After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1631: Chapter 450: A Perfect Performance

To ensure the bullfight remains thrilling, Huang Kaiwen is more willing to take risks and doesn’t want the picadors to overly tire out the bull.

...

Milanello.

Due to the World Cup, the commencement of Serie A was delayed by 18 days compared to last year.

While Huang Kaiwen was participating in the bullfight, Milan hadn’t yet faced Lecce in their first match.

Originally supposed to head home after practice, the Milan players grabbed some snacks from the cafeteria and stayed in the tactics room to watch Huang Kaiwen’s bullfighting performance.

Guardiola and the coaching staff didn’t join the players.

Inzaghi tossed a cookie into his mouth and said: ”Sergio, what’s the next step?”

”The banderilleros make their entrance.”

Ramos replied.

”And then, will Kevin kill the bull today?” Inzaghi pressed.

”Of course he will!”

Ramos said without hesitation.

”What exactly will happen?”

Gattuso couldn’t help but ask.

This situation, with a teammate participating in a bullfight, made him eager to know the outcome.

”How should I know? Anyway, Kevin will definitely win!”

Ramos said somewhat impatiently.

He was also worried about Huang Kaiwen’s situation, not in the mood to discuss trivial matters with them.

”Aren’t you Spanish? How can you not know?”

Inzaghi said.

”And you’re Italian, can you make pizza?”

Ramos retorted.

”Alright, alright, let’s watch the bullfight.”

Buffon reminded.

Previously, he wished for Huang Kaiwen to get injured and stay away from the field.

But now he didn’t want to see Huang Kaiwen hurt.

The Milan players stared intently at the TV.

The bull, which initially seemed lethargic, displayed a rather aggressive side after the banderilleros entered the arena.

The first banderillero didn’t expect the bull to charge with such speed. Choosing between avoiding injury and planting the banderillas, he opted to ensure his safety and dodged the bull, quickly scaling the fence into the stands.

The crowd erupted in boos.

”Damn, that idiot.”

Ramos shouted angrily.

Placing the banderillas is also a crucial part of weakening the bull.

Given the bull’s displayed speed, it clearly still had plenty of energy.

The best outcome would naturally be to have all six banderillas, from three pairs, embedded into the bull.

But the first team’s mishap meant that even with complete success thereafter, only four banderillas would be in place.

The second banderillero, dressed in blue, was ready.

There was absolute silence in the tactics room.

The Milan players even forgot to breathe.

The bull moved!

Its charging speed remained swift.

But at the critical moment, the banderillero took the risk of injury, leaping and successfully planting two banderillas on the bull’s back.

”Yes!”

”Well done!”

”Beautiful!”

The room resounded with whistles.

The meaning of the whistles here was different from those at the bullring.

The Milan players were highly satisfied with the banderillero’s performance.

Kaka clasped his hands together, his fingers turning pale from poor circulation.

He had specifically learned about the rules of bullfighting beforehand.

If the next set of banderillas hit their mark, then Huang Kaiwen would take the stage for the kill.

If they miss, and there are fewer than four banderillas on the bull’s back, an additional set can be attempted, but if they miss again, the bull must be fought as it is.

Too few banderillas won’t exhaust the bull sufficiently.

Instead, it might further enrage the bull.

Kaka could only silently pray, hoping the banderillero would succeed.

But within seconds, the room was filled with curses.

The bull’s speed was too fast, and the first banderillero again gave up.

Now it depended on whether the additional set would hit the mark.

Bilbao.

Huang Kaiwen had already picked up the red muleta and sword.

Only the cloth in the matador’s hand is called the muleta, composed of red and yellow colors.

Seeing the banderillero fail to plant an additional set, Huang Kaiwen licked his lips.

In the previous events he participated in, there wasn’t such excitement and danger.

A mild sense of fear and immense excitement swirled within him, and his adrenaline surged.

On the sidelines.

The ancient horn resounded once more.

As the assistants left the arena, Huang Kaiwen pressed the sword behind the muleta and walked forward.

The bull, directed near the barrier by the assistants, saw Huang Kaiwen and was immediately enraged.

Its four hooves kicked up a cloud of dust as its massive body charged towards Huang Kaiwen at great speed.

Fans around the world held their breath in suspense.

The bull was almost upon him, yet Huang Kaiwen remained motionless.

Most importantly, a large portion of Huang Kaiwen’s body was concealed behind the muleta; the bull was clearly targeting him.

Was it a mistake?

Just as the bull was about to crash into Huang Kaiwen, he flicked his wrist, skillfully turning on his feet to elegantly avoid the sharp horns.

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

”Saint Kevin!”

The arena erupted with thunderous cheers and applause.

”Heh heh, Huang Kaiwen is still the same Huang Kaiwen, even in such a dangerous event like bullfighting, he maintains his signature composure.”

”Yes, the audience in a bullring loves to see matadors defusing danger, requiring them to get quite close to the bull. Huang Kaiwen’s deft sidestep was truly graceful, reminding me of a bullfighter named Enrico Ponce, renowned for his elegance.”

”Huang Kaiwen is really daring; to make such a dangerous move in his first bullfight is impressive. Once the bull gets close, it’s not as spectacular due to its weight, slowing it down when turning. Huang Kaiwen completely waited for the bull to close in before dodging, intentionally creating a visually pleasing experience for the audience.”
