Two Realms: I Will Become the Immortal Emperor

Chapter 450: Chapter 419: Xiao Chan’s Plan

For the next period of time, Chen Che was completely swamped.

The first order of business was this batch of Fierce Beast Pills.

Although he didn’t know what ingredients True Master Chixia had used in that great Pill before his death, Chen Che estimated that the quality of their batch, even if not quite on par, wouldn’t be much worse. The moment they truly began the refining process, a huge problem immediately arose:

With their current Cultivation, they were unable to refine the two Flood Dragon Heads in a short amount of time.

Left with no choice, they could only resort to a long and patient process to wear them down.

Once the Pill refining process had begun, it could not be stopped.

To ensure none of the spiritual essence was lost, two Golden Core True Masters sat before the Pill Furnace at all times. The furnace fire burned day and night. They even periodically used the Taibai Jade Bamboo to speed up the refining. It took a full half-month of continuous refining before there was finally some movement within the furnace.

In addition, Duobao’s third Pardon Decree was delivered to Jinyun Valley.

Hu Yao intercepted it again. The Chief Steward delivering the message didn’t even get to see Chen Che. After waiting for two days, he left the decree and departed in disgrace. Chen Che didn’t find out about it until three days later.

At the same time, he also learned that Xiao Chan had fought two Golden Core cultivators from the Primordial Sect outside the city. Apparently, Xiao Chan had used the effects of a Wangxian Pill to recover from his injuries early and had attempted to leave Faqian City under the cover of darkness.

The two Golden Core cultivators assigned to watch him moved to intercept. But who could have predicted that Xiao Chan would lash out so violently? He killed one of them and severely wounded the other before casually returning to the city.

Following this incident, the surviving cultivator immediately sent a plea for help to the Primordial Sect, which explained the third Pardon Decree. Chen Che also learned that besides himself, the decree had been sent to four other unlisted Golden Core cultivators under the Sect’s jurisdiction.

While Chen Che ignored it, the other four rushed to Faqian City the moment they received their decrees.

’This guy is probably trying to pull the rug out from under them, wiping out all the Primordial Sect’s Golden Core cultivators in one fell swoop.’

Although Xiao Chan hadn’t replied, Chen Che had already figured out his plan.

He clearly had the power to leave, yet he remained in Faqian City. It was obvious he wanted to act as bait. If Xiao Chan succeeded, a whole batch of the Primordial Sect’s Golden Core True Masters would be wiped from existence.

Of course, the plan was incredibly risky.

After burning the Pardon Decree, Chen Che summoned Yu Sihai, who was waiting outside.

「Two days prior.」

Yu Sihai, who had gone to Celestial State to be formally recognized by his clan, had already returned. However, Chen Che had been busy with Alchemy in the back mountains and only now had the time to summon him.

”Greetings, Valley Master.”

Yu Sihai stepped into the main hall and immediately performed a full kowtow.

Chen Che raised a hand, gestured for him to sit, and poured him a cup of hot tea before asking with a smile, ”How was your trip back to your main clan? How does it compare to Jinyun Valley?”

Yu Sihai accepted the teacup, his face filled with apprehension.

To have a Golden Core True Master personally pour tea was an honor few could claim. Although Jinyun Valley had many subordinate powers, only a handful ever got to meet Chen Che in private. This was especially true after his Core Formation; he had become utterly elusive.

However, the question made him hesitate...

”Don’t worry. Speak freely.”

”Yes.”

Yu Sihai took a small sip of the Spirit Tea to compose himself and began to speak slowly.

”The main clan is indeed vast. It is a thousand-year-old clan, after all, and one that once founded a great sect like the Star-Picking Sect. Even though they are now confined within Celestial State, their power is not to be underestimated. In terms of sheer foundation, they surpass Jinyun Valley.”

”However, their development is extremely limited. Their trade is restricted to internal exchanges, and they have almost completely cut off contact with the outside world.”

”As for a comparison of our strengths, please forgive my low Cultivation, but I am not qualified to judge. In my view, however, it is only a matter of time before Jinyun Valley surpasses the main Yu Clan.”

Chen Che nodded slightly.

This assessment wasn’t far from his own predictions.

’However, the main Yu Clan should be even stronger than what Yu Sihai saw. At the very least, there are those six or seven Golden Core cultivators. And there are probably others who are traveling abroad and haven’t returned to the clan yet.’

’The Yu Clan has practically perfected the art of hiding their strength and biding their time.’

’And since Yu Sihai refused to rejoin the main clan, Yu Yunko would have certainly held some things back. It’s only natural that he doesn’t see the whole picture.’

”Will you regret not rejoining your main clan in the future?” Chen Che asked with a smile.

”Valley Master, my loyalty is absolute.”

Yu Sihai immediately grew flustered and said, ”I have never forgotten that you, Valley Master, saved my clan from disaster. If not for Jinyun Valley, my branch of the clan might have ceased to exist. Heaven and earth can attest to my loyalty to Jinyun Valley!”

’Compared to the main clan, Chen Che had indeed been their savior. Besides, the Chi State Yu Clan was now flourishing. Before long, they would produce their second, and even third, Foundation Establishment cultivator.’

’He was a man of conscience; how could he possibly abandon Jinyun Valley so easily?’

’To put it bluntly, while the Chi State Yu Clan couldn’t compare to the main branch in status, the territory they held was no worse. Staying with Jinyun Valley held a far more promising future than rejoining the main clan.’

”I’m not questioning your loyalty.”

Chen Che shook his head slowly and moved on to another matter. ”What about those clansmen from the main branch?”

”They will arrive in Chi State in a few days. When they do, I will publicly announce that they are a long-lost branch of our clan who have finally returned. Then, I will arrange for them to enter the Valley for Cultivation,” Yu Sihai reported.

After all, the main Yu Clan’s status was too sensitive. They couldn’t enter the valley openly, and their identities would be difficult to hide.

That was why Yu Yunko had proposed this solution.

”The roles are certainly reversed, with the side branch acting as the main clan,” Chen Che said with a smile, shaking his head.

’Still, this sort of thing is quite common. In the end, strength determines everything. A clan has many bloodlines and branches; only the most powerful one can become the main lineage.’

’This even happens in the Mortal World.’

”Go find Rong Shisan and have him handle the arrangements.”

Watching Yu Sihai leave, Chen Che slowly shook his head. He was noncommittal about the man’s choices; he had only wanted to probe the main Yu Clan’s true strength.

After all, during their time in Jinyun Valley, Yu Yunko and Yu Qian had surely been gathering intelligence about what went on inside.

’They might not become enemies in the future, but it was best to know them inside and out to avoid being kept in the dark. There were no saints in the Cultivator World. Any power that could stand for a thousand years was bound to have a few tricks up its sleeve.’

...

’So this is the final technique of the Taichu Haoyue Sword.’

Chen Che recalled his Sword Pill and exhaled a breath of stale air.

For the past month, aside from Alchemy, he had been focused on comprehending the final technique of the Taichu Haoyue Sword. He had learned these Sword Techniques at the Zhurong Daoist School. It was originally a Tier Four Swordsmanship, but had been demoted to Tier Three because it was missing its final technique.

But during the battle at the Sea Ruins, he had used his Sword Pill to execute this very technique, regardless of the cost, and seemed to have had a moment of insight.

After a period of filling in the gaps and refining his understanding, he discovered he could use the Sword Pill to execute the move, and its power was several times greater than the Bright Moon Technique. When unleashed, it was like a great sun appearing in the sky.

Once unleashed, it could easily slay an opponent one or two Realms above him.

This was the first time since he began his Cultivation that he had truly completed a Technique on his own, without relying on any external aid.

’No wonder this technique could never be completed on Earth Element Star. It turns out it requires a Sword Group to be properly executed. I wonder if submitting this technique to the Immortal Sect would be considered a major contribution.’

Chen Che couldn’t help but smile.

He was still thinking about the two remaining parts of the Celestial Derivation Five Elements Skill. According to the rules of Earth Element Star, he would have no chance of obtaining them without either making a major contribution or reaching Nascent Soul Formation.
