Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 438: Chapter 363: Joining the Company Chapter 438: Chapter 363: Joining the Company This afternoon, Su Yuan and the others received the news and came to wait in the hotel lobby because the results of the entry mission were coming out.

“Xiong Chunyang, can you stop shaking your leg?” Tang Jiao raised her eyebrow at the constantly shaking leg of Xiong Chunyang.

Xiong Chunyang snorted, “I just want to shake it!”

Tang Jiao turned her head in frustration, choosing not to look to calm her mind.

Su Yuan watched this scene and couldn’t help but chuckle to himself.

It was obvious that now Tang Jiao and Xiong Chunyang were really feeling the nervousness of waiting for the interview results.

Among the few of them, the one who wanted to join the Sky Patrol Department the most was undoubtedly Tang Jiao.

Tang Jiao came from the military, so she naturally longed for the strongest military force in Great Flame, the Sky Patrol Department.

That was a department even military elites aspired to join.

As for Xiong Chunyang, who originally came from a gang, he wasn’t very keen on joining the Sky Patrol Department initially.

But after this mission, he discovered how many masters there were!

Just the entry assessment mission alone had them encountering so many experts unimaginable in the Western Desert, so wouldn’t joining the Sky Patrol Department mean often engaging in this level of challenge?

This was much more interesting than being a tyrant in the borderlands of the Western Desert, far more exciting!

Lin Chongyun remained relatively calm. Being someone from a sect, he participated in the Sky Patrol Department’s assessment on his master’s orders. At worst, he would just return and be laughed at by his senior brothers at Zicheng Mountain…

The four of them didn’t wait long before a tall young man in a black robe walked in from the hotel entrance.

This man walked with steady steps, his gaze calm and solid as a mountain. As soon as he walked in, Su Yuan and the others sensed that he wasn’t simple.

The tall young man approached Su Yuan and the others directly, cupped his fists, and said, “Are you Xiong Chunyang, Lin Chongyun, Su Yuan, and Tang Jiao?”

Su Yuan and the others stood up, “That’s us, and you are…?”

“Wei Feng of the Xuanwu Imperial, here to meet you. Congratulations on passing our assessment. This is the Entry Letter, please accept it.”

Wei Feng took out four gilt-edged letters and handed them to Su Yuan and the others.

“We passed!”

Their eyes lit up as each took their own letter to read.

Inside the letter from Wei Feng, besides the Entry Invitation, there was also a summary of the entry mission.

[Name: Su Yuan]

[Rating: Excellent]

[Comment: Adaptable in urgent situations, decisive in action. Brave and resourceful, outstanding combat ability.]

“Just qualified…” Xiong Chunyang looked at his letter and turned to ask, “Special Envoy Wei, how many levels are there above qualification?”

Wei Feng replied, “Above qualified, there are good, excellent, and transcendent.”

Xiong Chunyang’s eyes widened, “What, three more levels!”

His loud voice drew the attention of many in the hotel lobby.

After all, this was a five-star hotel, and many well-dressed people frowned and looked over.

Xiong Chunyang didn’t care about their gazes and asked, “Special Envoy Wei, are you sure? I’m just qualified?”

“Qualified is the normal level.”

Xiong Chunyang quickly turned to the others and asked, “What about you all, how did you do?”

Lin Chongyun said, “Same, qualified…”

Tang Jiao said, “Me too.”

They all then looked at Su Yuan.

Seeing them looking over, Su Yuan smiled, “I’m excellent.”

Since Xiong Chunyang asked, Su Yuan honestly shared.

“Excellent?” Lin Chongyun and the others were slightly stunned.

“Damn, awesome!” Xiong Chunyang grinned at Su Yuan and said, “But Su Yuan, you deserve the excellent rating. Old Xiong is convinced!”

Lin Chongyun and Tang Jiao also praised, “Impressive!”

Joking aside, if it hadn’t been for Su Yuan’s help, those two Star Envoys would have wiped them out. So naturally, Xiong Chunyang and the others were very convinced by this “excellent” rating.

Not only the three of them, but even Special Envoy Wei Feng couldn’t help but show surprise, looking Su Yuan up and down again.

Wei Feng knew they had passed the assessment but didn’t know the specifics of their mission and ratings, only that he was ordered to connect with them.

As a special envoy of the Sky Patrol Department, Wei Feng knew better than Xiong Chunyang and the others how difficult it was to get an “excellent” rating!

If it were a team mission, it required performing exceptionally well in a difficult task and playing a crucial role in deciding the mission’s success or failure to receive such a rating.

He had been with the Sky Patrol Department for three years, completed around twenty missions, and received four good ratings at most, which was already pretty good.

As for excellent…let alone himself; very few among the special envoys had received an excellent rating even once.

And this young man before him had gotten an excellent rating just on the entry mission!

Moreover, entry missions came with benefits, and an excellent rating in an entry mission…

Thinking of this, Wei Feng’s eyes showed some envy as he looked at Su Yuan.

“Next, please follow me to the Yan Court.” Wei Feng collected his thoughts and said.

“Alright!”

…

To the north of the Capitol City, Yan Court.

The Yan Court’s perimeter was surrounded by a more than forty-meter-high black wall, which was made from a mix of the highest fourth-level metallic ores and various other materials, engraved with a high-level array barrier, making it extremely sturdy and able to block enemy detection and attacks.

Standing outside the Yan Court, one could only see a vague scene inside.

Even with Su Yuan’s All-Knowing Vision, it was hard to see a few meters inside…

At the south gate of the Yan Court, at this moment, Su Yuan and the others followed Wei Feng inside after passing identity verification.

“The Star Power here is so rich!” Su Yuan and the others were amazed.

Their first impression upon entering was the extremely concentrated Star Power, several times higher than outside!

In their view, most of the buildings in the Yan Court were expansive ancient palace structures, with roads extending in all directions, as well-maintained as polished jade.

Worthy of Yan Court, its solemn grandeur was evident everywhere.

“I’ll first take you to Jiyin Hall to register and receive the Sky Patrol Black Card, then you can follow the guide to find your lodgings. By the way, flying is prohibited in Yan Court during non-combat times, please be mindful.”

Su Yuan and the others immediately replied, “Understood.”

They followed Wei Feng with quick strides. Although the Yan Court was vast, people in various uniforms could be seen hurrying about everywhere.

“Are those people in uniform Sky Patrol envoys?” Xiong Chunyang asked, looking at several people passing on the left.

Wei Feng explained, “Those are from the Education Bureau. In Yan Court, not only the Sky Patrol Department but also the Education Bureau, Research Department, and Military Supervision Department headquarters are here. Our Sky Patrol Department is located in the northernmost part of Yan Court.”

“I see…” The group nodded in understanding.

Su Yuan thought of something, “So, is Lord Huangfu Qi here too?”

After knowing Su Yuan had received an excellent rating, Wei Feng became more attentive and replied, “Yes, but such a person’s whereabouts are uncertain. She might not be inside at the moment.”

After a while, they arrived at Jiyin Hall, which is responsible for receiving new members of the Sky Patrol Department.

Besides Liu Zhang of the Xuanwu Imperial, who was in charge of the Jiyin Hall, several other staff members from the comprehensive office of Yan Court, who were not part of the Sky Patrol Department, were also there.

“Wei Feng, wow, bringing back so many people at once?”

“Yes, Liu Zhang, these colleagues are all yours now.”

“Great!” Liu Zhang smiled at Su Yuan and the others, “Please take out your Entry Letter so I can register you.”

Su Yuan and the others greeted Wei Feng and handed their Entry Letters to Liu Zhang, “Thank you.”

Liu Zhang skillfully processed everything and, in the end, handed a gilded black card to each of them.

“This is the Sky Patrol Black Card. Activate it with Star Power to bind it.”

Following Liu Zhang’s instructions, Su Yuan and the others bound the Black Cards on the spot and found there were quite a few things inside.

Liu Zhang explained, “Apart from being an ID, the Black Card has many functions, including notifications, communications, and directions. Your residence allocation is also in the notification.”

Su Yuan checked and saw that he was assigned to Zhu Yuan 777.

The Black Card also had a map feature. The Vermilion Bird Imperial was in the southeast part of the Sky Patrol Department.

Liu Zhang continued, “You can now go to your residences. If you have any questions, you can come to Jiyin Hall…

By the way, everyone who joins the Sky Patrol Department can receive a Purple Card as an entry benefit.”

“Receive a Purple Card?”

Su Yuan and the others were surprised.

Wow, they were given a Purple Card just by joining?

Even Lin Chongyun, who was from Zicheng Mountain, was stunned, let alone a wandering hero like Xiong Chunyang, whose eyes widened!

“No wonder the Sky Patrol Department is so generous! Hey, coming back to Great Flame this time, Old Xiong really made the right choice!”

The group left Jiyin Hall.

“See you later then.”

Xiong Chunyang laughed, “Sure, since we’re all in the Sky Patrol Department, we’ll see each other again!”

Since they joined the department together, they naturally felt closer to each other than with others.

However, the four belonged to different Imperial Guardian divisions, so they went their separate ways…

Following the Black Card’s guide, Su Yuan arrived at the southeast Vermilion Bird Imperial and then at Zhu Yuan.

“This is practically a garden villa…”

Su Yuan looked at the large standalone villas spaced out in the garden and couldn’t help but be amazed.

Soon, he found 777 based on the marker and opened the door with the Black Card.

The expansive flat had simple furniture for basic residence, but there was an integrated barrier for isolation and dust removal.

Su Yuan took a look and was satisfied. He then tidied up before taking out the Black Card to check again.

In it, there was a notification titled, [Entry Guide of the Sky Patrol Department].

It included entry-related matters, the functions of various departments and buildings within the Sky Patrol Department, and more.

It particularly mentioned that new envoys of the Sky Patrol Department could go to the Star Storage Hall to collect an Epic Star Card.

“The Star Store of the Sky Patrol Department… I can go to the Star Storage Hall to get the Purple Card now.”

Su Yuan smiled with a bit of anticipation.

After separating from the Demon Soul Avatar, he was short on skills, just in need of some supplementary ones.

Even the Demon Capital Academy had Epic Purple Cards of the Space system; how could the Great Flame Sky Patrol Department not have them?

Maybe he could get a satisfying Star Card.

Thinking this, Su Yuan got up and headed to the Star Storage Room…
