Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 439: Chapter 364: Star Storage Hall Chapter 439: Chapter 364: Star Storage Hall “Star Storage Hall…”

Su Yuan followed the map in the Black Card to the Star Storage Hall.

The Star Storage Hall was a place that stored Star Devices, Star Cards, and various precious items. It was located on the east side of the Sky Patrol Department.

From Vermilion Bird Imperial to the Star Storage Hall, Su Yuan headed directly north at a rapid pace. Soon enough, he arrived in front of the Star Storage Hall as shown on the map.

“Truly magnificent and awe-inspiring…”

Even though the map inside the Black Card had 3D models, seeing this Star Storage Hall with his own eyes still left Su Yuan quite shocked.

The Star Storage Hall was immense and uniquely shaped.

It had a multilayered square structure, which was narrow at the bottom and wide at the top. A spiral pathway connected it upwards to a super large transparent celestial sphere above.

Inside the celestial sphere, countless stars of various colors moved slowly as the sphere rotated.

Upon closer inspection, those stars were none other than Star Cards emitting a faint glow!

At a glance, there were at least tens of thousands of Star Cards, mostly blue and purple, with a few golden ones faintly visible among them!

Not to mention anything else, just setting up the barrier of this Star Storage Hall required Grandmaster-level skill.

It might even need multiple Barrier Masters to design and set up together.

“Newcomer?”

Just as Su Yuan was marveling at the grandeur of the Star Storage Hall, a voice suddenly came from beside him.

Su Yuan’s eyes twitched slightly. Turning his head, he saw someone had unknowingly walked up next to him.

Although he was somewhat shocked by the Star Storage Hall, this person managed to approach him without his noticing. They must be quite remarkable.

Su Yuan carefully observed the person, noting their short purple hair and silver combat uniform.

Since members of the Sky Patrol Department often needed to go on assignments, wearing uniforms was not mandatory except for gatherings.

As for Su Yuan’s uniform… According to the “Entry-level Guide,” people from the comprehensive department would deliver several suitable sets based on the registered size later.

Furthermore, this person had a fresh-looking scar on the left side of their face.

Su Yuan found it quite surprising. Normally, for someone at the Shining Star Level, ordinary scars should not be difficult to heal unless it involved serious injuries like losing a limb.

“Vermilion Bird Imperial, Su Yuan,” Su Yuan introduced himself.

The purple-haired youth also glanced at Su Yuan a few times before responding, “Vermilion Bird Imperial, Yan Changming.”

After speaking, the person walked straight into the Star Storage Hall.

“Yan Changming…”

Su Yuan watched the back of the other person, deep in thought, then followed inside the Star Storage Hall.

The square grand hall at the bottom of the Star Storage Hall had four levels, each filled with numerous crystal-like booklets densely arranged throughout the hall.

“Special Envoy Yan? You’re back! It’s been a while!” exclaimed a handsome young man sitting at the entrance, smiling as he greeted Yan Changming.

“Just returned recently.” Yan Changming glanced at the young man indifferently while swiping his Black Card on the pillar at the entrance, then proceeded inside.

Su Yuan, who came in afterward, mimicked this action by swiping his Black Card on the pillar. He nodded at the handsome young man on duty and prepared to go inside.

The handsome young man smiled and asked, “Are you the new Special Envoy?”

Su Yuan nodded and replied, “Vermilion Bird Imperial, Su Yuan. I just joined today.”

“My name is Jiang Lang. Since it’s your first time here, I assume you’re here to claim the entry reward Purple Card?”

“That’s right.”

“I thought so,” Jiang Lang smiled, then reminded, “With your authority, you can go up to the second floor. However, even on the second floor, not every Purple Card can be exchanged.”

Su Yuan pondered for a moment and smiled, “Special Envoy Jiang, please enlighten me.”

Jiang Lang explained, “Epic Purple Cards also vary in level and rarity, so their values differ. This should be known to Su Envoy.

Generally, Sky Patrol Envoys exchange treasures from the Star Storage Hall using their accumulated ‘Battle Merits.’

However, the Purple Card awarded to new envoys upon joining is distributed based on the rating of the entry task with one-time ‘Temporary Battle Merit’:

Qualified: 1,000 points of Temporary Battle Merit.

Good: 2,000 points of Temporary Battle Merit.

Excellent: 3,000 points of Temporary Battle Merit.

Transcendent… The difficulty of the entry task is limited, so a Transcendent rating is impossible.

The higher the rating, the more Purple Cards you can exchange. Which Purple Cards are available, Su Envoy can check the Star Catalogue to find out.”

The Star Catalogue referred to those crystal booklets on display.

Su Yuan sensed his Black Card with his spiritual power, indeed finding an additional 3,000 points of Temporary Battle Merit.

Su Yuan asked in surprise, “Special Envoy Jiang, is there really a 1,000-point difference in Temporary Battle Merit for each rating?”

Jiang Lang chuckled, “It’s normal. Getting a ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ task rating is several times more difficult! And this is just Temporary Battle Merit, which can only be consumed once without other planning.”

Su Yuan thought for a moment, then smiled, “Thank you, Special Envoy Jiang, for the reminder.”

Seeing Su Yuan being courteous, Jiang Lang added, “Generally, if rated as Qualified, about 60% of the Star Cards on the second floor are eligible for exchange. This is a rare opportunity, so choose wisely…”

Sixty percent? The purchasing power of 1,000 Battle Merits was indeed strong!

For most people, they could likely exchange for a satisfactory Star Card.

“What about Good and Excellent?”

“Good, 80%. Excellent, 90%. The higher the rating, the greater the advantage.

Good ratings are produced seven or eight times a year.

As for Excellent, only three people have achieved it in the past ten years.

By the way, you’re in Vermilion Bird Imperial, right? The latest one is Xia Xuan from your department.”

“Xia Xuan?”

A beautiful girl with a high ponytail appeared in Su Yuan’s mind, and he was internally surprised.

This Witch from Demon City seemed to be even more outstanding than he had imagined.

After all, this was the Sky Patrol Department, a place filled with experts. In ten years, only three people had achieved an Excellent rating; one of them was her. Quite impressive.

“Indeed, Xia Xuan is remarkable. She’s almost a First Level Star after just one year.”

“First Level Star?”

Jiang Lang waved his hand, “Although they’re all Special Envoys, there are still differences. But this is getting off-topic. Su Envoy can check the ‘Entry-level Guide’ for details.”

Su Yuan nodded. As a newcomer to the Sky Patrol Department, there were many things he did not know.

It was better to check slowly later; the other party could not explain everything at once.

And the goal of this trip was to claim the Purple Card.

“Thank you, Special Envoy Jiang, for clearing my doubts.”

After expressing his gratitude again, Su Yuan walked into the Star Storage Hall.

The grand hall formed a square shape with a hollow center, consisting of four levels.

At the moment, there were about seven or eight people on the first floor. As for Yan Changyin, he had already gone straight to the second floor.

Su Yuan did not rush to the second floor; instead, he first wandered around the first floor, casually picking up the Star Catalogue of the “Prajnaparamita Compassionate Hand” and delving his spiritual power into it. Immediately, a vast amount of information appeared…

“Prajnaparamita Compassionate Hand”

“Grade: Blue”

“Introduction: A Buddhist skill created by the Da Fu Temple, able to refine the Prajnaparamita Compassionate Hand with immense power, capable of destroying cities and having an extra restraining effect on evil techniques. Note: The Da Fu Temple was established by disciples of the mysterious Bodhi Sect scattered across the East Continent.”

…

“Besides the basic introduction, there are explanations, projections, and experience reviews…”

“This not only provides a more intuitive display of the skill’s effect but also includes the experiences and evaluations of previous practitioners. Quite good.”

After reading carefully, Su Yuan nodded with approval.

Although he had not obtained the actual item and practiced, Su Yuan had a thorough understanding of the Prajnaparamita Compassionate Hand’s effect.

These Star Catalogues, like the Black Cards and talismans, stored vast information internally, accessible by delving spiritual power into them.

Su Yuan set down the “Prajnaparamita Compassionate Hand” and wandered around the first floor for a while.

Besides rare or extremely high-grade Blue Star Cards, there were also rare materials, Super Blue Star Devices, and other items.

Yes, even materials were encased in Star Cards for convenient storage.

“It seems the first floor holds Third-level Items of high quality or rarity.”

Having a rough understanding, Su Yuan proceeded to the second floor.

Since the interior was narrower at the top, the second floor was much smaller in area than the first, probably less than one-third.

From this level onwards, everything was Fourth Grade Items!

Senluo Starfire Technique, Sky-reaching Ancient Pine Strength…

Mother and Child Soul Hooking Sword, Dragon Abyss Plate…

Fire Essence, Nine Curves Yellow River Formation, White Bone Rejuvenation Pill…

Skills, Star Devices, materials, arrays, elixirs…

Su Yuan had never seen so many valuable treasures before. A dazzling array of various items, leaving Su Yuan overwhelmed and wide-eyed!

After enthusiastically browsing for one or two hours, Su Yuan finally regained his composure.

“Indeed, I was a bit like a country bumpkin coming to the city. I’ll start by finding a Space-related Star Card.”

Shaking his head and smiling, Su Yuan followed the guidance of the Star Storage Hall and found the Space-related section.

The Sky Patrol Department did not disappoint. There were over a dozen Epic Star Cards related to Space on this floor.

However, at this moment, due to permission restrictions, Su Yuan could only exchange for two of them.

One was named “Star Dominator,” and the other was “Void Shattering.”

Star Dominator, valued at 2,980 Battle Merits, was a body refining skill containing both “Star” and “Space” powers, significantly enhancing physical defense, strength, and Star Power.

Void Shattering, valued at 2,200 Battle Merits, was a powerful large-scale AOE attack, capable of causing space shattering in a designated area, unleashing terrifying damage as a trump card.

“With the Demon Soul Avatar specializing in the Fire Element, it may now even be stronger than my main body. Honestly, both of these skills are needed…”

As Su Yuan pondered, a purple star suddenly descended from the celestial sphere, returning to the grand hall below. Then, in a flash, it flew directly to a certain spot on the second floor.

Looking up, Su Yuan saw that the purple starlight landed right in the hands of a young man in a silver robe.

It was Yan Changyin!

Yan Changyin put away the Star Card and then directly descended the stairs to leave.

Jiang Lang watched the monitor, quickly finding Yan Changyin’s exchange record.

“The Shock Extreme Thunder Armor? That costs 2,700 Battle Merits! Impressive, his task must have been quite challenging; no wonder he was gone for so long…”

Meanwhile, Su Yuan carefully examined the Star Catalogues for the two Purple Cards.

“For attacks, I have conventional means like the Void Splitting Monument Hand, and my ultimate move, the Void, is barely adequate.

For defense, although I have the Phase Transfer Evasion, it might still lead to passive situations. Sometimes, direct confrontation is necessary…”

Moreover…

Star Dominator is 780 Battle Merits more expensive than Void Shattering. It feels like I’m missing out if I don’t pick Star Dominator!

After pondering for a while, Su Yuan made his decision.

“Then it’s the ‘Star Dominator’!”
