After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1609: Chapter 445: Buffon: I’m Fucking Here

Maria crossed her arms and pouted as she spoke.

Seeing Marius walking towards Valentina, she quickly came over and pulled her sister to her side.

Cristina, who had prepared the tea and snacks, came out with a tray and set the tableware, saying, ”You’ll get it when you have kids. Family dynamics are more complex than a football team. These little ones often have conflicts and then suddenly reconcile.”

Guardiola shrugged and said, ”That’s right.”

”It’ll be better when they’re a bit older.”

Huang Kaiwen pulled out a stack of shopping cards and said, ”Oh right, earlier the gifts I brought were for the three of them, and this is for you guys. Since you’ve just arrived in Milan, you probably have a lot to buy.”

”Gifts, gifts...”

The three little ones gathered around their mother to see the gifts.

Guardiola joked as he looked at the shopping cards on the table, ”How come there aren’t any tea spending cards from Kevin? Some Barca players often go there.”

”I forgot.”

Huang Kaiwen dug another stored-value card for a milk tea shop from another pocket and placed it on the table.

Cristina walked over, slapped Guardiola on the shoulder, and said, ”Don’t mind Pep, he’s just joking. These are too extravagant.”

”It’s okay, as a player, I naturally have to please the new coach a bit.”

Huang Kaiwen joked halfway.

”Then you have to stay for lunch today. My goodness... I haven’t prepared anything.”

Saying this, Cristina hurriedly ran to the kitchen.

The little ones, having received their gifts, ran over excitedly.

Maria, holding a teddy bear, ran to the sofa, gave Huang Kaiwen a peck on the cheek, and then giggled as she ran away.

Valentina wanted to copy her sister but was scooped up by a jealous Guardiola.

”Let me go, Dad...”

Valentina struggled and shouted.

Guardiola said, ”It’s still 15 years too early for you to be kissing others. Maria, take them to play in the yard.”

Maria held up ten fingers.

Guardiola gestured five fingers back.

Seeing him insist, Maria could only grumpily take her younger siblings out to play.

Guardiola laughed and explained, ”We have her babysitting her siblings to earn some pocket money. She’s been asking for a raise recently. I really should see if I have any French blood.”

”If she goes on strike, you should indeed be careful.”

Huang Kaiwen replied with a laugh.

People in most European countries love making jokes about the French.

After the kids went out, Guardiola poured Huang Kaiwen a glass of red wine and asked, ”A little drink shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

”Of course not.”

Huang Kaiwen sipped the wine and replied.

”So what are your thoughts on the team for the new season, Kevin? Or do you have any particular tactical preferences?” Guardiola asked.

The reason he invited Huang Kaiwen over was to win over the team’s top star before the players returned.

”I don’t have any particular preferences or demands. I feel any tactics could work.”

Huang Kaiwen replied.

”That’s the best news.”

Guardiola’s smile became much more genuine as he sighed and said, ”I haven’t managed many teams. Barca has a youth training tradition, and I’m familiar with them. Coming to Milan, I’m a bit worried about my relationship with the players since Milan has so many big stars.”

”I believe Mr. Gagliani and the club will support you. The coach is the one who calls the shots for the team.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”With your reassurance, I’m relieved. Mr. Gagliani told me someone wanted to leave, and I also have players I want to bring in, but I feel many players on the team are quite strong, and now I’m unsure what to do.”

Guardiola said.

”With summer training soon, you can assess them while considering new transfers, and there’s also the winter break to bring in new players.”

Huang Kaiwen advised.

”That sounds much better, inviting you over was indeed a wise decision.”

Guardiola said with a smile.

Cristina came out of the kitchen and remarked to her husband, ”Don’t keep dragging Kevin into talking about the team. It’s the off-season, players have vacations too.”

”Alright, alright.”

Guardiola raised his hands in a surrender gesture.

Then he turned to ask, ”Want to see my study? I have quite a few books and some related to The Beatles.”

”Of course, I’d love to. The Beatles are an outstanding band.”

Huang Kaiwen stood up and said.

Coaches and players are regular people too.

They all have their own interests and hobbies.

Capello is quite passionate about all kinds of art and travel. Fat Ancelotti enjoys watching movies and indulging in gourmet food. Mourinho is very fond of egg tarts, similar to Ancelotti’s sweet tooth.

In the study, Huang Kaiwen saw Guardiola’s collection.

Guardiola held a sealed album and introduced it, ”This is their first album, ’Please Please Me,’ released in 1962. It’s quite rare to get an unopened one, and it took me a lot of effort.”

”It’s preserved really well.”

Huang Kaiwen agreed.

Old things generally have stains.

Guardiola’s was in impressively good condition.

”Right? It took a lot to convince the previous owner to sell it.”

Guardiola said with some pride.

”Getting hold of it indeed isn’t easy. I have some collections too.”

Huang Kaiwen nodded.

He had bought some figurines before.

”You probably missed the initial sale, or perhaps you hadn’t yet started liking them, and collecting later can be quite an endeavor.”

Guardiola nodded and said.

The two chatted for a long time in the study until his wife knocked on the door, calling them for dinner.

After the meal, Huang Kaiwen sat for a little while and then took his leave.

In the following days, he continued to roam around Milan. The city hadn’t changed much over the years.

July 20th.

The day Milan players returned for team activities.

Ring ring ring —

Seredova rubbed her eyes and reached for her phone, seeing that it was only four o’clock. She nudged Buffon and complained, ”Are you crazy, setting such an early alarm?”

Sleepy-eyed, Buffon turned his head to look at Seredova, and suddenly, with a start, rolled off the bed and rushed into the bathroom.

”Hey, Gigi, you played in the World Cup, you don’t need to return so early.”

Seeing Buffon not responding, Seredova mumbled a few words and continued to sleep.

Over half an hour later, Buffon came out of the bathroom.

After drying himself, he began changing clothes.

He tried on several outfits before finding one he was satisfied with; he combed his hair in the mirror before leaving his new home.

The thought of meeting his new teammates today made Buffon’s steps a bit lighter. Driving, he floored the accelerator all the way to Milanello. Looking at the gates of the training base, Buffon couldn’t help but shout, ”Milan, I’m fucking here...”
