“Eeeek!”

A sharp sound assaulted his eardrums.

“Mages, have you been silenced?” Jiang Fei quickly asked.

“No!” Rosette Rose shot back.

“Thank god!” Jiang Fei breathed a sigh of relief. That would have been the worst case scenario. He would have to cope without healing again!

“Dadadadada…”

“What’s that sound?”

Jiang Fei was closest to the boss, so he heard nothing. However, Zhao Feng who was standing behind the entire party had thrown the question.

“What’s wrong, fatty?” Jiang Fei asked.

“Something’s not right!” Zhao Feng replied.

As soon as Zhao Feng’s voice fell, not only did the girls hear it, even Jiang Fei did!

It was the sound of a stampede — and it was growing!

“Oh, f*ck no! This boss’s ultimate summons a f*cking horde!” Jiang Fei lamented.

“What now, Ah Fei?” Rosette Rose asked.

“Everyone to me, now!” Jiang Fei shouted.

As the boss had just only used its Corrosive Spit, there was no need to worry about that for now!

The melee attackers Rosette Phantom and Sun Mengmeng were already beside Jiang Fei, so there was no need for them to move. The ranged attackers and Healers immediately went towards Jiang Fei. Running to him was simple enough. However, the two Healers Rosette Rose and Rosette Miaomiao could not do the same. They had to stop and heal every two steps they took. Otherwise, Jiang Fei, the main tank would die, if he was left unattended!

“Leader, activate your skill and heal me! Miaomiao, stop healing and just come over!” As the stampede closed in, Jiang Fei knew he had to step things up.

“Miaomiao, spam heal me. Leader, come here quick!” As soon as Rosette Miaomiao was there, Jiang Fei called out.

“Okay!” Rosette Rose immediately stopped healing and ran towards Jiang Fei.

As soon as Rosette Rose stopped healing, Jiang Fei’s Health Points plummeted. Even though Rosette Miaomiao was doing her best, Clerics were still way better at healing a group as a whole. In terms of healing a single target, Clerics were incomparable to Knights!

“Hurry!” Jiang Fei urged as he spotted the incoming huge Mutants.

“Holy shit!” When the little fatty Zhao Feng who was already in position looked at the oncoming army of Mutant Hatchlings, his jaw slammed into the ground.

There was a total of 50 Elite Mutant Hatchlings. Every single one of these puppy-sized disgusting creatures was giving it their all. At times, some of them had paced themselves too rapidly and end up jumping over their siblings. It did not seem to matter to them that their sharp claws left marks in their siblings’ backs.

“Healers, heal up! Fatty, activate Cloud Art! Dazzledance, focus on protecting the Healers!” Jiang Fei shouted. At the same time, he began to estimate the charging speed of the monsters and prepared to use a single Battle Cry and hit them all in one fell swoop!

He could not allow these monsters to attack as they wished. Three or four of them were enough to instantly kill someone with Cloth Armor. Even a Bandit with Light Armor would not last two flurries. Jiang Fei had to do everything he could to protect his party.

As soon as these monsters entered the battlefield, they immediately started registering aggro. As the Healers were continually healing Jiang Fei, the two Healers Rosette Miaomiao and Rosette Rose became their first target.

Battle Cry!

Jiang Fei had timed it down to the last second. Just as the first wave of Mutant Hatchlings closed in on the two Healers, Jiang Fei used Battle Cry and diverted their attention.

More than 40 Mutant Hatchlings changed their target to Jiang Fei, while the remaining six or seven were intercepted by Rosette Dazzledance!

…

A huge amount of damage figures popped up on Jiang Fei’s head. Even with Zhao Feng’s Cloud Art Air Shield protection, Jiang Fei still received more than a thousand damage per round!

If it was just these small monsters, the two Healers would have no problem healing Jiang Fei. However, the boss was already difficult enough. Now, they had to deal with an additional 1,000 damage per round.

“Don’t bother with the small monsters, focus on killing the boss!” At that moment, Jiang Fei saw no other option. The boss still had about 18% of its Health Points remaining, there was still hope if they risked it. They would never fend off the little ones without Zhao Feng’s Fire Art.

Now that everyone had turned to the boss, the full extent of the party’s power could be seen. Rosette Phantom stood among them like a titan. With the Epic sword in her hand, the boss lost chunks of its Health at once.

On the other hand, Jiang Fei’s Health Points was also decreasing rapidly. Every three or four seconds, Jiang Fei had lost about a thousand Health Points!

“Ding!”

A golden light flashed above Jiang Fei’s head and the special effect of the Blazing Hammer was triggered. The undying Jiang Fei had regained 50% of his Health Points!

Armored Bulwark!

Jiang Fei also activated one of his emergency skills. Although Claret Aegis was also rather useful, nearly 50 small monsters were attacking him. The three-time effect of Claret Aegis would be wasted!

“Kill it!” At this time, everyone, including Rosette Dazzledance the Sub-Tank was attacking as hard as they could. Everyone attacked the boss like no tomorrow.

“Oww…”

Following a scream, the Mutant Empress’ Health Points bar was finally emptied!

“Ding! You have eliminated Mutant Empress. Obtained 250,000 Experience Points!”

“Yay!” As soon as the boss fell, the girls cheered. At the same time, a golden light flashed across Sun Mengmeng’s body. She had reached Level 24!

“Oy, don’t celebrate yet, clear the small monsters!” Jiang Fei was also relieved. Without the high-damage boss, the 50 small monsters were no longer a threat.

“So much for being Elites!” Rosette Dazzledance scoffed.

“Yeah!” Jiang Fei nodded. Although they were all Elites, they were fairly weak. If 50 Evolving Mutants came instead, that would have been another story.

After the 50 monsters were killed, everyone obtained a huge amount of Experience. Sun Mengmeng had surpassed Happy Drunk, who was so busy with the construction of the guild that he had neglected to grind. At that moment, Jiang Fei’s party completely monopolized the Level Ranking Board!

“Wow wow! Should we look at what the boss dropped?” Rosette Miaomiao said excitedly.

Among the people present, other than Jiang Fei who had killed a real boss before, the others had only fought against an Advanced Elite boss, at most. Although such bosses were Dungeon bosses, they were not actually bosses. Even so, it was possible for the rewards of killing such bosses to appear in the form of a treasure chest!

This Mutant Empress was the first, actual high-level Boss that they have ever killed, so everyone was extremely excited!
