After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1581: Chapter 440: The Iron Rod Legacy

”Champions, we are the champions!!!”

On the stands, Hojer watched as Terry’s kids were lifted by Huang Kaiwen, his face full of envy.

Their father, Raul, wasn’t much of a player, and now, he didn’t even qualify to be Kevin’s teammate.

Ah, if only I could be Terry’s son.

Huang Kaiwen held George and Somer, one in each hand.

Ramos, Bale, Huntelaar, and Terry stood behind him.

The photographers couldn’t help but smile; Terry’s kids wouldn’t pose for a picture with him.

Then Cech quickly pulled Huang Kaiwen for a photo.

In case Huang Kaiwen really transferred, at least there’d be a memento.

Huang Kaiwen became the busiest person at that moment.

Once the photos were mostly done, Mourinho came up and embraced Huang Kaiwen fiercely.

Boas was accompanied by UEFA officials.

Huang Kaiwen asked, ”Doping test?”

”Not you, it’s for Gareth and Sergio,”

Boas replied.

UEFA is too lazy to test Huang Kaiwen now and only does it occasionally.

Today, Bale and Ramos were very active, so they got targeted.

...

Mixed interview zone.

Robben stood in front of the camera and said, ”I tried my best, we didn’t do well enough. Some people didn’t perform, and we lost the match. Of course, even if they performed well, it would be hard to win. Kevin’s dominance is too strong; he is the best winger in the world.”

”Is he better than you? How about compared to Ribery?”

Robben looked at the reporter with a disdainful expression and said, ”Kevin is obviously better than me, I’m just second place. As for Ribery, huh, no left-sided player in the world is on the same level as Kevin.”

After speaking, Robben hurriedly left.

Terry became the target of reporters.

”How are you feeling right now, John?”

The reporter asked.

Terry wiped his forehead, one hand on his hip, and said, ”Of course I’m happy. Defending the title is a great achievement. I’m thrilled to win the UEFA Champions League two years in a row.”

”Who was the most important member on your road to the championship?”

The reporter pressed on.

Terry laughed and said, ”Of course it’s Kevin, unless you want me to say someone else. Before Kevin, I’d never seen a player score so many goals in a final. He makes football look like a joke, but without Kevin, you’d experience how hard it is to deal with the other giants. The opponents are strong, but Kevin is stronger!”

”Rumor has it that Kevin is going to Bayern; what do you think about that?”

Terry shook his head and said, ”Maybe I should go to Bayern too? I don’t know if they’d be willing to make an offer for me. Just kidding. If Kevin goes to Bayern, next time we meet, we’d be the ones getting thrashed.”

”Aren’t you willing to go to Bayern?”

The reporter asked curiously.

”Of course, I’d love to play with Kevin, but I’ve been living in London for a long time. I can’t just leave like that. I have a deep connection with the team and the fans, plus my kids go to school and grow up here. They have their own friends. I can’t make such a selfish decision.”

Terry said.

The nearby British reporters almost couldn’t hold back their laughter.

Hearing something like that coming from Terry’s mouth just sounds ironic.

If you’d stay out of the news for cheating, your kids would probably be happier.

Modric and Cech were also giving interviews in the mixed zone.

Bale was sharing the joy of winning the championship with his family.

Post-match press conference site.

The Bernabeu’s press room is more luxurious than other big clubs.

And it’s more spacious.

Even so, it was packed with people.

Many reporters were standing in the aisles.

The doors to the press room couldn’t even close.

When the coaches from both teams arrived, the room erupted in a huge noise.

The already packed press room didn’t smell too pleasant.

”Mr. Mourinho, this is the largest margin in a UEFA Champions League final; was the opponent too weak?”

”Kevin, can you tell us your next destination? Are you ready to attend the beer festival?”

”Louis, who is responsible for Bayern’s thrashing today? Will you resign out of responsibility?”

”Jose, have you considered coaching the National Team? Many people in Portugal hope you will coach the National Team.”

”Six consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, what do you have to say, Kevin?”

”...”

Van Bommel wasn’t called upon, which he was happy about since being noticed after a loss can lead to being criticized.

Van Gaal sighed and said, ”Yes, we lost. The absence of Franck Ribery due to suspension had a big impact, but the bigger issue is Kevin’s strength. If you go to the Netherlands, you’d see that now the number 10 jersey and the left winger are what those kids love most. Getting the number 10 jersey in the youth team isn’t easy. Jose’s tactical arrangement was good, but Kevin was the key.”

”So you think Bayern lost because of Kevin?”

Van Gaal nodded and said, ”You could say that. Kevin’s strength is superior; he scored 6 goals and made 1 assist in the final. Such performance is not by luck. His goals in past UEFA Champions League finals are more than many top forwards’ career UEFA Champions League goals combined. No one can match Kevin’s finals performance.”

Mourinho sat there playing with his fingers.

He had argued with Van Gaal before, but it hadn’t escalated to a fallout.

At this moment, he didn’t want to say anything.

But the reporters didn’t want to let Mourinho go and someone asked, ”Mr. Mourinho, Mr. Van Gaal said Bayern lost mainly because of Kevin, what do you think?”
