t?” asked Yang Peili reflexively.

”If it doesn’t, then she’ll just lie there and we’ll have to keep medicating her... ” Doctor Wang sighed again, ”essentially, she’ll be a living dead person... ”

Unable to hold back, Yang Baixiang exclaimed, ”Doctor, she still has so many children to look after; she can’t be left like this...”

Doctor Wang shrugged, ”We can only leave it up to fate.”

”How much will it cost to keep caring for her?” Yang Peili frowned upon hearing this.

”It’s hard to say,” replied Doctor Wang. ”She might wake up in a few days, or it might be years, even a lifetime... ” Doctor Wang glanced at Peili, ”You’ll need to prepare at least three to five taels of silver a month... ”

Yang Peili couldn’t help but gasp.

”Thank you, Doctor Wang,” expressed Ruxin with a nod, ”so what now... ”

”I suggest we observe her here for two days,” Doctor Wang offered a smile. ”The first three days are the most critical... ”

”Okay,” Ruxin agreed, nodding. ”Then, please have a room arranged for us, Doctor Wang.”

Doctor Wang nodded and then instructed a young servant to open up a room in the back courtyard and had Xun Hui moved in.

”Father, you pay and then go back with Uncle Xiaowu,” Ruxin looked at Yang Peili. ”There’s no need for so many people here—more crucially, Uncle Li needs to go back too, make sure you pay Uncle Lao Kuang for the carriage... ”

”I’ll stay with you,” Yang Baixiang shook his head. ”I wouldn’t feel at ease leaving you alone, a young lady by yourself.”

”Yes, we need someone to accompany you, in case there’s a situation where someone needs to run errands or something,” Li Yi also agreed with Baixiang staying.

”Alright,” Ruxin nodded her head.

Yang Peili, who had been solemn-faced this whole time, didn’t speak; seeing that everything was arranged, he turned and walked out.

Following him to the cashier desk outside, the young servant asked for a deposit of two taels of silver, noting that whatever wasn’t used would be refunded when the patient left, but any shortage would need to be made up.
